I put some gas at a race way.then my engine light came on said I need a mass air flow sensor.i put some complete system cleaner so I'm run out that gas.and see if the engine light goes off.if not I'm trying cleaning it with some air sensor cleaner.

@@DankAriZonaTea oh nice. I'm trying to clean mine in my Nissan versa. The check engine light has been on for so long. When I tested it they said it was the MAF sensor. I cleaned it but the check engine light is still on. Did the same happen to you?

Hi white smoke started coming out of the exhaust and the check engine light came on. It hasn’t overheated, there’s no visible leaks and the smoke happens occasionally. I took it to auto zone for a Fix Finder Service Report. The solution given was replacing the MAF but they recommended I cleaning it first. It was cleaned but the check engine light came back on and I went back to Auto Zone. The report solution was the same issue so I guess the MAF needs to be replaced 🤦♀️ but now someone explained to me that it might be the Evap Control? When it rains it pours… seriously
White smoke usually means coolant is getting into the combustion chambers of your vehicle. This generally happens because of a cracked or leaking head gasket, which allows coolant to seep into your cylinders. In extreme cases, you will need to replace your head gasket. As far as the maf it could be needing to get replaced if you tried cleaning it. In rare cases, it is possible that the fault codes or the symptoms you’re seeing in your Maxima are not due to a bad MAF sensor, but because of broken electrical wires or a bad connector.
@@ScorpionMultimedia so the engine was flushed and there wasn’t any water liquid in the engine oil? The mechanic said the head gaskets aren’t damaged? It’s loosing power as I drive the car but no overheating at all

How long does it usually take for the check engine light to turn off following a cleaning?
After you clean it wait a few to make sure the cleaner evaporated check the directions of the mass air flow sensor you’re using and once you reconnect it it should immediately go away if not scan the car to read the codes, but if it still illuminated could be another reason the check engine light is on
@@ScorpionMultimedia I appreciate your input. Is it safe to assume that if I cleaned it and the check light engine light is still on that it might be time to get a new one? I got error code P0101.
thrax, if you still have it ill check out the code, but try doing an idle relearn (find online) and see if it fixes your issues
you have to clear the code manually with a obd 2 scanner. Most any cheap scanner will work.
