Ive been plagued with this p0101 code for years. Tried everything. Changed air flow meter. And map sensors. I allways comes back. But found a way to stop it. Not exactly a fix but works. I noticed if i had mine in sports mode. Ups power slightly and tickover. The po101 code dont come back. ? So i went into manual adaptations Custom selection on car screen. Set power to sports. Then comfort mode with stop start off. It works no more problems and no real difference in fuel consumption. Try it !

hello sir. Great videos you got there. I forgot to put the MAP SENSOR back after spraying some electronic contact cleaner. I road tested my car for about 30 min when I noticed the CHECK ENGINE light turn on. I stopped the car and put back the sensor plug in but the check engine light stayed on even after I performed some resetting tries (unplugged the negative battery terminal 1 minute put it back and turned on ignition). I then notice my engine to be a bit hotter than usual and wilder engine vibration upon turning off engine (when the MAP SENSOR is OUT - though normal vibration when the MAP is PLUGGED in). kindly guide me on what to do. thanks and hoping to hear from you soon. 2012 Mitsubishii Strada - Philippines
Excellent video. I have a question for you. I have a 2012 Rogue with a MAF problem p01 01 code. The Nissan dealer replaced the MAF. I replaced the air cleaner. I did not replace the PCV valve yet. The dealer I go to tells me they cannot fix the problem any more than they have because they do not have a Master Technician??? I am going to have to travel a ways to get a dealer with a Master Technician. The engine light has gone on twice now. It is supposedly fixed now. If not and the light goes on again and the car seems to run fine I want to turn off the engine light. I purchased a Walmart Hyper Tough HT 100 code reader. It is not much on instructions. It connects with your phone via Blue Tooth to give an explanation of the code. I do not need an explanation and I just want to turn off the engine light. My question is, do I have to use the Blue Tooth feature with the HT 100 or can I just plug it to the plug in the car, turn the ignition to on, read the code, and push the red button to clear the code?? Thank you, Tom Spero

Excellent.. intuitive video! Question: I have a code P0420 after muffler got cut..replaced with after market and new O2 sensor, but still come back with after ran on freeway 50-60 miles. May I get an advise... Thx !!
I have a ST 2.5 ford focus it got a circuit A high voltage fault P 0103 i did test my wiring with the multimeter and my 12v. from the fuse box is right then if I test the wiring the negative ,signal I also get 12v but if I remove the connector plug with the engine running the 12v falls away on all of them axcept on the 12v from the fuse box so to me it looks if the mass airflow is at fault but iam not sure what must the voltage be .The ford focus st 2.5 wiring diagram does not show me on the wiring diagram what colour is signal 5volt or negative .
Have you tried conducting the tests in this video whilst wiggling the wiring loom from the MAF to the ECU? A performance code can sometimes be set when an intermittent fault occurs, such as damaged wiring that only becomes problematic under load or due to engine vibration. We would also recommend checking for air leaks in the intake system, as these can also cause the P0101. Hope this helps!
@@rlmbuildingful no i am going in on the 29th to ex holden mechanics.... thr car drives beautifully but this code will not go :( i have only changed 2 of 4 oxygen sensors so other than that i wouldnt have a clue... heres hoping! Please let me know if and how you resolve yours if you do...

I was curious I have a 2013 Subaru WRX STI which gives me intermittent problems mainly misfires and multiple random error codes although no Mass air sensor codes but still wondering if I have some weird mass air flow sensor intermittent problem. I need to change and check the spark plugs which is a pain in the butt on a Subaru. If that doesn't fix it I have an ECM ready to replace my current ECM which I am suspicious of with the random error codes.
Hi. Sounds like a good diagnostic process, checking if the MAF sensor is clean is always a quick and easy fix when dealing with misfires. Hopefully you find the cause of your faults soon!🙏
Yes, I already cleaned my mass air sensor. I need to change my plugs but I suspect it is the ECU with all the erratic error codes. The ECU is under my passenger side carpet, but the biggest problem is unlinking my Cobb tuner from the current ECU and programming my new-used ECU it says 2013 WRX STI on my eBay replacement ECU but hopefully, it is truly compatible. I don't know if it is from the automatic transmission version or even if that truly matters? Cobb told me that ECUs from several years should work with my car hopefully, it truly works. I may have damaged my ECU during COVID when the car sat for a prolonged period with a dome light on and the Optima battery went dead, and I had to try multiple tricks to try to recharge it without success. I'm not looking forward to changing the sparkplugs on that car, though. Not much clearance and a lot to disassemble to get to the plugs. I have changed cam timing belts that were actually easier, particularly on simple 4-cylinder motors.@@Ecutestinglimited

Hi. A dirty or faulty throttle body can sometimes be the cause of a P0101 fault code, however we would still recommend completing the checks in this video to rule out a fault with the MAF sensor or its circuit first as this is the more likely cause.
Hi. The P1479 fault code usually indicates a problem with the brake booster system on Volkswagen vehicles. We would recommend checking vacuum lines, hoses, and connections for any signs of damage, leaks, or disconnections.

I ran all tests look fine, values within range, voltage present at the connections. I guess the only thing is to check the wire resistance from ECU to the sensors? Maybe some intermittent short
Hi. It would definitely be worth checking the readings at the ECU to ensure the fault doesn't lie with it or the wiring. However, if you are getting good readings at the MAF/IAT connector then it is unlikely the fault would be with the ECU itself. We would recommend checking the terminal tension on the sensor connector to ensure it isn't damaged, or you could conduct the tests again whilst wiggling the wiring loom all the way from the sensor to the ECU to see if the fault is caused intermittently by damaged wiring shorting when the engine is vibrating. If these all check out ok then it probably means the sensor(s) are the cause of the fault. Hope this helps!
Check EGR valve isn’t stuck open. Diesels change things, if a EGR valve is stuck open and the cylinder is getting filled with egr as well as airflow, there will be less airflow to fill the cylinder, hence a airflow meter fault code.. blanking the egr with a temporary blanking plate or watching egr valve live data while driving will tell you what you wanna know 👍
@@Taylor-DM156 EGR valve has been mechanically blocked and removed from ECU correctly by an indy garage. Resetting adaptation values specifically with Xentry software seems to get rid of the issue.
