- WCW was known for a lot of great moments in it's history, but there were also some questionable moments... Moments that made you say "what the hell were they thinking?" These are some bizarre WCW moments.

It's worth noting that David Arquette donated all the money he made from WCW to Owen Hart's family. Seems like a pretty upstanding guy.
CuppaKofe yea, and the fact that he didn't want to win the title, meant he really didn't want to tarnish the history of the belt... but... WCW. 😃
eric probably threatened to give it to Judy Bagwell if David didn't play along.
We would have had a 2nd "Judy Bagwell on a forklift" match
I'm pretty sue that's Vince Russo were talking about. Even Eric was never that stupid.
"BRO! I SWEAR TO GOD, YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHERE WE'RE PUTTING JUDY BAGWELL THIS TIME! THIS IS GONNA PRINT MONEY BRO!"

i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Ulises Ricky instablaster ;)
Where was Robocop when Sting fought Triple H?
Playing chess with Arnold in the back.
@@THESAINTSINS
Lol
Yeah. That Would've Evened The Odds, Even Though We All Know That Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Sting & Kevin Nash Can Take On All 5 Members Of DX. I Bet 3 Of Them Can Take On All 5 Members Of DX.
Those WCW "mini-movies" deserves a dishonorable mention.
Best call Jim Ross ever made in his carrier: "...BUT HERE COMES ROBOCOP"
BAW GAHD ALMIGHTY!! ITS ROBO COP!!!
haha
now that I think about it, its better than "aww son of a bitch" or "as God as my witness, he is broken in half"
OH MAH GAWD HE BROKE THE CAGE IN HALF....THAT CAGE HAS A FAMILY!
1:43
According to Scott Hall in a YouShoot, the vomit was actually mushroom soup. It was given to him by virgil and they would pour it in a soda can.
I was a loyal WCW fan until January 1999 when the Finger Poke of Doom killed everything. Damn...
Christian Hollister Yeah, that's when you could tell they'd run out of ideas. NWO should have veen killed off before the split, and it would have made for a great angle for Bret Hart.
Yup
Me too man!! I was the biggest WCW mark ever, until that night! I turned my back on the company after that.
Scott Steiner bringing a tiger to ringside was amazing. They must have had that thing drugged, otherwise he would have gotten loose and jumped into the crowd.
Mike Baldwin only Scott could do such a thing! Lol
Mike Baldwin Cmon u know Big Poppa Pump wouldn't let that happen! He's put it in the Steiner recliner. 😎
Mike Baldwin
I don't think so. The Tiger may have been sedated though.
That Could've Got Ratings For That,, Along With The Man With The Largest Arms In Sports Entertainment Big Poppa Pump.
By "that thing", you mean Scotty Steiner, right?
I will forever defend Russo's epic burial of Hogan, lmao! Everything he said was spot on & needed to be said!! It was the only good thing he ever did in WCW, lol! 😂😂😂
anyone remember Mick Foley losing his memory and living hard on the streets in the early 90s
Holyshit I remember that
Wow nostalgia
How about that PPV where Big Show had a monstertruck sumo match against Hulk Hogan on the roof of the building, then got thrown from that roof by Hogan just to return to the ring about 2 - 3 hours later to win the championship. Even if one believed that Hulk Hogan just killed Big Show the storyline absolutely made no sense and was way over the top.
Dead Phoenix lol that's definitely a bizarre moment!
hahahaha!! yeah and i think the reason they were feuding was because big show had just found out he was hulk hogan's long lost son or something like that. and they decided to settle the score once and for all... in a monster truck sumo match... ?
There's a great moment between Bobby Heenan and Eric Bischoff on that show. Heenan, obviously trying to make it less stupid, asks which side of the building the Giant fell from, since there was a river on one side. Bischoff dismisses the question completely, as if Heenan is blowing the whole angle, and Heenan gives him a look of utter hatred before turning away in disgust.
Nick Mercer I think they were feuding because apparently Big Show or Giant was the son of Andre the Giant and he was getting his revenge on Hogan for beating Andre
Dead Phoenix LMAO HONESTLY I WAS A LITTLE KID WHEN I WATCHED IT AND I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HULK KILLED THE GIANT
WWF (back then) had their share of stupid things. Like "Papa Shango" doing his voodoo gimmick by putting "spells" on wrestlers to make them bleed from their heads, blood running down their faces, and even vomiting.
Then there was one with The Undertaker standing on top of the Titantron telling "Kane" he is going to bury/kill him, then he strikes his hands toward Kane and it looks like lightning bolts came from the Undertaker's hands and hit Kane. It was pyrotechnics, but cheezy as f**K!
Spetsnaz Pocomaxa papa shango was great and the other is nitpicky. if you would've said the Katie Vick angle or the Brawl for All maybe you'd have a point.
man i loved papa shango shit and undertaker segments when he used his dark powers that shyt was gold
Krazh Bandicoot shyt?
That Yeti looked just like a mummy.
I remember reading somewhere that The Yeti was initially meant to be Giant Gonzalez returning to WCW dressed in a similar way he did during his WWF run. But that didn't happen due to health problems, so they put Ron Reis in a mummy costume in a last ditch effort. I can't confirm if this is true, as I've only read about it, so yeah, take it with a grain of salt.
I just re-read Alvarez's book on the rise and fall of WCW. It's incredible how it all fell to shit.
Jay Harper great book!
Glacier...he had a ton of promos before debut, a costume and enterance that looked like it cost $100,000, and then they fed him to Goldberg
Hogan seeing Warrior in the mirror, the fans seeing him, but Bischoff can't. Or wait does stupid count as well??
teflon btm lol, that was quite bizarre for sure!
Eric Bischoff Must Be Incapable Of Seeing Ghosts/Spirits, Even Though About 99.6 Of The World Hasn't Neither.
WCW had a good thing going for a while. Before Hogan turned heel, man, he was getting booed out of the building!. People were tired of the same old red and yellow colored Hogan with his train, say your prayers and eat your vitamins.
The NWO thing was gold, but Hogan and Bischoff tried to make it too big and too quick. That is what killed them. Plus they didn't have "the brains" to run a wrestling company. The do's and don'ts. The final nail in the coffin was ending Bill Goldberg's winning streak. Even Bobby Heenan admitted that.
Russo didn't help matters either.
Honorable mention: The guy who WCW got dressed up to look like the villain from "Quest for Camelot" and walk down the aisle yelling at the crowd to be quiet while handing out T-shirts to promote the film.
The Fingerpoke of Doom was one of the biggest WTF moment of WCW as the ratings are already declining.
Shadowsega V2 yea... I was getting bored with WCW at the time, and even as a huge nWo fan I was let down... started watching A LOT more WWF in '99.
@@NikateeN I Saw A Big Difference Between WCW & WWE In The Early Spring Of 1999 & In November/Half Of December 1999, Then Most Of 2000 & 6 Weeks In 2001.
WCW was my childhood until 1999 all the way until 2001 R.I.P. WCW
naw I wacthed during this time. great matches with 3 count and yung dragons tag team. many other great matches with Booker T and other wrestlers. Jarrett was entertaining. I watched WCW and WWF.
So two years was your childhood?
1999 was right around the same time when WCW started getting really shitty all thanks to Russo.
The Great American Bash 2000 is a guilty pleasure of mine
What about the Rap vs Country Music era??
Chris Davis correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that when Rey mysterio Eddie gurerro konnan and somebody else vs some county people were going like they hate rap
Adrian Ramirez rap is crap
Adrian Ramirez and now rap + country has emerged as crap....well thats most new music now
Steve Butler curt henning predicted crap country rap
So much Rick Steiner in this video 😂 he really was involved in some strange moments
"Needless to say, Kiss were the only winners that night" LOL
Best thing that happened during that atrocious Russo era WCW was Daffney! I still want to marry Daffney, she can scream anytime she wants.
Do not forget Stacey Keibler. When I 1st saw her I fell in love....lol.. And, she is still hot...
Souled Out 1997 was weird when Bischoff kissed Mrs Becky making her queen or Miss NWO
Stehpanie is Stephanie's twin. She came out of the womb... wrong
5:21 i thought that was randy orton next to hall lol
I ain't gonna lie, I think the basic concept of WCW being full-blown edgy and gritty was actually a good idea but the problem was the way they handle it and they waited too long to do it as by that point fans were mostly watching the WWF instead of WCW.
While bizarre, the Yet-tay is the thing I remember most about WCW 1995.
Thank you for a video that gets right to each moment-not dragging out stupid stuff or some long dumb theme song for the first 2 minutes of the video. Very entertaining and informative--and some real lol moments.
theWHIPLASH you're very welcome, and thanks for watching!
That ad
"It looks like something a bird left on the hood of my car"
Was also published late on April 9th the day after the event so um yeah
Awesome video. I remember all these ridiculous moments that always made me scratch my head as a wrestling fan. And I'm a fan of yours too, having watched vids you've done ever since the Scott Hall "Last Call" tribute you did years ago. Keep em coming!
This video actually brought me to your channel.
Cleary David was made champion to promote Ready to Rumble. I actually love that movie. WRESTLING NOT FAKE!!! LOL I love it.
In my opinion, Ready to Rumble is one of those "Its so bad its good" movies
Even WCW itself hated its last logo lmao that's amazing
The debut of The Giant was laughably amazing. A lot of the Dungeon of Doom segments straight out of a badly written comic book.
Kevin "Gamesmaster" Sullivan said that was to make Hogan comfortable and ultimately make it more palatable to Hogan to turn heel ...
Glad to see the "Yet-tay" on the list. The last 40 minutes or so of Halloween Havoc 1995 are a bit of a mess.😂
you make the best content, please don't stop making it.
Rodofo Gomez thanks! I don't plan on stopping!
We need a bizarre WWE moments now. One of them is Katie Vick, Hand baby, The Old Day, New Day and its Time machine, Muppets guest hosting Raw, The giant and the beanstalk segment... And many, many others.
great video man i enjoy watching your videos keep up the great work.
Judy Bagwell on a forklift match, was lame.
Big fan of you videos. Keep em coming.
Taylor the Tweaker thanks a lot! You guys keep watching, and I'll keep dishin' 'em out!
What about the complete misuse of raven and his flock?
SDallstar that was more a tragedy than anything..
Yeah, WCW'S Raven's Flock & WWE 's Ministry Of Darkness. & WCW'S The NWO & WWE'S The Corporation, Since Both Were Led By The Boss. Even When Richard Flair Became President, Eric Bischoff Was Still The NWO'S Boss.Or Raven's Flock & The Corporation & The NWO & The Ministry Of Darkness. Imagine In 1999, In A WCW vs WWE'S Top Heels, The Undertaker, Kane, The Rock, The Big Show & Viscera vs Hollywood, Hogan, Kevin Nash , Scott Hall, Reese & Sid Vicious.
I Know Lex Luger Was A Top Heel Too. Hell As Heels, Lex Luger & Sid Vicious Could Be For The Rock & Triple H. I Wanted Hogan (Who's Standing Next To Nash Is 6'9"), Nash & Sid Vicious For The Undertaker, Kane & Big Show. & Reese For Viscera. Lex Luger & Scott Hall For The Rock & Triple H. The Rock & HHH Were Both Heels After Wrestlemania 1999.
Arquette winning the title was GENIUS BOOKING. What a better way way to tie in & promote Ready to Rumble. Definitely one of the BEST moments in the history of WCW.
2:57 he lost that lawsuit....2 times
Love your videos man, 1 I was hoping you'll put is was the time Curt Henning and the rap is crap faction busted up Silkk Da Shockers birthday with Master P and the No Limit Soldiers fighting the group while saying "Hoolie Hoo" lol the look on fans faces was priceless.
deaudrey macdonald lol, what's more bizarre than that is the price they paid No Limit for them to be apart of that storyline!! They thought Master P would bring in new viewers... didn't work.
The lowest point for WCW was when Vince Russo wrote in himself as WCW Champion
Dude you're gonna blow up with subs if you keep up this awesome work
I Think it'd be cool if you did your top 10 wcw matches or moments. Keep up the content, brings back great memories
Mannyisdatnigga good idea, might do something like that soon!
Actually, if I heard right, there are two reasons the Fingerpoke OF DOOM!!! match happened the way it did.
First, it had to finish fast because it started late - because WCW figured that, while Nitro viewers would switch to Raw to see Foley win the WWE title, they probably switched back to Nitro right after that match ended - and just in time to see the start of the Hogan-Nash match.
Second, putting the belt on Hogan may have been NBC's idea. The match happened while the NBA was in the middle of a lockout, and NBC asked WCW for a show to air in mid-February on prime time in place of the cancelled NBA All-Star Game. However, NBC felt that more people would be interested if they could advertise Hogan as the champion. (As it turned out, two or three days after the match, the lockout was settled, the NBA season saved, and a new schedule drawn up which included a game NBC would air in the time slot they no longer needed to give to WCW...)
Tony Schiavone said he found The Yeti ridiculous and made himself a joke out of it with the overexcited call
dbgrfdg "the yettay!"
David Arquette winning the World title wasn't Vince Russo's idea. It was pitched by Tony Schiavone.
Either way, Russo was in charge of making the decision to let that happen. Shame on him.
I remember when I tried to get into WCW as a WWF fanboy was right when they did that Chucky segment. Went straight back to WWF and never looked back, lol.
Love your videos
WCW was fucking awesome
Man that halloween havoc was one of 2 ppvs we got to order as a kid and golberg was my favorite , the salt and confusion
We need a part two
And probably a 3 and 4
I'm just envisioning the mountains of cocaine and Somas that were probably even in the candy dish of the guest lobby.
Jay Harper haha!
Sounds like a lobby I want to be in...
OMG so funny looking back on those moments lol Vincent Russo was probably the WORST thing to ever happen to WCW. He was probably paid by Vincent to sink it because that's what he did.
"It's the YET-TAY!"
- Tony Schiavone
I still find it funny how Sting needed Robocop to fend off the Horsemen
Great list, WCW had some real shake your head moments
Good video I'd forgotten that mythical being was involved in an all male threes up with the giant and the Yetaay
Haha! I remember most of these I feel bad it laughing I loved WCW&WWF but no doubt that WCW was on its last leg it just go worse the finger poke of doom it sure was. great vid hope you do another like it maybe on WWE or TNA who have had their own problems lately. keep up the great work NikateeN.
gamer dude thanks a lot! Working on a WWF/WWE version of this video, stay tuned!
ITS FUNNY HOW PEOPLE SAY THAT SOME WERE ATTRACTED TO WCW DUE TO THEM NOT USING CARTOONISH GIMMICKS...
I INSTANTLY THINK OF THAT GUY IN THE SHARK COSTUME...ROBOCOP....GLACIER....ETC.
AND THE YETI
Also Wrath, Mortis, Shark, The Leapercaun, the Entire Dungeon Of Doom.
there were a lot more weird WCW moments but to show them all we will be here for 6 months...
As a kid when I used to see Scott Hall wasted and drunk it used to make me feel sick especially the time when he threw up all over Bishoff
I thought Hall was loaded what a brutally great work
David Arquette, always with the David Arquette. Vince Russo as champ was far worse
Dropkick Lar If it’s bad it’s just bad.
Say hello to the drunk guy.
Nothing is as bizarre as the Katie Vick angle!
Another great video, as always!! THe first one, I had never heard about, that the concert ended up main-eventing that show & freakin tanked the ratings, lol. Hey, any chance you, or a fellow reader/watcher, have any experience with Bryan Alvarez's Death of WCW book? I always wanted to get it, this reminded me of it, but have never pulled the trigger as I feel like we all know the downward spiral and sequence of events that would culminate in the death of WCW. I know your a big WCW fan, you read it or can/would recommend it?
Ryan L. Dude, if you're even a minor WCW fan, READ THAT BOOK! It's absolutely amazing! I have the re-issue which added a lot of content, and read it in less than a week... it's that good! Also, Bischoff's "Controversy Creates Cash" is another much have for WCW fans. There is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that I never knew about in that book.
1:10 Who is wearing the brown hat, Rey Mysterio Young?
WCW did some crazy and outrageous things and many of them flopped, but it was still way more interesting than the formulaic and predictable stuff WWE puts out.
The Fearmoths so true, despite all the crazy crap in WCW, I was a huge fan and miss the promotion terribly to this day.
The OWN faction (all 2 of them). Bish challenging Vince. Bish on a motorcycle declaring the end of the Monday Night Wars.
Weird and hilarious wcw moment = jim Duggen as a janitor 😂
As much as i love watchin WCW bizarre and weird moments but u cant forgot about the WWF, when are u gonna make some video section for them
AkumaRedG working on one just like this for the WWF/WWE.
That 2000 WCW logo does resemble bird shit.
One does not simply say Yeti without sounding like Schiavone.....YETAAAYY!!!
I didn't hate the finger point of doom. I just think it was pointless... pardon the pun. Who exactly were they tricking? Who did they screw over? Even for the good of the group why would Nash give up the biggest prize there is? Isn't that the whole point of wrestling in kayfabe ? You want to be champ.
Yeah, Nash was a complete dumbass for participating in that, & for how he still defends it till this day! Lmao!!
I remember the majority of this especially Rick Steiner feuding with Chucky...
i remember the story from 7:44 , the laughter made me think:"OMG, Doink the clown is coming to get you!" after what happened i was thinking:"i wish it has been Doink indeed.." :((
I don't remember the chucky part. I guess my brain blocked that out.
How about the horrible Sting vs. Vampiro match Spring Stampede 2000) where it is clearly a stunt double that falls from the scaffolding?
That Was The Great American Bash.
I think there was an actual Rick Steiner vs Chucky match. It was a time limit draw.
Dean Ambrose is the new Scott Hall....... they have the same swagger, fa' real.
I loved ready to rumble
Honestly, I truly believe that Steiner wanted to fight Chucky.
I agree with you on everything. But now at days looking back on it I will & always be a WCW fan. & now at days I really miss it & I try to remember some of the entertainment & happiness it brought me in the late 90s before it sunk itself like a shipping ship.
Lonewolf 59 WCW changed wrestling for me, and forced the WWF to become better just to compete. It's sad what happened towards the end, but WCW will always go down as some of my best childhood memories.
What about the constant world title changes every week? I mean, it was bizarre to have a new champion every damn week!
You left out Dustin Runnels' bizarre turn as Seven. But maybe that's a good thing.
The debacle of the "Shock Master" debut.
When Scott Steiner brought a tiger with him down to the ring yes not shitting you a tiger
7:51! lol Three six Mafia "Choice's" came to mind
Worst/most bizarre moment to me is the Sting vs Hogan Starrcade match. They did such a good job of building that match up for so long. They should've just given the fans what they wanted: a legit Sting victory.
Instead, the company tried to be too creative by having a ref cheat for Hogan...only for the ref to screw up and not actually have a fast count. That made Sting's victory seem so cheap. Such a dud.
I liked the early years with the Steiners but Why did Rick wanna fight Chucky... didn't he know Chucky would've Killed Him lol
Galen Marek lol!
I got to see the ddp vs Goldberg I didn't know what ppl were talking bout the next day lol
AND THE YETAAAAYYYY!!!!
I remember watching that live when Scott Hall walked around the ring and then puked. So bizarre and confused the hell out of my younger teenage self.
bopper119 yea, at the time I knew Hall had problems, and at 13 years old I couldn't tell if it was a work or shoot.
1999 was WCW's worst year.
