- Wresting gimmicks can make or break a wrestler. They can also ruin a wrestler's career, but on rare occasion a wrestler can actually bounce back from a bad gimmick. These are some wrestlers that have done just that.

The Godfather is a good example.
He was Papa Shango, who was voted as the "Worst Gimmick" at theWrestling Observer Newsletter awards for 1992.
He then worked some years the Gimmick Kama Mustafa until he found a fitting and succesfull Gimmick as the Godfather
Christian Vogt in The Godfather was awesome that shit had me cracking up on a weekly basis
Don't forget the Goodfather in there as well.

How about Rikishi/Fatu? After the demise of The Headshrinkers, he went from street Fatu to the Sultan, luckily he bounced back as Rikishi in 1999 and went on to have great success

Back in the day, the very first time I saw Kane walk to the ring ("thats.. that's gotta be KANE!") I knew he was Issac Yankem. I knew nothing of Glen Jacobs at that point, but the way he walks (walked) to the ring was instantly recognizable... no matter what kind of costume he was wearing.
Then, he got in the ring... and his movements and (most if his) maneuvering was also the same as Issac Yankem!
Edit: Bob Holly actually is a nice dude... he just takes wrestling incredibly seriously.
Oh yeah... and Johnny B. Bad turning into Marc Mero.

Dj Bootleg they didnt have a choice but to drop it. tnt wanted wrestling of there station. that why Eric Bischoff didnt buy wcw, he had a team and the funds out together and offered around 40 million for the company. turner broadcasting companyor aol time warner excepted but told them they would have no t.v. time slot. pretty much making wcw worthless. without tv a wrestling company isnt worth a dollar. machi man also out in a bid to buy wcw to. but what you said is a great idea and they said at first they wanted to keep the company running but when tv got yanked from them there wasnt really any options. sucks to because now we only have 1 big wrestling company and they suck.

I liked just for the first person. That gimmick was super weird to see after WCW but that theme is legendary.

The change from Husky Harris to Bray Wyatt seemed to work.
I hated the fake diesel and razor but always was impressed by how accurately kane wrested like diesel...fake razor blew!

While Ziggler has had some great success since breaking away from the spirit squad, I think his goofy name/gimmick is still slightly holding him back from being taken seriously on a longterm basis. Totally agree with including him on the list, though.

Here are some you missed. Jim Neidhart was given the name "Who" just so people could make "Who's on First?" jokes. Goldust was given the gimmick of "Seven," who was basically a pedophile Uncle Fester. Last and definitely least is Typhoon, who was the infamous "Shockmaster."
