Wrestling is known for recycling ideas, but what about wrestling themes? Oh yea, they did that too... Today we take a look at themes that were used later elsewhere.
+NikateeN don't forget twice WWE used AJ Styles TNA theme Evil Ways for promos the 1st promo for Undertaker vs CM Punk at WM29 and at Fastlane 2016 For The Wyatt Family vs Big Show,Kane and Ryback
Holy fucking shit!!! I *can't believe* someone else has noticed that Hardcore Holly's entrance theme has been in a lot of ads and TV bumpers!!! I remember noticing the Hardy's theme in stuff too. That's crazy!
They even used the Hardy's theme in german afternoon shows that usually only housewifes watch. Also there is a low-class football club called Rot-Weiß Oberhausen who uses (or at least used) HHH's "Time to Play the Game" during the Player entrance. I popped bigtime for that since I'm a huge Trips-Fan and had no idea they do this.
Michelle McCool's theme "Not Enough for Me" originally was for Torrie Wilson. It was dropped from Torrie when she went back to being a face and Michelle picked up the theme. Alicia Fox's current theme "Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa-Party" used to be Maria Kanellis' theme. Speaking of Maria, her theme "With Legs Like That" was originally intended for Stacy Keibler, but she never returned to WWE. Kelly Kelly's theme "Holla" was originally intended for Candice Michelle and is even listed as Candice's theme on the WWE Wreckless Intent album.
It's worth noting that when Bart Gunn won the Brawl for All they gave him that theme for at least one match, as in to say: "here, you won this crap shoot fest, now get this song"
Just like Devari, Dabrah, Sable, early Stephenie McMahon and even Melina just to name a few Teddy Long has Managed a wrestler and took his theme music after that
I heard Jeff Hardy theme song on one of those history channel shows where they fix old stuff. They were doing like a montage on presenting something and it had his theme blasting in the background.
Dude I love your videos! I cant believe your not more known in the Wrestling community. Definitely much better then WhatCulture. Keep up the great work!
This also counts for wrestlers who were once part of a tag team but only one or two of its former members keep the same music after splitting up. For example : Roman Reigns' music was the Shield's theme, Vince McMahon's music is The Corporation theme song that came from the 1999 Royal Rumble pay per view. The Rock's music was originally The Nation Of Domination's theme and Eddie Guerrero's music was used by himself after leaving Chyna and Chavo Guerrero, both "Latino Heat" and "Lie Cheat and Steal".
As far as the Corporation music, it is cool to here the instrumental version that was played in the opening of No Chance in Hell. Also, Vince came out to No Chance in Hell the first time ever in the Sunday Night Heat before the 99 Royal Rumble.
Man this is a great vid. I've noticed recycled themes, mostly in WCW. I think they literally had a few generic ones, but this is great there is a few I had no clue of. The Cesaro/Malenko one is crazy.
The Brawl For All theme was actually recycled twice: once for Ezekiel Jackson like you mentioned, but several years before, it was used as the XFL theme. Anyway, love the channel and I wish you had more subscribers because more people need to know about it.
Well some historians know that "Pomp and Circumstance" was originally Gorgeous George Wagner's .But one obscure one is a WCW Track called "Satans Sister" which if you were a pre-Bischoff WCW Fan was the theme song of The Hollywood Blonds(Austin/Pillman)but a year after they broke up they used it for Greg Valentine. And most recently The Tune with the Chorus "Youre not enough for me ,just another man I. Love with me" was originally Torrie Wilson's before it became famous as Lay-Cools theme
Phineas Godwin/Midean used "Dusty Rhodes old "American Dream" theme. Chris Benoit's WCW theme was also used in a Pamlea Anderson Playboy video. Some songs are public domain. Ricky Steamboat's early WCW theme has been used a lot on TV show's and all you youngsters are unaware that Ric Flair's theme form the film "2001:A Space Odyssey" was also used by Elvis Presley for many years at the start of his concerts.
... I do not believe you. I have no choice now but to find this Pamela Anderson playboy video and watch it several times. You know, JUST to make sure you are not lying. .. 😊
I STILL hear the Hardy Boyz theme everywhere, shit, i've heard it thousands of times on Counting Cars on History, and Pawn Stars, I've often wondered if it was just random stock music that WWE just found one time and was like "Here you go" because its in a lot of non wrestling related things for some strange reason...What are your thoughts?
I've had "rise to the occasion, do somethin amazing" bar from big zekes entrance theme stuck in my head for 10 years and thanks to this video I can finally end my suffering.
Heard the Hardy's theme on an episode of Pawn Stars and Umaga's theme on South Beach Tow AJ's theme was used for CM Punk vs and Undertaker promo package and recently AJ's theme from TNA Evil Ways was recently used, something with Bray Wyatt.
Tony Atlas theme from saba simba days was reused for tito santana theme, big john studd's theme was reused for hacksaw jim duggan also king haku's theme has been reused by other wwe superstars over the years like jerry lawler
Fun fact: When Cesaro was in WWE's developmental system, Florida Championship Wrestling (now NXT), the actual Dean Malenko theme was used as Cesaro's entrance music. Also, Cesaro stated in an interview with ESPN that he's a big fan of James Bond, and it just so happens that Dean Malenko's theme was inspired in part by the the title tack from the James Bond film, "Goldfinger." So that's probably why that track was used for Cesaro.
The first ever theme from Big Show was the theme from the PPV St Valentines day Massacre in I guess 1999 and then it was years later used by Luke Gallows theme called "Massacre".
@NikateeN you forgot one major song! Remember when Rikishi first came to the WWE his song back then was used for the Valentine's Day Massacre theme song. Also Big Show used it as a theme when he was known as Paul Wright. Then later Luke Gallows used the same song when he was with the Straight Edge Society!
Paul Wight's theme was used as the theme to the Bad Blood PPV (or the other way around, correct me if I'm wrong), then later used as Luke Gallows's theme during the SES storyline
Couple of WCW ones for you: WCW used the theme tune from Clash of Champions X: Texas Shootout (1990) as Hector Garza's theme in the mid-90's. At Halloween Havoc '91, The Creatures came out to the theme tune made famous later on by Psychosis.
I used to hear Hardcore Holly's first entrance theme everywhere to, like on radio talk shows and commercials. I also remember The Hardy Boyz theme being used on a Cartoon Network commercial. When they did radio announcements in my town, they used Bret Hart's theme and Randy Orton's very first WWE theme as background music.
Big Show during the first two months in the WWF used a modified version of the St Valentines Day Massacre theme, it was then later used by the late Nicole Bass at Over the Edge 1999 and was used for Luke Gallows a decade later.
there's that "Gasoline Upcharge" theme WWE used it many years ago on DVD's and stuff then gave it to Lucky Cannon on FCW then gave it to Derrick Bateman (EC3) later on NXT, Candice Michelle's theme was given to Justin Gabriel. also Alicia Fox's current theme used to be Maria's theme.
Just recently in Australia our pay TV network Foxtel had ad's that used the CWC preview music for the upcoming week's show that would air during RAW and SD and the network
WWF St. Valentine's Massacre 1999 Theme -> 1st Big Show theme (Paul Wight) -> Nicole Bass theme -> WWF Rebellion PPV theme -> Luke Gallows theme (2010)
There are some that i remember 1999 St valentine day massacre's theme was used in Rebellion (different version) and it was the 1st wwe theme of Luke Gallows as well (with the lyrics reversed) From WCW, The LWO (Latino World Order)'s theme was used for Chavo Guerrero since 2002 in WWE.
Hey, I remember that once of big show's first theme songs, was actually used again for luke gallows just after he broke got out from the straight edge society
Lex Luger's last WCW theme, the one we all know, is also used as radio bumper music. Hear it all the time when they're reading spots during Boomer and Carton.
I think Orton switching from This Fire Burns to the one after that went well with his slower paced entrance to the ring and the harder heavier This Fire Burns worked for Punks character and plus that's the kind of music Punk likes
Jack Swaggers first theme song was also Jamie Nobles first WWE theme song and Swaggers second theme song was one of Lance Cade's themes without the lyrics. Chavo Guerrero's first WWE theme song was Eddie Guerrero's WCW theme. Stevie Richards WWE theme was a top off of Kronik's WCW theme, Johnny Nitro's first theme was WCW Nitro's theme, and I've heard one of Chris Benoit's WCW theme in some porno's and even Classic NBA videos
The most reused theme in WWF/E is Jim Johnstons - Massacre used for: WWF St. Valentines Day Massacre IYH, Paul Wight, Festus/Luke Gallows and probably many more. The most reused theme in WCW was perhaps "Satan's Sister" a them used for The Hollywood Blondes, Marty Jannetty, sometimes play as background music at events and used for several jobbers
Orlando Jordan used a modified version of The Kat's theme. Darren Young and Tyler Reks had the same theme at the same time, but Reks' didn't have lyrics. When Too Cool was heel they used Kama Mustafa's theme. Santina Marella using the theme used by Billy & Chuck, and Rico. Steven Richards used Kronik's WWE theme after they were released. Around the time Undertaker turned heel in 2001 there was some specific music used during one of the replays. That music was later used for Mike Knox's theme. I believe Jack Swagger once had a theme previously used by Jamie Noble. Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool have shared themes before.
Yeah, most times when you hear those types of themes used in commercials and stuff, it's probably because WWE licenced the music out to be sold for commercial use or to be royalty free. I know i some cases, the theme was Royalty free. Goldbergs theme was royalty free. I looked into it some time ago when i heard the Hardy's theme during a car chase on one of those Spike TV Cop shows, back in 2006 or so.
8:16 I really like the Brawl for All/Ezekiel Jackson themes Just sounds like "Domination" like we're about to see someone get their ass kicked which is a perfect wrestling theme. It really fit Jackson, he looked like a force to be reckoned with. Had the most devastating turnbuckle clotheslines. As for the Brawl for all, well shoot, also fits so well.
Hulk Hogan's theme "Real American" was originally used by The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) while Hulk Hogan used the theme from Rocky 3 "Eye of the Tiger"
I heard Yoshi Tatsu's theme in a McDonald's happy meal commercial once.
I saw that commercial lmao I thought I was the only one
David Harding I once heard Yoshi Tatsu's theme in a commercial about a Japanese video game
David Harding cause it's actually stock music
Justin White yeahhh wtf I remember that
"Somebody call my momma" was also God's theme 👍
8MJfan8 haha yup!
NikateeN when big show was under the name of paul wight he used a song called massacre which was re hashed as luke gallows' theme in the ses
+J Darks also the theme to the st. valentines day massacre
@@jdarker7138 the reversed it for Gallows

John T. Campbell RIGHT!? I remember hearing the Hardys theme in the tv show "disorderly conduct" on Spike
I've also heard both of Lita's themes use in commercials etc.
Banana Revenge Spike TV ads for Holly
John T. Campbell its stock music
Kelly Kelly's theme "Holla" was originally intended for Candice Michelle and is even listed as Candice's theme on the WWE Wreckless Intent album.
darkwarrior3007 Right!! I was trying to figure out who used the theme first. Thanks!!
I heard the Hardy Boys Theme on Top Gear once.
some guy in an ambulance/Savage318 And I Also Heard The Hardy Boyz And Goldberg’s Theme Song On Some History Channel Shows

linda mcmahon uses the wrestlemania 93 album song.
LOL
Big D ha
Big D ohh ohhh wrestlemania? That song?
lol yeah. but just the instrumental version.
Top Gear uses a lot of WWE themes
Steve Blackman's first theme was used first as the theme song for the Bad Blood 1997 PPV
@Gary Busey Me too. That song is totally metal!
/
The funny thing about Cesaro and Malenko is that they also gave Cesaro the Bond entrance haha.
That's Vince for ya.
Jamal Washington I wish they Cesaro used it
Jamal Washington and that theme is a rip off of the Bond song License to Kill
The Orient Expresses theme tune being used for pretty much every single Asian wrestler is another, trust Vince to keep up with the Xenophobia :D
Larry Bundy Jr Hey I Love Your Content
Lol you just pop up everywhere.
I remember that on a commercial on Disney XD they used Mike Knox's theme, which was pretty weird
They did?? which one
+Bestgame Commercial or song?
+manuel flores commercial
+Bestgame i can't remember exactly which one, but it was used here on latin america
I heard Yoshi Tatsu theme in a Happy Meal commercial
If you watch The Rock's "This is Your Life" from the Attitude Era, some of the guests come out to Lex Luger's themes
It's worth noting that when Bart Gunn won the Brawl for All they gave him that theme for at least one match, as in to say: "here, you won this crap shoot fest, now get this song"
"This Fire Burns" might be my favorite entrance theme of all-time.
Teddy Long's theme was originally made for Rodney Mack
It's beat is also the WrestleMania theme "California".
You know it's the Mack militant
Just like Devari, Dabrah, Sable, early Stephenie McMahon and even Melina just to name a few Teddy Long has Managed a wrestler and took his theme music after that
Big Show 1st theme song Massacre was reused later for Luke Gallows single theme
Zac M.A it was also used for Nicole bass before the big show entered the WWE 😋
One of Cesaro's old themes is used in ScrewAttacks Death Battle
Fandango's theme was everywhere when he was for that one month
This Fire Burns is still one of my favorite themes of all time
I heard Rikishi's face theme on one of those VH1 countdown shows, and his heel theme in a deodorant commercial.
I believe Hogan's "Real American" was originally used by Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo, then known as the "American Express".
They were the U.S. Express, but you're right about "Real American" originally being used for them.
True. But while it was originally for them, it was used only once or twice before they left for WCW and it was given to Hogan....
I heard Jeff Hardy theme song on one of those history channel shows where they fix old stuff. They were doing like a montage on presenting something and it had his theme blasting in the background.
I feel an honorable mention to Tazz's theme is deserved. The Shield/Roman Reigns' theme is far too similar to be an accident.
Love Ezekiel's theme.
Heath Harrison me too it was dope!
the killswitch engage song, suits punk more than cult of personality.
snake No, it didn't
snake it depends on which type of CM Punk
agreed. cult of personality is an awesome song, I just never saw it as Punk's theme.
The usos first theme is also royalty free music. I remember hearing it on an episode of runs house
Dude I love your videos! I cant believe your not more known in the Wrestling community. Definitely much better then WhatCulture. Keep up the great work!

The Rock's music was originally The Nation Of Domination's theme and Eddie Guerrero's music was used by himself after leaving Chyna and Chavo Guerrero, both "Latino Heat" and "Lie Cheat and Steal".
u forgot edge 1st song is the same as edge and christian
As far as the Corporation music, it is cool to here the instrumental version that was played in the opening of No Chance in Hell. Also, Vince came out to No Chance in Hell the first time ever in the Sunday Night Heat before the 99 Royal Rumble.
I love your channel!

Man this is a great vid. I've noticed recycled themes, mostly in WCW. I think they literally had a few generic ones, but this is great there is a few I had no clue of. The Cesaro/Malenko one is crazy.
I'd say the unholy alliance's theme was recycled and reworked and became Sting's theme in 2015.
The Brawl For All theme was actually recycled twice: once for Ezekiel Jackson like you mentioned, but several years before, it was used as the XFL theme. Anyway, love the channel and I wish you had more subscribers because more people need to know about it.
Cesaro...I did not know that.
I heard the original Hardy Boys theme used on porn channel TelevisionX
I heard the Hardy Boyz theme song(Loaded by Zack Tempest), on a bunch of TV shows. Never in a porn, though.
Jamy McTaylor *Facts*
The Brawl For All theme was also used as the main music for the XFL.
Ultimo Dragon's theme is currently used by Ricky Steamboat
I always loved X-Pac's theme.
Rick Martel's "Model" theme was later remixed for Val Venis.
Love your videos, you deserve a lot more subscribers.
Donald Trump's theme was "Money" the same song they always use on the MITB PPV
You know, JUST to make sure you are not lying. .. 😊
Dude, that piece of music was composed in 1896 by Richard Strauss, long before "2001: ASO" was made into a movie.
You must be old like me LOL
I STILL hear the Hardy Boyz theme everywhere, shit, i've heard it thousands of times on Counting Cars on History, and Pawn Stars, I've often wondered if it was just random stock music that WWE just found one time and was like "Here you go" because its in a lot of non wrestling related things for some strange reason...What are your thoughts?
Josh Wizinsky Yeah Even Goldberg’s Theme Song Is In The Public Domain As Well As The Hardy Boyz Theme Song
It didn't occur to me at the time, but I later learned that the 96 Bash at the Beach theme is a rip off of Crazy by Seal.
Woah that Ezekiel Jackson one blew my mind I used to love his theme
It is nice to see someone bring some of these thing to light. Like like Brodus clay using the Cats theme.

Fun fact: When Cesaro was in WWE's developmental system, Florida Championship Wrestling (now NXT), the actual Dean Malenko theme was used as Cesaro's entrance music. Paul Wight's theme was used as the theme to the Bad Blood PPV (or the other way around, correct me if I'm wrong), then later used as Luke Gallows's theme during the SES storyline
Now since hearing Iron Mike Tyson's modified DX intro... I'm playing WWF Attitude PSX
Orton once used CM Punk's theme? My mind is blown like a land mine!
Couple of WCW ones for you: WCW used the theme tune from Clash of Champions X: Texas Shootout (1990) as Hector Garza's theme in the mid-90's. At Halloween Havoc '91, The Creatures came out to the theme tune made famous later on by Psychosis.

Just recently in Australia our pay TV network Foxtel had ad's that used the CWC preview music for the upcoming week's show that would air during RAW and SD and the network
I'm glad you didn't add the 2 different versions of Sexy boy Shawn Michaels theme.
The Hardy Boyz theme is practically a public domain song. That theme was on porn movies, tv shows and i heard it in a mexican adult cartoon
WWF St. Valentine's Massacre 1999 Theme -> 1st Big Show theme (Paul Wight) -> Nicole Bass theme -> WWF Rebellion PPV theme -> Luke Gallows theme (2010)
There are some that i remember
1999 St valentine day massacre's theme was used in Rebellion (different version) and it was the 1st wwe theme of Luke Gallows as well (with the lyrics reversed)
From WCW, The LWO (Latino World Order)'s theme was used for Chavo Guerrero since 2002 in WWE.

Another good one, in an episode of Kids In The Hall they used Booker T's theme
Lex Luger's last WCW theme, the one we all know, is also used as radio bumper music. Hear it all the time when they're reading spots during Boomer and Carton.
a radio station near my area called weei which is the Boston Red Sox radio station uses a variation of the dx theme song
I think Orton switching from This Fire Burns to the one after that went well with his slower paced entrance to the ring and the harder heavier This Fire Burns worked for Punks character and plus that's the kind of music Punk likes
Jack Swaggers first theme song was also Jamie Nobles first WWE theme song and Swaggers second theme song was one of Lance Cade's themes without the lyrics. good vid. one of my favorite topics
I wish they would have reused Ahmed Johnson's theme. I dig that one so much.
I agree. It was first Jake the Snake Roberts, then the Hollywood Blondes. However, by 1996, it wasa jobber theme.
Cesaro even got the 007 entrance 😂
Quality is amazing.
I believe Jack Swagger once had a theme previously used by Jamie Noble. Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool have shared themes before.
Also Brian Christopher used Kama's theme before joining Too Cool circa 1998 When has was part of Too Much alongside Scotty 2 Hotty.
Yeah, most times when you hear those types of themes used in commercials and stuff, it's probably because WWE licenced the music out to be sold for commercial use or to be royalty free. I looked into it some time ago when i heard the Hardy's theme during a car chase on one of those Spike TV Cop shows, back in 2006 or so.
Darren D. MacDonald Goldberg's theme was stock music that pretty much anyone could use
Tyler Reks had a theme song which was used by Darren Young before him, they just cut out one of the synths which made the guitars stand out more
8:16 I really like the Brawl for All/Ezekiel Jackson themes
Just sounds like "Domination" like we're about to see someone get their ass kicked which is a perfect wrestling theme. It really fit Jackson, he looked like a force to be reckoned with. Had the most devastating turnbuckle clotheslines. As for the Brawl for all, well shoot, also fits so well.
I heard Goldberg's theme used in a episode of Walker Texas Ranger. Walker was in a hand to hand combat fight and Goldberg's theme was playing.
Not sure if this counts since it was in a game, but they used Dan Severn's Theme for Dr. Death Steve Williams in WWF Attitude.
I remember hearing the hardy Boyz theme in nickelodeon or nicktoons network for their thumb wrestling commercials in the background.
There is a local sport show show by me called The Big Show with Al Michaels and he uses the Shows original theme as his intro and throughout....
This is super cool, but it just makes me feel old :(
Hulk Hogan's theme "Real American" was originally used by The U.S. Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) while Hulk Hogan used the theme from Rocky 3 "Eye of the Tiger"
The Brawl For All theme was also used as the XFL's theme.
I've also heard Trent Baretta's theme in a kids commercial
David Otunga's theme "Power" was used briefly by Justin Gabriel
You can also include the marc mero theme. I perfectly remember it being used on motocross mania ps1 game
One you missed was 1997 bad blood theme went to Steve Blackmans entrance music when. He debuted
Some other wretsler that I can't remember their name who wore a cowboy hat also used Ezekiel's Theme I believe during The 90s.
