I have the Nikon Z 6 Working at night in TV News. I have always used manual .Except for the ISO. I keep that at auto because how much the light changes at different scenes . I just ordered my Z6 III I should have it tomorrow So I will be shooting with it this weekend . I Use auto white at nigh.t I don't have time to keep changing back and fourth when shooting news at night .
Very very informative video! One question. When you switch from photo to video mode, you need to reset to new settings (iso, aperature, shutter speed) for video again. What if I save my favorate photo setting to U1 and save my favorate video setting to U1. I set U1 when i take pictures and when I switch to video mode, then, I do not need to reset to video setting. Do you think this works?
My z6iii makes a lot of noise even at 800 iso prores hq exposing correctly with external monitor and false color! It is crazy that a 3000€ camera makes so much noise!
I noticed that too, it usually happens when I'm shooting N-RAW over N-RAW colors, H.265 10 bits on SDR doesn't seem to generate as much noise. I would honestly only use N-RAW if you have a paid software with really good noise reduction, the free version of Davinci resolve (what I use) is definitely not enough.
I’m a Nikon Zf owner, but this was very helpful! Thank you!
cheers!
