Thanks for sharing your experiences. I had the same issue with the viewfinder sensor on my Z6III. It appears only occasiponally but with my other Nikon cameras (Z6 and Z6II) I've never had that issue. First I thought the sensitivity of the sensor might be set wrong, because the rear screen didn't turn on when it was supposed to turn on. And there was no way to turn it on, other than with the dedicated button on the viewfinder to select the viewfinder mode. So it might be a problem with some more units that are arround.
@@TerenceSzeto Untill now I wasn't sure if I'm the only one who experienced this :) I'll will report it to the NPS -Service Germany on the next occasion. They might not be able to help me, but at least they might forward it to japan. Greetings
Hi Terence I'm glad to have stumbled upon this review. It seems as our photographic interests are similar. I also love travelling to remote places and shoot wildlife (although I only do photographic content, no video). I'm currently thinking about upgrading my Z6II. It has been my companion in 5 different continents and I've always been happy with it. However, I now have the option to trade it in for either a Z6III or a Z8, and I'm doubting. In the end of your video, you mention you'd pick Z8 over Z6iii for photos. Could you please elaborate a bit further? I'm particularly doubting the larger files sizes, the battery life (I suppose Z8 using the same batteries as Z6ii/iii has shorter battery life?) and - of course - price.
I'd say the higher resolution of the z8 offers the flexibility of choice for heavy cropping if needed (which is always a plus for photographers, if you're willing to compromise for larger storage), and also the better autofocus performance of the z8 is noticeable as well. There's faster burst rates in the z8 too (if you need that).
Very nice review on the camera. It's not the pixels but the work of the photographer and the lenses you use, to capture the images we want. For myself at the moment I'm using the Panasonic g9 and about to upgrade to the G9 mark ii. Prefer the lightweight body and lenses.
Nikon z7 -6 ll when turned on remove the battery then the shutter will close and you can remove the lens in the field Maybe this can happen on the Z6lll too
I have the same issue with the eye sensor not allowing automatic switching between evf and rear screen and it's really annoying. In my testing, it almost seems like the rubber eyepiece extends a bit too far out, as i was able to get thesensor to respond properly if i lifted the rubber upwards just slightly .
I have ran into eye sensor problems when wearing reflective e clothing (neon green and orange). I can’t confirm if this happens with the z6 iii but it has been a problem with my zf.
Hey! I just had my 5 mo old Z6iii start having intermittent issues with the auto switch between monitor and viewfinder! I was getting ready to send it back for repair and it started working again. Very concerning.
Nice review ❤ I want to upgrade from d750 to mirrorless as hobbist how much u recommend z6ii for all type specialy family in home low light, birds wild life. What about noise in raw compared to z6iii or z8 in low light or room light.
Z6II is definitely a big upgrade from the D750. I think if you just want to shoot general things, Z6II is very good at that, no need for Z6III. Z6II is also excellent in low light like the Z6III. You will find noise higher in Z8 compared to Z6II or Z6III.
Good much better than the Z6II , Disappointing is that Nikon are charging too much. It is still expensive every where outside USA. EG: It is still $4500 AUD in Australia for Australian stock just a bonkers price.
@@kamerafi Yes seems like Nikon just makes up prices depending on where you live and volumes . So smaller markets like Australia get the worst prices while bigger markets as you say Singapore and USA get the best prices . Nikon is price gouged in the Australian market. There is no way Z6III is worth $4500aud or when converted to USD 3900USD its a slap in the face from Nikon .Anybody who bought at those prices is puzzling nobody should have to pay those prices .
The Australian prices probably have something to do with import fees and tariffs. $2500 is reasonable for such a capable camera. If you wait a while, the price will drop by $500.
33mp vs 24mp is not as big as it seems, its only like +10% more, hardly worth it. plus fewer mp can lead to better low-light. also, what is this about video DR, cant it shoot internal raw video? just use that if you need high DR, lol.
@@WizardOfCheese probably true about the megapixel count. Actually i was referring to the photo DR - other videos showed the other nikon FF cameras had better DR at lower ISOs, even the older ones
Hi Tetence, I plan to buy z6iii on Black Friday and now I am concerned about evf issue which you experienced. I saw another youtube who had the same issue with you.🧐 ruclips.net/video/QMXZuXjuX1Y/видео.html
Hi, yes I had known that it was dust causing the issue but when I used a lens blower (in Kenya), it would work for a few minutes then default back to being not functional. No issues with my second camera, the Z6II. All the problems went away once I left the dusty environments of Kenya. It appears the Z6III is alot more sensitive to dust.
I want it for taking photos of my kids, so a wildlife is pretty much spot on.
Best comment ever 😂😂

Lol bro.. your funny 😂

Your samsung ultra or iphone pro max looking at you like, "bro whaat?"😂😂
For the eye sensor...just remove eyecup...sometimes rubber part on eyecup is a little loose, and it confuses sensor... :)

@@TerenceSzeto This is not written anywhere. I found out by accident when I removed the battery from the camera while it was on.
Shutter should not be used as sensor guard. Don't do that. Cleaning the sensor is easy.

yeah, you can see from the comments section that you and i are not the only ones - it is indeed concerning
The sensor itself could be dirty or the rubber on the eyepiece could be drooping in front of the sensor.
