Thanks for Video . I would like to buy new camera, but confused between Nikon Z6 iii & Lumix S5iix . My use of camera is documentary , social media ,video, wedding . I like both camera but looking into codec i doubts over nikon since even output of h265 4.2.0 is hugh compare to lumix . if i go with nikon nlog or prores then my Pc will not handle. Also Nikon has third party lens like cheap viltrox however with lumix will stuck with panasonic & sigma. what u suggest.?
Only you can decide which one is right for you. Both great cameras. You don't need to film in the highest possible setting every time. There is also a lot of manual lenses available for Lumix system. You need to do your research and choose one which is right for you (or buy both)
@@PavSZ I guess it depends what sort of department you’re in to. They have dominated the telephoto market. The cool thing about the Z system is that you can put any Sony mount lens on it and not have any FPS limit put on it or anything.
I don't get the extra brightness of the viewfinder. I want mine to display the photo at the correct brightness / exposure so why would I want it extra bright. Obviously I am missing something but what. Looks another great camera from Nikon and pleased it has the flip out screen meaning I will never want one :) I hate those things.
you are missing the point. it is NOT extra bright. It shows the image exactly as you'd see it on the good computer monitor. I've never seen EVF looking this good before. 9 out of 10 cameras coming out today have a flip out screen
@@PavSZ pro cameras including z8 z9 A9iii A7Rv all have a better rear screen design with their more basic models having the cheaper flip out screen. Im sure Sonys A1II will also have the new screen design. This leaves only canon using the simpler more basic flip out type for their to cameras.
@@PavSZ But you and other reviewers are commenting on how bright it is. I was purely asking you to explain. As for flip out screens canon seems to be the only maker that uses them for all models including their top of the range. It will be interesting to see if Sony sticks to one on the A7v or if they give it the same one as the A9iii/a7RV
Nice overview, Pav. It’s great to see you review a Nikon Z camera. How did you find the IBIS on the Z6iii compared to the S5ii in stills mode? BTW, I really like the vertical display of screen information in portrait mode. I just wished the camera had the multi-way LCD screen found on the Sony A7RV. I would’ve even settled for the four-way flip screen of the Z8.
I had for a while the Z8 and was amazed at the IBIS compared to Sony. I got sharp images at 35mm and 1/2 second yes half a second. Shame the AF for me, was not as good as Sony so I sold it and got the A1. For me a better camera than the Z8 but not when is come to IBIS.
Lumix IBIS is in a different league. This is is good, standard but not as good overall. Very comparable to Sony right now. Z6III is a mid range camera, it has a flip out screen like all mid range cameras. I don't know why so many people keep comparing it to Z8 or a7RV. It is a camera in a different class and in a different price range.

My name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, do you love to have a logo redesign for your channel's branding to have a more memorable graphic based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and follow your channel easier? I would love to design a photography themed logo inspired by your direction for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! :-)
The one thing that kind of irritates me with mine is not recording video to both cards simultaneously...that's annoying. But love the camera otherwise.
it is a personal choice and I feel that a lot of people need to complain about something and screen is one of those things. There was a lot of people unhappy with Z6 when it had no flip out screen at all. It is NOT a game changer or deal breaker. In this class of camera and in this price range it is standard these days. If you really need a tilt screen, you pay more for higher models. If this is what you can afford, you make it work. You get used to it. It does not make a camera worse or unusable
@@PavSZ Tony Northrop did a review comparing the z6iii to the Sony a7IV and Canon R6 mark ii and Nikon was far less accurate in autofocus and 1 full stop less in dynamic range.
only a problem for very few people. I work professionally and I always record externally to Ninja V, never needed dual card video recording (or card recording)
1, I know luxury wedding filmmakers who use a red. 2, a CFe uses the same technologies an NVMe SSD uses so the failure rate is minimal if you’re using a reputable brand. 3, what did we ever do before dual card slots? Influencers and marketers are who convinced you it’s a must. Your phone doesn’t have redundancy and uses cheaper storage than most CFe cards and how many of those have storage failing??
awesome video man!
thank you!

cool video quality I wonder which camera you used to record this video?
I've used Lumix S5IIx and Sony a7sIII
Mi-a placut clipul tau ! Iubesc Nikon. Voi cumpara z6iii dar acum e prea scump pentru mine ! 😍😍😍👍
sorry but I only speak English and Polish
A serious contender. The Nikkor glass alone should have Canon users considering a switch to Nikon.
It is a really good camera.
Canon has some good cameras and lenses too. I'm just starting to use some Canons and I'm really impressed

just go to menu and adjust what you WANT for brightness.

What about the dynamic range?? Is there noise when shadows recover?
@@princess544 I honestly think that’s been an over blown issue. I filmed an entire video on my channel at night and it was perfectly fine. 🤷🏻♂️📸😎
yes a problem for some. I, personally, never needed that functionality
not really a problem. This is waaaaay better than most of cameras on the market right now.
Not a real world usage problem for sure
Flip-out screen is a big deal breaker for me, and I'll say it whenever a new prosumer camera comes out with it.
In what way is it a deal breaker for you ? Buy it or no?

Yeah I agree !! but other improvements are much better than my Z6
The Z6iii has the same dynamic range as a crop sensor camera in a full frame body, hard pass for me.
do you know that from experience?
I haven't noticed the lack of dynamic range using it
