Sony is pretty stable if you use digital stab with IBIS. But the price, weight, and what, you loose one stop of DR between ISO 50 - 1200 and from 1200 to 12800 you loose half a stop. Which is definitely laughable for the price you pay.
The 4K 120 in the a6700/FX30 is super noisy and really needs to be over-exposed by two stops and having really slow super zooms would make it difficult to not have ISOs up in the thousands
To be fair you're losing 5x the light when using 120fps. Even when going from the first base iso two the second, you're still 1 full stop short on the fx30
I don't think it's as bad as the Fuji Kasey had. That was ROUGH. I have an A7S3 and FX30, hands down the A7S3 is RIDICULOUS for 4k120, not much can touch it. The FX30 is noisier overall I find, but I still love it. Seeing as how I do have the big brother though, when I want 4k120 or even HD 240, I use the A7S3.
@@snaprifice Yeah, I think the 4K120 from the FX30 can be great. I was just responding to the commenter in the video specifically asking about it as a wildlife kit. Not much can touch the A7S3 and FX3 for clean slowmo video with AF. Slow zooms? The only way you can get a fast tele is a 10k plus prime lens, otherwise vast majority of tele zooms are slow.

I have a Sony A7SIII and FX30, I've been converting from SLog3 to Black Magic Video gamma's and gamut's and I've been pretty happy with the results doing that. OK, I will get serious in the comments section of Camera Conspiracies channel (I apologize for my inappropriate behavior) but here we go - I do like buying different camera brands and models to compare. (A bit what Kasey is doing, but not so intensely). I'm convinced, that for video one should not buy Nikon, Olympus or Fuji. The brands that make best cameras for video are Panasonic, Sony and to some extend Canon. (Now, obviously, I do not talk about high-end cinema cameras here). These three brands (Nikon, Oly and Fuji) feel somehow "photography oriented" if that makes sense. Of course, one can record gorgeous video with pretty much any late model camera. The end result is entirely dependent on the skills and effort of the user, not that much on the camera used. That's not the point. My theory is, that with these brands, the way video is implemented - feature, ease of use etc. - feels like an afterthought. And just to add, that I say that as a proud owner of a Nikon system (Z6 II and 4 lenses), so if I was a brainless fanboy I would praise my own brand and choice.

I was watching a R5ii wildlife video and he was shooting a Magnificent riflebird dancing. Wish we had those around here… really cool. Not that you asked….
okay mr know-it-all here but when you said that with the apsc a6700 you get an equivalent focal length of 166-830mm which is correct, but then you also multiplied the aperture with the crop factor which is not correct. when you add an optical teleconverter it will give a smaller effective aperture, e.g 9 instead of 6.3 with a 1.4x, which affects light gathering and toneh, but while the crop of a smaller sensor n and digital crop will effectively change the focal length, it will not change the toneh and light gathering. the reason you get less toneh on a crop sensor is that you have to back up to fit the same subject in the frame, you have to be further from the subject which makes the relative distance between the subject and the background smaller which means less toneh. however when you film wildlife you almost never fill the frame, especially with birds, so you won’t get any less subject separation with apsc. only in the rare cases where you are close enough to fit the entire bird on a full frame sensor so that with an apsc you have to step backwards or zoom out will you get less toneh separation
I want to see the R6 III whenever that is released. R6 II is a great camera for its price. No ibis wobble, more video features and better af is my wishlist, besides more lenses obviously hehe. Love my R6 but its showing its age.
Add deeper buffer, upgraded EVF and LCD - from the old R5 parts bin - perhaps the new LP(P) battery extending battery life and 4K 120. Be a great start.

I currently use Olympus micro, 4/3 with three f/1.8 premium primes, thinking about jumping ships to full frame, The Nikon D850 & Z7II are both cheaper than OM-1 MK2, Do you think OM systems is dying system.
"Stabilization is very jerky for slow motion street videography." - that's caused by over-compensation. It seems to default to something similar to the "Boost IS" mode of Lumix cameras. The latter produce exactly the same jerky movements. Fortunately, Boost IS can be disabled on Lumixes.
I enjoy your channel, but I’m going to go into grumpy old man mode for a moment and criticize… You spend a lot of time addressing the shortcomings of camera features like AF and IBIS. That’s fair, because neither is perfect, especially when you are using them to make up for shortcomings in your chosen methods. I grew up in a photography world without either (without video, too, although what I’m saying applies to video as well as stills). In those days if you wanted photos that weren’t blurry, you had to learn some technique. Using a telephoto or macro lens almost always required a good tripod. Today when I am using a long (VR) lens (on a body with IBIS) to photograph a bird, it would never occur to me to try to hand hold it. I have a sturdy tripod with a Wimberley gimbal (I tried a Chinese knockoff gimbal and it didn’t work), and I’ve learned to use it to follow moving subjects. Smoothly. The VR and IBIS doesn’t jerk because the camera movements are smooth. Technology has come a long way, but it works best when combined with skill. Developing skill, at least for me, adds to the joy of my photography. I know you want a perfect camera that takes care of such things, but maybe it’s a wild goose chase.
Even Sony didn't jerk around like this Nikon. Panasonic and Olympus have it figured out. And for the most part it's perfectly stable until moving around. Technology is already here to ditch the useless tripod.
Call me mad, but I think we wouldn't need any IBIS at all if manufacturers hadn't gone all-in on rolling shutter chasing the dynamic range dream. It's actually ridiculous to me that the devices we use specifically to capture motion are BAD AT CAPTURING MOTION. I have a 4k video camera with global shutter, and though it's weird and frustrating to use in ways I won't go into here, I have found camera shake literally doesn't matter at all any more, because it looks fine when the entire image moves instead of the everything turning to jelly. Vibration is a normal thing your eyes/brain can compensate for in a video, but jellied mess is not. (Also, I love whip pans and crash zooms and can do them all the time without them looking terrible). Sony have got the idea with the A9 III - we had correct motion in the film era, and it's time it returned. A return to global shutter for video will make all current video cameras, regardless of their bells & whistles, obsolete, and those in the future will wonder why we put up with rolling shutter at all.
@@C.I... Well now I want to hear about the weird and frustrating ways of global shutter! Never been a fan of IBIS for video especially on slower rolling shutter sensors.
@@cameraconspiraciesevery single canon and Sony wildlife photographer that also used Nikon agrees Nikon is top for telephoto VR (Duade, Jan, Steve, Fabian, Wild Alaska etc). Vlogging ibis is a different story with the Z6iii/Zf and its focus point ibis. The jerkiness in your wildlife footage is a technique or setting issue. Or should we believe you and your 3 uses of the camera is really demonstrating its full capabilities?
@@livejames9374 None of them are doing handheld video of moving subjects. It works great if you're not moving. The only other mode is sports mode which never looks good.

You need to get out more to do wildlife. I think that your focussing is off with the Nikon as well. The lens is much more capable. You need to sell the Nikon and go back to your beloved Canon until it lets you down again. And then maybe Sony again? It’s never ending!
Why don't u sell your footage to someone or somewhere? It looks great and professional, the camera will pay itself and u have a second income instead of relying on RUclips views
Hi! They say that the perspective on 4/3 is different from full frame. Could you shoot a video on one of your 3D POP lenses, and then attach it to the m4/3 via a speed booster and set the same exposure for false color, will you see the difference in the video?
When are you going to compare classic Nikon glass to your beloved canon classic glass? And you are already getting bored with one of if not the best 600mm prime lens? Will you weaken and go back to a zoom lens for wildlife? Who knows.
T14 with an almost 1 inch sensor though. T11 is full frame and a prime lens. It would be way worse than my Nikon prime, but I don't think I need super high end wildlife gear.
Definitely go Canon! It's boring kit but you haven't wasted enough money on it yet. Then, after finding out it's boring, you'll sell everything for a new 'wildlife phone that does 1048 fps in a banned Chinese raw format, before finally switching to medium format Fuji and hiring an assistant to bring a tripod, winch and extra bag of batteries and a truck. This channel is fantasy!
A law "tends" to happen, a theory is a pigeon holed law, 'there's a 90% chance this is true'. But it's because nobody could pass the curriculum unless they agreed with that theory. In calculus two, it's called polynomial order of magnitude. If a comet has more than five pieces, due to force decoupling harmonics as it nears a star, there is as much gravitation within the asteroids as betwean the other bodies. So it's a time wise solution, smellovision. Superfluids decouple, but the easier solution is that it's a freeway, Hyundai always goes as slower as pope mobile, it's just his hat, big white cardinal hat to eat lucky charms and listen to Pantera, no big deal if you can build a case. Thus matter slows down for the Macy's Day sale event, everything been sold out in the 1888 big horsehair calendar. The floats just keep the warehouse warm until it's made into an airport goat shoot. If you fill enough crap, you get a ladenfrost fire from the Nephilim Mormon sisters of christ. But she's bound to get a forest green Rubicon because work is always more than jerk, she really couldn't be Satan. A monstrous camera would be overbearing, at least get a million dollars. Gotta sell my truck, if you keep buying stuff, they would have a million dollars in the transformers universe, have you ever seen two ships with same name? Their not even the same ships. But rich people have daycare, it's got all sorts of functionality, tenebrous war shelters in the Japanese DJ Antoine missing 2008 Le Fat Hombre, before Dubai.
I think most tests show that the GH7 is better in DR than the Z6iii, actually. Thanks to the combination of DR Boost in the GH7 and Z6iii's "partially stacked" sensor I suppose.

I'd love to see you review the Canon C70. Considering how much you like the look of the C100, it would probably be amazing :)
P.S. It's on sale now ;)
It's a camera I would probably pounce on if I saw the right deal. I NEVER see deals on it lol. Cheapest I've seen is $5997 with tax new, and like $5300 used. Too high I think.
@@cameraconspiracies I see it's $5K USD new on BHphoto and $4,2K used there. But I'm guessing you'd have to pay import tax in Canada to buy it from the US?
@@yawningmarmot Yea $6431, more than brand new lol.
@@cameraconspiracies Woah, that's far out!
I started seeking out EF glass after picking up a cheap 5d III. If you keep talking about it you’ll drive the price up 😢

If the z8 had hd240, it would be close to a perfect camera imo. Personally I would use that feature often, but would still be useful from time to time
Am I dreaming or was the best wildlife footage Kasey got, filmed either on the Sony A7s3 or the GH6, like seriously.
Kasey, what should I buy? I'll photograph anything. I don't care. I just want a camera and a lens. Moto G Power?
I never bought another camera since Nikon D200 and my photos always win photo contests and clients give me millions for my portraits.
I never buy anything new cause my skills are timeless.
Millions for a nikon photo? Lies
At 17:36 confirms there are no flickering on Nikon Z6iii, Robert may have bad copy or auto iso settings. Z6iii looks good on my screen
Flickering is a real thing.
@@livejames9374 maybe, but it's not bad as some had reported, there are many pro users of Z6iii already and i see only a few are complaining

For different colors I think you could try before switching systems calibrate your monitor. It would be cheaper although less fun.
Yep fuj xt5 240 fps buddy needs the 100 - 400 / and or 150-600 f8 need light but toneh comes around just get low . And wait for that 500 prime
It’s funny how smitten you were with that camera. Now…. It just shows that we as humans are NEVER happy
you need to switch to sport ibis mode. it's made for video. you'll have less catch-up-jerks
And less stable static shots.
I currently use Olympus micro, 4/3 with three f/1.8 premium primes, thinking about jumping ships to full frame, The Nikon D850 & Z7II are both cheaper than OM-1 MK2, Do you think OM systems is dying system.
Wow that wildlife intro animation was fire. 😄
Sometime we must go a long way out of our way to go a short distance.
Nice greens in that shot... ideal light was fortunate at that moment
Of course we want to see you get the canon stuff to compare against the nikon stuff
I prefer the stabilization in sport mode for most things...seems to be less jerky...but yea, it's not Panasonic level.
honestly checking out the canon seems like a decent idea. Maybe it's better, who knows
That spider egg shot was great!
spider egg, amazing footage!
3x stacked 2x teleconverters solve all problems
I think there is an aftermarket accessory to add a mind-controlled robotic third arm for the Nikon. Fixed.
Nicky boy has beautiful wildlife, what are we doing? I feel like we should enjoy what we have for now.
Makes sense to go to something else since Nikon has been the pinnacle of image quality on this channel.
Funny how you called that spider a daddy long legs. We call crane flies - daddy long legs and as the name implies they're not a spider.
7:17 that made me chuckle
Have you tested VR set to 'sport' on the Z6iii? This is supposed to optimise panning shots, especially on those long lenses.
Yes, it makes static shots much less stable.
@@cameraconspiracies Aah, it would also be irritating having to switch between the two modes I'd imagine, unless it could be mapped to my menu.
Go for it. I'm curious how it looks compared to c100 on aps-c.

I hear it in your voice already, The cannon r5 mark ii is coming in your future.
Would you ever consider renting gear?. I know it can be expensive on some of the stuff. I think the camera companies are afraid to send you their products to review as they want yes men reviewers and there are plenty of those on youtube.
Good morning everyone! I hope you all enjoy this video as much as I surely will🙌🏽
It's Dirk Dwindlehammer. I don't know what that chickadee had. Whatever it was he was feasting.
G'day.
If you work for Nat Geo, or rich with bitcoins, $10k is nuttin.
But why would you want to be cheap when you could be exotic?
You could sell the left handed Nikon and buy a Sony 600mm f4 for even more money and slap it on the zv10 mkii.
For canon APS-C(even for fullframe) for wildlife.. you really should consider the "Sigma 150-600mm F5-6,3 DG OS HSM".. i know you sh!t on sigma alot and "nO 3d PoPp!!1"..
But you really should at least check it out.
You need to get out more to do wildlife. I think that your focussing is off with the Nikon as well. The lens is much more capable. You need to sell the Nikon and go back to your beloved Canon until it lets you down again. And then maybe Sony again? It’s never ending!
I hope the R5ii is better than the Z6iii, for almost double the price... $4,200 Big American inflated doll hairs.

C’mon, you’ve actually never looked better than with Nikon color. 😁 Nikon’s fine. Your eyes are miscalibrated. 👀
When are you going to compare classic Nikon glass to your beloved canon classic glass? And you are already getting bored with one of if not the best 600mm prime lens? Will you weaken and go back to a zoom lens for wildlife? Who knows.

Disgusting footage with a Toneh 10.4 to 14 but yet you are considering buying the RF 600mm F11
This video offended me greatly. I enjoy both drinking milk and lobster meat. I have been personally attacked.
