I will say that the Fuji autofocus when you went out of the picture and came in it picked you up faster then the Nikon did... But it seems the Nikon is more on track with keeping focus on whatever is in the frame that's why it took it a second to focusing on you when you left the frame but if you stay in the frame it focuses on you a whole lot better than the Fuji does... Kind of some catch 22's
The Fuji has nothing on that Nikon with the Canon 85 1.2. Those first 10 seconds of the Nikon in slow motion looked like a scene out of a movie. The flare and ghosting was absolutely perfect 🤌🏻
ADVICE TO CC: As an owner of a canon R5c and a Fuji xt5, and I only buy cameras with the #5 in title. Hasn’t failed me yet. And just so you know, the #5 has spiritual properties. It’s why my R5c is better than c80 (if it was a c85, then MAYBE, but, the hammer has been redesigned, it now exists on a different spiritual realm know as the “canon soul hammer”, leaves no trace of damage, barely perceivable until you get your crappy c80 footage back and realize the soul of footage has been crushed). The 35 F1.4 is notoriously bad for autofocus, which is why they brought out the revamped line of F1.4 lenses (in this case the 33 is meant to be the replacement). I think the 35mm F2 is also meant to be a lot worse at AF than the 23mm F2. Granted none should be "bad", but you did seem to give the system the biggest challenge this time. I use the 18-120 - very few AF issues as it is lighting fast at focusing.
@@dmitrydonets4128 Yes, but newer lenses focus a lot better. I just recently got 16-55 (first version) and I was shoked how much better the AF is! I still enjoy your "crappy" Fuji b-roll. Why are my standards so low? I read and have heard from many experienced photographers... that light is more important than focus. I'm used to having both these days, but there is still something to that. I love the pop-up flash on the D750, Z50, and Z50II for what it is. Although, it should have been a warm LED! If I was Nikon, I 'd have made the NIKON letters light up a the LED lamp, and it would also be part of the focus assist feature. Then they could have put the eye sensor above the viewfinder, which prevents unwanted screen touch EVF switching.
You need to get your hands on newer Fuji lenses. The auto-focus isnt great, but what is shown here is not what we are seeing. It is slightly slower, but gets the job done. That decade old 35mm 1.4 is going to be slow regardless of firmware success. Ive kept my 35mm 1.4 for the beautiful still images it produces, the 33mm 1.4 comes close, but not the same. It does however perform exponentially better with auto-focus. Like you, I am waiting to see what Fuji does with this upcoming firmware. I wont sell the X-H2s because as is, it is still a great wedding photography camera, but I might have to pick up a Canon body. I wont go Sony and I wont go Nikon. My portfolio has a rich color look I prefer that only Fuji and Canon produce without massive post work.
I own several decade old sony's and nikons and they work better than fuji, it's the camera 100%. I own 5 fujis and the old ones like the xpro3 focus waaaaay better than the xh2 or the terrible x100vi (which I'm going to sell for sure if they don't fix the autofocus).
Wow. Nikon looks so much better. I'm a little in awe. Your face in the Fuji looked... way sharp, and very contrasty or something. Interesting camera and the slow mo was great in this

People always bitch about old Fuji lenses, I find them more reliable lol. And none of the modern ones have 3D pop. The AF is only a bit smoother when moving around like a monkey, not worth losing all depth information and having an even sharper more clinical look.
This might be helpful: F log is less sharp than any of the film sims if you use the same sharpness value on both. The film simulations still have a little bit of sharpening on them even if you set the sharpness on -4. HLG is also sharper. I tested this on my X-T3 and I can imagine that it's the same on H2s.
I've been eyeing the Nikon Z6 iii for a few weeks. Prolly gonna trade in my Fuji XT4 and glass and jump to the z6 iii (or keep the XT4 body and one lens, and get the Nikon too).

Man i love your channel and your style. I just put my hand on the z6III and for me the image look a little bit too noisee. I test LOG with H265 codec, Prores4.2.2. and n-raw. H265 has a lot of flicker noise beetwen iso2000 and iso6400. the worst noise is at iso5000 and a lot of flicker. and z6III show me wrong minutes remain on the card. i shoot 2 hours 50 minutes in 128gb card, in 4k h265 10 bit color. minutes start from 42 minute and 17 seconds and when this time goes i press again this time for 37 minutes, after this i press again for 38 minutes. i don't understant logical reason for this time in REC. What you know about this.?
That sharpness on the Fuji looks gross. Take a look at any movie - none look sharp like that. The difference in sharpness isn’t the lenses, it’s in camera sharpening.
I agree the Fuji looks overshapened, but with the Nikon... Holy chroma noise Batman... Especially in his studio it looks like muddy, interlaced garbage.
BROOOOO ! the fuji images look like something out of a big-budget movie, I'm impressed, for fiction it's perfect. For the autofocus problem, switch to manual. You've made me want to buy a fuji XH2S thank you!
I never see the pop on the fuji lenses. Especially on the X100 series. They are flat af but its a different kind of look. Its not Viltrox level flatness. The nikon 40mm f2 pops though. My favorite lens
@4:50 playing with that wig, no wonder you're getting a male stalker lol ! Fruits gonna love that kind of stuff. I remember friends I made out night clubbing back in the day used to go to a particular area just outside the city because it was popular with chicks, but the fruity ones went there too - it was fruit central. My friends would go out to that fruity part of town and come back to the city, but they'd get a fruit or two tag along with them. I'd end up catching up these friends and meeting their fruity tag a longs, and pretty soon it was obvious that they wanted my friends back door - I would laugh my ass off! My friends didn't realize that their new friends wanted to go into their back doors. My friends were a bit trendy so the fruits thought that they too were fruits. I told my friends: dudes, you just don't go to that side of town no matter what. They didn't know that they can attract a person of that particular persuasion. I didn't really think about it until you said you had a stalker, but yeah you do some slightly strange stuff that could be interpreted by a person of that fruity flavour as a signal. To everybody else, you're just acting like a goof with a wig and its funny, but to the fruity you're mocking women in your misogyny and thats what the Gee Aye whY boys do. I think you need to put your girlfriend on your channel occasionally to keep the fruits away, but you don't have to show her face so's she remains private.
I have no clue what this man is saying half the time. I bought a Canon R8 and love it for street photography. I guess now the RUclips algorithm decided i need this ....
If your using the 35mm 1.4 for video it’s one of the worse lenses to use for video for Fuji old motors look at a nice 16mm 2.8 will do much better with the auto focus. Love your videos keep up the great work
We all know Fuji AF sucks at this point. If you need to rely on it than it def not an option. If you use maunal lenses and camera rigs i guess you are safe. The next update might fix it, they could literally just roll it back to v 1.0 and it would be great. Dynamic range is important if you do wedding videography or similar where you cant take care of lighting and you go from indoor to outdoor.... also, I think a lot of this colour problems and sharpness could be fixed with better colour grading. Phantom luts. Also, the thing is Casey does not need 4k 60 fps as main workflow and the way you use camera changes everything. If you need photo camera and video camera hybrid with good 4k 60fps, your options are really xh2s, r5c, z6III or z8 and a7rv.
Have you tried downgrading firmware to 1.03 much better' many of us fuji pows are have downgraded and saiting for this november 8.0 firmware as last chance before mass selloff of fuji. Btw that lens is okay for photos only maybe, the 60 f2.4 macro is more mavical renderi g and significantly worse autofocus
I have an XT5 but I'm tempted by some of the deals on the Z6III at the moment. I'm hoping the next firmware will make the Fuji more reliable for AF given how long they have been working on it but it may be too little too late at this stage.
I think you probably know this, but you can set your Fuji to focus quicker. Maybe you have it set at the default now when you may want to be using the faster tracking option. Never mind. You switched to it and it got marginally better.
I couldn't decide which camera system to buy, so I bought a Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Pentax body with lenses, so I don't have to decide. I couldn't bring myself to accept Sony colours or Canon's cripple hammer, so I stayed away from those 2 systems.
You know 0:43 the Fuji on the left looks like the oversharpened camera. But I like the Fuji picture and the color science better than the Nikon to the right. Edit: 8:00 Kasey caught that too! Hmmmm
We used to make fun of Panasonic for its autofocus, today it's Fuji, the worst by a mile. But for street shots I like the Fuji colors much more. And the Nikon 85mm f1.2, I expect a magical shot like the Canon 85mm 1.2, but nothing, it looks quite ordinary.
Fuji did not have good tonality compared to the Nikon, looked like small sensor stuff lol. Also seems that Fuji lens has way more depth of field but was over sharpened af. I still like Fuji though.
They both look good to me. I didn't realize what a pain in the bitch the RP can be when you start making videos. The autofocus tends to hunt. I started using manual focus lenses with it for a better aesthetic and focus reliability. When I upgrade, I don't want to change systems, but I do like your Nikon Z6III.
Honestly i think the Fuji looks terrible. Like not just the obvious thing, the autofocus but also the image in general.. the colors are imo just off and ugly cheap look. Even that loved and "glorious" lens the 35mm, i don't know man.. maybe i just don't see what other people see but to me there isn't any 3d pop or great "character" on that lens that would make the image look pleasing.

Hmmm. Fuji looks pretty good. Sharp. Cheaper lenses
Fuji sharpness is golden Nikon feels like upscaled 1080p
Yeah, what's up with that?
It’s the Nikon z40mm, a budget lens around 200$ and at f2.0 a bit soft in the middle, the new 35mm 1.4 or 1.8 are the real lenses ☝️
It's really not golden it's over sharpened. Your brain is fooling you.
That sharpness on the Fuji looks gross. Take a look at any movie - none look sharp like that. The difference in sharpness isn’t the lenses, it’s in camera sharpening.
Bro used an ass lens
Nikon was hands down much more filmic and pleasing. Fuji log looks like oversharpened hell.
I agree the Fuji looks overshapened, but with the Nikon... Holy chroma noise Batman... Especially in his studio it looks like muddy, interlaced garbage.
@@Bradum True. Something was wrong with Nikky boy today.
If he’s using rec709 then its not filmic
Your slow motion moving portraits continue to enthral me. Footnote: you look better in a wig than you should feel comfortable with.
The Cinema was ours!
BROOOOO ! the fuji images look like something out of a big-budget movie, I'm impressed, for fiction it's perfect. For the autofocus problem, switch to manual. You've made me want to buy a fuji XH2S thank you!
Nice try, Fujifilm sales manager! 😁
@@MikeRinz well tried nikon executive director🤣
I agree 100% fuji is amazing!!!!
@@lewstv1597 Exept the AF!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah! Switch to manual! You can't say if AF is bad if everything is out of focus!
I never see the pop on the fuji lenses. Especially on the X100 series. They are flat af but its a different kind of look. Its not Viltrox level flatness.
The nikon 40mm f2 pops though. My favorite lens
Fuji is the master of subject bokah.
Bros just recording random people and their reactions are hilarious 😂
Also, I sold my X-H2S. I switched to Sony and got myself a FX3 and I’m already in love with it. Fuji is so bad now. It’s only good for photos
Sorry to say the Fuji picture is sharper, plus you have to setup your focus speed and subject lock , the Nikon looks fuzzy and soft .
I have no clue what this man is saying half the time. I bought a Canon R8 and love it for street photography. I guess now the RUclips algorithm decided i need this ....
Theres something special about that IQ and DR tho
The death stare at 6:16 will give me nightmares.
6:35 now this is a scene
Even pedestrians look sexier in Nikon footage. Is it also part of RED's IP?
I traded my a7iv for a Fuji xh2s now im crying myself to sleep
If your using the 35mm 1.4 for video it’s one of the worse lenses to use for video for Fuji old motors look at a nice 16mm 2.8 will do much better with the auto focus. Love your videos keep up the great work
Do Panasonic S9 or S5ii next!!! Their auto focus has gotten much better than Fuji
6:20 she was MAD MAD MAD
I was just about to comment the same lmaooo she was not feeling it at all.
Best shot. FUJI AF IS COMICAL
12:13, the cinema is yours, wow!
Awesome beats
That pigeon looked great through the fuji lens and camera!
I have an XT5 but I'm tempted by some of the deals on the Z6III at the moment. I'm hoping the next firmware will make the Fuji more reliable for AF given how long they have been working on it but it may be too little too late at this stage.
Doubt that after many update after many years😂
and if they can get that focusing problem in fix they can be in business I really enjoy their color science
I love you MAN!
I think you probably know this, but you can set your Fuji to focus quicker. Maybe you have it set at the default now when you may want to be using the faster tracking option.
Never mind. You switched to it and it got marginally better.
11:35 It does help when everyone single person in the shot is dressed like they're on the cover of Vogue.
I couldn't decide which camera system to buy, so I bought a Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Pentax body with lenses, so I don't have to decide. I couldn't bring myself to accept Sony colours or Canon's cripple hammer, so I stayed away from those 2 systems.
What does cripple hammer mean?
@@marlenelandstravels It's a hammer that cripples features out of more affordable cameras for the sake of protecting higher end bullshit cameras.
Strong disagreement with the use of the word ‘ordinary’, unless you mean, typically aesthetically filmic.
I think I'm more pumped up for Fuji's X100VI in (Medium Format)
Fuji did not have good tonality compared to the Nikon, looked like small sensor stuff lol. Also seems that Fuji lens has way more depth of field but was over sharpened af. I still like Fuji though.
I need new prescription glasses 6:52
They both look good to me. I didn't realize what a pain in the bitch the RP can be when you start making videos. The autofocus tends to hunt. I started using manual focus lenses with it for a better aesthetic and focus reliability. When I upgrade, I don't want to change systems, but I do like your Nikon Z6III.
Wait, is this a music channel now? I like it
The Fuji is Great , but the Z6 III is a beast , even with that slow 40 F2 (I own the SE for my ZF).
C70 comparison WHEN?????
I'm still with Fuji because I bought a bunch of used lenses from some RUclipsr and can't afford to switch to a real system.
sell all fuji! Buy a nikon camera, one lens and happiness will come
X-H2s does a better job with highlight retention.
1:45 Pentax! WooHooOOO!!
beside the over sharpen image, that auto exposure on the Fuji is not good
Honestly i think the Fuji looks terrible.
Fujifilm autofocus suffer especial when you are not in boost mode
