I was checking dpreview's studio comparison pictures, and it was interesting to see that both the Z8 and Z9 had strange colorful noise even at ISO 64, probably some kind of moire, in small, contrasty areas (for example on that old family drawing on the left side). The Z6iii didn't show any of it. Has someone experienced this issue in real life situations?
Well we are all different, so that's the deal on choice. I'm the opposite to you. I'm a pro who shoots with two Z6ii's. Gorgeous cameras, literally 95% good enough. I'd just love the AFC to be a tiny bit more sticky. I still only lose about 2% of images from out of focus. I shoot weddings, gigs, events. Often they are fast moving with people jumping, dancing etc. I think the 2% of blurry images is pretty good on a camera that is now 4 years or more old. However, for somebody who is 100% photo-centric, Nikon threw us guys under the bus. I could use either the ZF (but too many MP), or the Z6iii, so why did Nikon put those stupid, ridiculous selfie screens on both of them. If they had kept the flip down screen on at least one of them, I would have changed over. I trialled the Z8, ZF and Z6iii. Loved the screen on the Z8, but in Australia is 7K, body only. The 70 gig files on that big sensor would kill my computer, and it's too big and heavy. Z6iii would have been perfect, with the 24mp sensor, but of course Nikon killed it with that wretched selfie screen. For now, I will continue with my two older cameras.
It's a good thing to have clarity regarding your expensive purchases based on practical concerns. It's even better when you're not struggling against Gear Acquisition Syndrome.
Kasey records his shows two weeks in advance. That means there are only 12 more days until The Locksmith(TM) runs out of pre-recorded shows he can post. Since I assume that Kasey edits his shows as he goes along that means editing quality will either start to dip in about 5-6 days and then change to just raw footage around day 9-10, unless The Locksmith(TM) has decent video editing skills. Then day 13 we're going to start to see someone else wearing a Kasey Real Mask(TM). Sincerely, Kasey, do NOT post any videos in 10-12 days that are unedited/barely edited takes. That would be freaky. Genius too. You know what, if you're that dedicated, go for it, you just wrote the craziest storyline since you coined the term Toneh.

Z6ii is such a bargain right now. Admittedly I have a z8 for all my technical shoots but the z6ii is just a really great everything else camera in a compact body.
I tried 4k120p at work, I was filming footage inside our factories and then the quarry workshops where they work on stones. I gotta say, I was speeding that 4k 120p up by 2 times, too many times in post, the 120p is TOO SLOW, I never in my life thought this was the case, I can see 120p and 240p being exceptional for subjects that move at mach 5 but not for a guy swinging a hammer, its still cool to have the versatility though. Panasonic needs to give me, a triple gain sensor m4/3 of course, with 4:3 full sensor readout, 6k60p. With a 14bit ADC and more dynamic range than any full frame.

For wildlife the Z8 is better in almost ever way than the Z6III. Don’t waste your money. 8K, oversampled DX crop mode with video and 20MP stills. Those features matter in the field. Not a flippy screen.
Z8 has no HD 240p, it's heavier, more expensive, less versatile for filming things other than wildlife with no flippy screen, and 6k is more useable than 8k.
I have the Z9 and the ZF and love them both. I don't mind the weight and size of the Z9, the big battery lasts ages and the grip is the most comfortable grip ever. Are you aware of the 3.8k 2.3x crop NRAW mode at 120 fps which is in the Z8 & Z9? This would give you great reach out of your 600 (1380mm equivilent at 3.8k RAW 120p!!)...
