- BOEING 747-400 heavy TAKEOFF. First officer flying manual and doing a great job 👏
Long run from V1 to V rotate. This 747 weight is close to the maximum takeoff weight. Наука
Incredible footage. It is like being in the cockpit with the pilots during this take off. Thank you Captain Boeing!
U welcome ✈️
I’ve never been on a plane before. So that was awesome 😄
I flew on the upper deck of a 747 for the first time recently and I was in awe the whole time. Mainly because of its size. That and the fact that I’d dreamt of flying in one since a young age. It’s incredible how tiny the cockpit is though for how large of an aircraft it actually is!
I've traveled upper deck business class of BA 747 before they retired them, but it wasn't sizable, in fact nice and small, like a private jet, no sense of the 100s of other people in the plane. Always a great flight, will miss the old BA 747s. I'm booked next flight on a BA 777, but has new club suites, so will see how that compares.
I done that in 1993 from Glasgow to Toronto I was flying alone to visit relatives in Canada and they put a unaccompanied minor in my seat and I got upgraded to first class my seat number was 61 J it was fantastic greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
It’s the greatest commercial airliner in history, hands down. Remains the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world.
What airline? Got any photos?
@@greenlantern9757 Lufthansa, Frankfurt to Los Angeles. I have a self-video of me walking up the stairs to catch my reaction but that’s it
Nice. Appreciate first officer hand flying the bird all the way through departure and up to cruise. The skipper appears to be solid and a mentor.
The colossal size of the queen of the skies is breathtaking. Thank you for keeping the flying public safe 😎👍
The first time I was a passenger in a Boeing 747 back in 1983, it blew my mind feeling all that enormous power as we took off. What a wonderful aircraft and still just as impressive to me all these years later.
My first time was a business trip to Germany. I flew a Northwest 747-400 from Detroit to Amsterdam. It was a business class ticket which put me up in the hump. Like sitting in a Lazy Boy chair at home. Champaign on the ground, lox & bagels for brunch, hot towels frequently and the privilege of having that takeoff thrust pin you to your seat. Magic!
We flew from JFK to Berlin in the 80s and I still remember how awestruck I was as a kid. And yes, my dad made sure I made it to the upper deck! I still have the wings the captain gave me as we exited the aircraft.
You just dated yourself

Simply incredible , amazes me every time I fly. Great video.
One of the best airplanes ever made. Truly the queen of the skies.
Agree 👍
No. Miss Pette Buttiget is Queen of the Skies!!!!!
@@stuartlee6622 ?
Miss Buttiget 💄💄 is Queen of Transportation.
Including Miss Aeroplanes.
There's just something about 747 flight decks that make me smile.
Love the Professionalism and Discipline of the Pilots in this video.
I would hope that sentiment would be not just for these pilots.
@@fifthof1795 Exactly!!!
My first time on a 747 was as a twelve year old kid back in the mid 70's. Got to go up the spiral staircase to the upper deck lounge, visit the cockpit, get a pair of wings and they also gave me the paper map which hung in the main cabin with our route drawn on it from the US to Europe.
Same here, 1972 I was twelve when I made my first flight over the atlantic in one of the early 747 in SAS fleet.
I too went up the stairs at 17 and thought to myself "Bond, James Bond".
Great plane with a great Crew !!
Beautiful take-off, great job 👍🏽🇺🇸
So cool! Never ceases to amaze me how they can leave the ground!!
In principle even a mighty 747 leaves the ground thanks to basic physics but it's still a sight to behold
@@andydporter5136 yes!
The sound of those turbs spoolin never gets old. Never realized how much of a reach it is for the gear lever
I'm glad someone understands what all those buttons do.
Beautiful!! Safe travels, gentlemen!! Thanks for sharing, Captain Boeing!! 💕✈✈💕
I can't say this enough. Safe travels always. 🙏 beautiful scenery and a nice captain as well ❤
It’s a joy to watch this. I have many passions and the amazement of flight is one of them. From the Wright Brothers to the incredible jets of today. My introduction to flying was with Airlines of New South Wales out of Sydney to regional centres like Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and Griffith. They were called Mystery Flights. You phoned reservations the day before asking for a flight and if available were then told when to arrive at the airport. You were treated as a regular passenger with full in flight service. As a teenager it was about $8? (AUD) What an experience! I’ve been fortunate enough to have had several trips between Australia and the UK (where I now live.) These journeys are infrequent and I never taken them for granted. The thrill of the take off and that seemingly easy rotate is incredible. It looks so easy but the skill and preparation is far more complex than most passengers comprehend.
totally cool how they easily manage that super size Jumbo jet! what skill! Luv pilots!
I like the narration of commands by the pilot before he performs the maneuver. Very through. Plus it provided clear input to the cockpit voice recorder. Excellent.
What always enters my mind whenever I fly is the fact that regardless of how vast cultural differences may be in the place I'm visiting, countries all seem to look exactly the same from up above. The landscape, colors, ocean. Sometimes it's hard to believe you ever left home looking at it from 15,00 feet.
Very good, I now know how to fly a 747. Thank you.
I would trust you, I saw the video too, I could co-pilot, we could fly several hundred friends to Tahiti, would be fun.
Wonderful cockpit experience, thanks for sharing 🙏
Beautiful video and take-off. Gave me a much-needed lift for the day.
Hi Captain.Takeoffs on such beautiful days must really make you smile 😊
Thanks for a great view...loved it ❤️😊
i travel vicariously through your videos....if i ever see you in an airport, I'm going to walk up behind you and say "THRUUUUUUUUST SET!!!!! as always, enjoyed watching!

Thanks for the video @Captain Boeing. Loved every second. 👍👍👍
The huge whale sighting was a nice added touch.
loving these cockpit views so that we get a front-row seat..totally awesome my friend..Greetings from the Caribbean Captain Boeing.
Such a great heavy takeoff, good job
And the video quality is superb, wow
Kudos Captain for sharing these, keep em coming
Beautiful takeoff gentlemen!! As usual 👏👏👍👍☮️💟
Hi Captain Boeing. Another great video from the flight deck of my beloved 747. So exciting and conjuring up so many memories of my cabin crew days. Very slick and professional with glorious views out of the port window towards the Atlantic, across which you will be heading. Thanks so much. Superb! ✈️👍🤗
I could watch these videos all day!! So awesome
Excellent take off as usual!
Awesome teamwork. Great video! Thanks for sharing 💪💪🙏🙏🙏
I have been on a few flight decks. Which is a honour this one is fabulous thanks for putting it together
It feels like I'm in the actual cockpit. Very Good!~~~
All you pilots are hero’s!👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Pure sound no stupid music. Thank you thank you thank you.
Great heavy take off 👍 nice views of the Atlantic coastline & the 747 shark!! Have a lovely day dear Captain ✈️😊
Another great shadow I've seen is flying in clear air towards a well defined wall of white cloud with the sun aligned directly behind the rear of the aircraft. Very scary.
@@davidpalmer9780 be like flying into a black hole 😯
I know I could search online, but I'd rather engage through the chat. Could someone explain the use of the word "heavy"? Does it refer to the size/weight of the aircraft? (I guess it sounds like a dumb question).
@@canadianroot In a nutshell,... It's a reminder to ATC of the 'wake category' of the aircraft so they don't put another aircraft too close behind it. It could get a bit bumpy for the following aircraft.
@@davidpalmer9780 Ah, wake turbulence. Got it. Thanks, David. I seem to recall a disaster being caused by wake turbulence. Watching the video about it was a real eye opener. That it would affect the flight path and handling characteristics of the next aircraft in the queue some 5-10 minutes later (the accident, that is) surprised me. I love aviation videos, but only have some of the basic terms down pat.
So Awesome! Thank you for posting.
It's really good to see you again Captain Boeing - loved the video! Have a safe journey 😘
This Airliner Aircraft (BOEING 747-400 and newer versions) can surelly land in HARD-WEATHER conditions automatically using AUTOPILOT without any ASSISTANCE of the pilots in a controled airspace AIRPORT !!! The only word THAT COULD describe this procedure is FANTASTIC !!!
I watched a video here in the RUclips of one of these planes doing such procedure in those unbelievable conditions with perfection from the perspective of the interior of the cabin and the images are incredible ! There was no visibility outside cockpit, and the plane Made the APPROACH, LANDED AND TAXIED - just perfect.
Hi Captain, fantastic video, very immersive. Thank you for sharing.
Fascinating and intimidating all at once.....thanks for the video.
I grew up in the area that you see from the cockpit. South Western Nassau County and Long Beach. Always appreciate seeing the area from above 👍
Many many years of constant JFK airport planes overhead
Nothing like the QUEEN of the skys.
Nothing compares...
The best Job in the world. The best plane in the world and Captain Boeing lucky and Blessed enough to fly it and show us some of his flying day. Thank you 👨✈️ Captain!

Awesome, graceful and beautiful.

Excelente idéia de publicar um 747 levantando vôo, ótimo trabalho do Piloto e copiloto pra colocar essa máquina em movimento, parabéns!
747 , the Queen of the skies, awesome passenger aircraft ......enjoy your flight
Thank you for a most interesting video!
So smooth and powerful. What an elegant aircraft.
Great job Captain!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
B747 the most beautiful plane.
That was really cool, thank a bunch!
Beautiful and clean lines…. Glass cockpit… so uncluttered
This is one of my favorites of yours. Shalom.

I was a passenger on a 747 in 1983, flying from Atlanta to Amsterdam and back again. It was a very different experience than any other plane I've been on. The spaciousness inside the aircraft and the steadiness off it once in the air is something unequaled. I have heard the first class cabin was a thing to behold; you had to go up a spiral staircase to reach it.
Yes, in 1990, I had the good fortune of flying in the hump of a 747, from Gatwick in London, to Minneapolis, non-stop. Slightly interesting story...
I was in the USAF, deployed to England for military reasons, in the build-up before Desert Shield/Storm. While deployed, my grandmother died. As was customary, if you are deployed overseas, and not actually, "at war" (which we were not), you get sent home for immediate family deaths, on the first available transport. Lucky me, only first class on a Northwestern 747, in the hump, was available. So i got it. 21 yr old E-3, making $25k a year, got a trans-continental 1st class ride. It was truly amazing. I actually still have the little red zip bag, with Northwest on it, that had complimentary toothbrush, paste, floss, mouthwash, and sleeping mask.
And all food, drinks, alcohol, was free, the whole way. No limit. luckily, i wasn't in the mood to party, so no shenanigans were had. But a very memorable life experience.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. 💕
Danke fürs Video 😍
Never grow tired of these videos.
Very satisfying and still wondering how these things get off the ground
Me to..
Brings tears. My mother was a pilot. Miss her daily.
AMAZING
Thank you.
You welcome 😊
Awesome Thanks for sharing. It's always a treat for me to watch your videos 🙂
😊
Wow. It's very seldom when I get the chance to fly, so I love being able to experience this on the computer at least.
Such an iconic plane. A pity that they're mostly gone from U.S. fleets.
They use them for freight now. It wasn't cost effective anymore to use them as people movers.
💔
Captain Boeing it is so great to see the teamwork spirit in your cockpit. Nice when everyone works together & leaves their egos behind. Would love to be a passenger on one of your flights someday.
Thanks ☺️
You make the best flight cockpit videos in the RUclips No. 1

Nice takeoff performance, great video, thanks for sharing.
Stunning 😍 x
I got to sit in the captains seat in a jumbo on a flight back from Australia when I was 7 as a thankyou from staff for helping them collect the dinner trays up on to the trollies....wouldn't be allowed now of course✌
Its truly fun & pride feelings to fly on Boeing 747. I flew many times travelling to Delhi Heathrow London flight & back also Dubai Heathrow. Its wonderful feelings thanks British Airways.
There is no other experience like flying in the 747-400
God I love flying. In ‘86, flew from D/FW to LAX, then LAX to Taibei, Taiwan (actually flew into Fukuoka, Japan for a night due to a cyclone over Taiwan at the time…then onto Taibei the next day) in a 747SP. Then back a year later. Taiwan is the friendliest, most historical, unique, and peaceful countries to which I’ve ever traveled and lived. The Taiwanese are wonderful. Nothing like flying over the Pacific, too.
Mostly flying around the Pacific.
its so slick and clean.
Such majesty!
Magnificent.
Everytime I watch I'm so convinced I can jump in that seat and fly that beast lol
It's an actual flight control scene I enjoyed the video
It's a good video. Especially, Cockpit's shoot is the best. Hope is for those who dream of becoming a pilot.
Great crew 👍🏼
Great video!
Hi @Captain Boeing great video! Thank you, Sir. This is a crisp and professional departure. 👍
That's an iconic eastern Atlantic crossing departure from JFK. Very nice to see your perspective.
Is there a way you can connect a small audio recorder to the intercom/audio, so we can better hear ATC as well as PF-PM conversations?
If you made such a video that included all critical stages of the flight: Takeoff, initial climb, top of climb, step climb, descent, landing, etc., many many people would appreciate it. I know hundreds of thousands of people would be very interested to watch, even a long video.✌️😁😀
Safe flying!
Very cool video as usual. Very nice view. Take care and stay healthy. Cheers from Sarnia Ontario Canada 🇨🇦

They make it look so easy, another day at work. I would give anything to lose my fear of flying.
Very Very good . I love that😍😍❤
