The problem with the monogamous relationship is that women tend to be competitive and they need to be competitive with other women in competition for the prize which should be the husband but because the husband is now their competition they downgrade and disrespect their husband because they're trying to beat their husband in a competitive way, instead of competing against other women for the male prize. Yeppers I watched my buddy marry a woman they had two kids and she and him wanted to open their marriage. IMHO Monogamy is not just a choice. I cannot deny the biological structure of a man vs woman and how our body (brain and hormones) dictates our urges. Urges that feel both right and wrong when suppressed or acted upon, which wouldn't be a thing if it weren't for thought process, culture, common sense etc. What mankind did throughout the centuries is to create social structure that worked for the majority and for the average. Monogamy is the solution for majority and average. It socially applies to everyone. However, what you said is not wrong - if a man is successful enough to provide for all of his sexual partners, in essence it should be alright. Yet it isn't, due to human jealousy and belief that all humans should be equal. But that's whole other topic.

IMHO Monogamy is not just a choice.
I cannot deny the biological structure of a man vs woman and how our body (brain and hormones) dictates our urges. Urges that feel both right and wrong when suppressed or acted upon, which wouldn't be a thing if it weren't for thought process, culture, common sense etc.
What mankind did throughout the centuries is to create social structure that worked for the majority and for the average. Monogamy is one of those constructs.
We are not that far from the seed-spreading animals we used to be, but it can't be denied we've had a fair share of time as sentient, thinking and "educated" beings. We haven't worked out all of the issues in society and maybe we never will.

It's plunger shaped and not for no reason. It is shaped in that way to forcibly remove rival sperm from a female and inject our own. That's straight up evolution of male genitals. I don’t agree that men shouldn’t be honest. I think we blow it out of proportion because we think so differently - we just can’t believe our partner would want someone else when we only want them. And when you have a person you love saying I love you I only want you you want to believe them. I’m grateful for his honesty because I can take time to process this. It honestly makes me feel nauseous.. but I want honesty so I can keep my autonomy in deciding if I want to be with someone.
