Everything you said was 100% correct. Since I don’t have any family, that’s why I’m moving to Thailand after the summer. Already financially stable. There’s nothing else to do. The West is collapsing.

Another major factor is when you get used to living in a cheap country. When you have to move back to an expensive country. Some cannot adjust to the sky-high cost of living. It can be like being a migrant moving to a new country. The economic factor is the biggest as you age friends don't mean as much as they used to in the U.S. Most people aren't real riders once they get a family. By friend I mean someone you would die for. For men, real friends are really a high school college thing. Your family you can visit once a year. The financial aspect can be debilitating when you must move back for an emergency.

This is facts. I took the plunge because I had nothing to lose really. I still keep in contact with friends and family but economically I was getting destroyed in Canada and now I am thriving. Core friends will always be there but as friends have kids and families of their own, you will see them less so you got to do what's best for you and your future. From experience I would say having savings is important before leaving the West but having a remote job before leaving is more important. I see a lot of people trying to be digital nomads but run out of money because they think they can just come to Asia etc and shit will work out. After they have to go back home and take an L. Once you setup in your new base you can begin networking, investing and finding better remote job opportunities.

Another factor for younger Americans to consider is if you are not getting properly payrolled by a U.S. company, then nothing will be paid into your social security. No payments in will equal no benefits for you at retirement age. Unless you educate yourself about investing for retirement and are very disciplined about doing your own retirement investing, you could end up in poverty when you are old.
