    Phil was completely transparent in terms of what results to expect and for how much and just as importantly what I was not getting for that price. As my daily driver the results exceeded my expectations and I’ve been back to Phil for maintenance and returning again. I’ve also used other detailers for other vehicles and will only use Phil going forward because of the quality of his service and his honesty and integrity of what to expect.

    Phil you're killing me with the over the top material you keep sharing. Fantastic tutorial on SR and what an enhancement is vs what is not. This is a business, I am so glad you keep repeating this. Thanks for the real world pricing answer. Of course we want their paint to look phenomenal, but that's when the Detailer in us, needs to make a decision on what to charge based on what will keep us in business and make a satisfied customer. The results you achieved were incredible considering the way that LT looked at first, I mean the water spots, swirls and so much more but you did it. That's the mark of a real pro, one who knows their business well enough to recognize what their capabilities can and cannot do and what the customer really wants within their budget. I've always admired how you do that. And even more impressed in how you carefully share it with us. Oh I know I have to watch these a few times in order to try and catch all that you're doing but oh is it ever worth my time. And I am looking forward to the video that shows how to get rid of tough waterspots. How you decide which pads etc and how long it takes. Again another Awesome show 👍😎, and thanks.

    Great video. I especially liked the information at the end. As a detailer, it's hard to not go overboard sometimes because we always want it to be done the best. But we also have to be mindful of what we use, how much we charge, and obviously how much we make in the end. Thanks again!

  • @scottsime5197
    @scottsime5197 3 года назад +13

    People that are going to bring up the "it's not perfect and I'd never charge my customer that for those results ". Well that's your business, you charge what you feel your talent is worth. I don't just give the customer a full paint correction when they don't want to pay for it..if you do you won't be in business making money very long..

      Thanks exactly. RUclips had made people crazy with “perfection” detailing. RUclips has become saturated with “Detailers” only showing the best results, they are afraid to truly show the reality of detailing as a business. It’s not about by perfection. It’s about going the customer what they want. Those comment that come in saying “you should have used product x it would have come better” or “you should have used this compound or pad it would have removed all the swirls”....did they talk to my customer about what they wanted for their vehicle? Are they here experiencing what we are experiencing on this exact vehicle with the exact same paint issues? Are they taking into account all the variables? Sometimes the viewers are brain washed by other “RUclips Detailers” who boost perfect on staged detailing videos, not real life customers. Sorry for the rant, but I see that you totally understand what I mean. These things need to be said, if left unchecked people will never understand true detailing. 😎👍🏼

    WOW! Phil, this is the video I needed years ago! I'm not a detailer, just an enthusiast who knows virtually nothing about detailing. I ordered The Last Stop water removal, Clearsr to remove a few water spots from my one-year old Tesla. (Teslas are known to have shoddy paint jobs.) I've watched 5 or 6 of your videos and find them very helpful. I just received the Bead Maker yesterday and can't wait to try that too. I've watched numerous raving reviews of that. • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined 3 года назад +2

      Learning how to efficiently do strictly an *enhancement* was honestly one of the tougher things for me. I kind of specialize in hammered restorations so I don't do a lot of them. Years later I *still* have to force myself to let things go. Honestly what helped alot was I would do my test spots then I would actually turn some lights *off* and skip the scangrip inspection and just get around the car.
      Plus results I'm depressed about still make a client incredibly happy. 95% of people don't see things the way we do. They look at a vehicle and see what looks good. Clean, gloss, dressed trim and tires, etc.. We look at a vehicle and *all* we see is the defects and what's wrong with it. We don't see 90% perfection, it's totally irrelevant to us, we can only see that other 10%.
      Phil helps a *lot* in this area. One of the only channels that teaches and actually shows the reality of a large part of actual mobile/professional detailing, which is daily drivers and a budget, and he shows you how to make people happy and still make a comfortable living doing it.

    • @kimnewling5728
      @kimnewling5728 3 года назад +1

      @@jdisdetermined my problem is I see all hammered vehicles. When I run the buffer over the paint I see what's left. I'm trying my best to say ENOUGH! One thing that aggravates me is when I do a paint correction and the vehicle comes back hammered again. That really frosts my butt. Thats something I gotta let go of too. Thanks for your input.

    Looks like you used the clearsr as another step in the decontamination process, which I think is a good idea. Mineral deposits, IMO, are another source to introduce swirls if not removed. I appreciate you showing us your method of using the products. 👍✌️

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 года назад +2

      Yeah that’s pretty much what it was used as the Decon the paint of mineral deposits. But with water spots it’s a little different. You could either use a chemical to try to remove them or you can use a compound to remove them. If use a compound and or polish you really don’t have to worry about swirls because you are in fact removing the swirls with that process.

    Here in Houston we have REALLY bad water. Spotting was/is a HUGE problem!! I watched a video where it was suggested to get some Formula 4 wax from O'Reilly's and spray lightly on car while still wet after wash, then dry with drying towel. This has so far solved my spotting problem. As a matter of fact, morning dew is a big problem also, but after the wash and Formula spray wax, dew just evaporates without leaving any spotting also. Amazing!!! It sucks that spotting is so bad, but ClearSR is a good spray for the arsenal also. I don't have any, but I will get and try

    I came here for the rant and wasn't disappointed. People need to get over themselves and realize that what you do or do not do doesn't affect them one single bit. I don't even do 100% correction on my own vehicles. There's no reason to when you're driving them every day. I keep them clean and as shiny as possible, but they're not going in a museum when I am done with them. They're going to my kids.

    Hi guys, honest question here and not a crappy, challenging tone . I've always been so careful with the no cap gas fill area. Scared to do something wrong and it takes time. Time meaning me with a cloth, a brush etc. and soaking the entire area around it. All good to pressure clean without fear, as long as you're not blasting full on? I know this is an old video, so not actually expecting an answer, but I respect what you do and yould love to hear about the question. Love the videos and thank you for the information:).

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi. Yeah around the no cap filler we just avoid spraying directly on it. As long as you’re careful it’s fine. It’s not like it’s open and water can just get done there. It has two spring loaded seal caps that prevent water from just getting there and sealing the fumes in and pressurizing the tank.

    Phil, live your videos for your honesty . You don't have to explain why and what you do or charge. ( honesty I think you guys don't charge enough ...lol) people are a$$holes and keyboard warriors. Probably why I prefer animals over people...lol. that paint film protection is very cool. Need that stuff. I have a question though....maybe I should ask Arron from extreme solutions, but can you use the LRV 496 before the LRV 403 then coating after waiting 24 hours? Going to do a Dodge Charger dark blue in color. All of your videos crack me up....and I learn alot in the process..its a win win situation..
    Thanks to both of you...much respect

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 года назад +3

      Hi. Thanks man!! Good question. The 403 is so smooth and nice as a finish polish you probably wouldn’t need 496 before or after it. I would go with just one of those polishes instead of both. The 496 does seem to be working great as a primer polish and coat right away as I am seeing no issues on my Sage Avalon at the moment. But the 403 should cure 24h then coat over it.

    People need to understand that you run a business and if the customer will not pay for a full paint correction you don't have to and if the vehicle is a daily driver there is no point to make a full correction because it will have swirls again and it can be dangerous because of the thickness of the paint it is not as much as it came from the factory. Experience and knowledge make the difference. BTW sorry for my writing.😅

I wonder if it would work well on car paint ?!, has anyone tried ?. Thank you. I ask because Meguiar's products are much more common in my country than the last coat for example !. Does ClearSR remove waxes , sealants ?
    Thanks :)

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 года назад +3

      I’m not sure if it would complete remove them. But being an acidic product I’m sure it would weaken any remaining waxes or sealants on a vehicle. But if you want to remove water spots from your vehicle anyway either using this product or polishing would remove any protection and you would want to start over with a good protected anyway.

      @@MirandaDetailing you also mentioned trying to get away from panel wipes. I have eliminated 2 items from my arsenal. Clay lube and panel prep products.
      You don’t need to buy clay lube, you have all you ever need in your wash bucket(fresh wash bucket).
      You don’t need to buy panel prep sprays. Either make your own with rubbing alcohol and water or just use TW Hybrid polishes. They need a damp cloth to remove the polish which pretty much eliminates a panel wipe at all😂! Or just use a damp cloth for removal of any polish....hmmm!

    Not sure why people get bent out of shape over enhancements! You are cleaning it up and applying some protection. It’s a daily and not a show car or a garage Queen. They aren’t going full out ceramic or anything. Heck even if you enhance it then actually ceramic coat it. People need to get real. Ya perfect cars look really nice but as daily drivers it’s impossible to keep them that way. Even a full out top level full level PPF will experience something in its life time that can damage it.
