I'm 62 & never have flown a RC plane. Just got my Carbon Cub S2 put together. I bought this same RTF version in this video. So yeah I need to watch all the videos I can before going out & crashing it lol
Its an absolutely great RC plane not only for beginners since it has great specs. just make sure to have good (correctable) vision to fly the aircraft. always have line of sight and go relatively high to correct any mistakes! have fun with the cub!
I just got that plane the first time I plugged it in it worked never flew it though then a week later went to plug it in to fly it and at won't do nothing now just makes a few beeps and that's it
So, if I fly the Carbon Cub (version) S2 in experienced mode, I can fly it as I wish? Correct? I ask, because the S+ (version 1 of this plane) which I have in RealFlight 9.5S seems not to let me do everything I want and takes over at times and wiggles with its wings! I want to buy the BNF version of the S2 but I want to be free of GPS and free of LAS and free of any virtual fence! Will the S2 version let me do what I want in experienced mode (with only AS3X on)? Thanks!
Okay I'm gonna be brutally honest here. This plane is a POS. Well, not so much the plane as the flight controller/receiver. Despite what they tell you, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make the RTF version work on another transmitter (like the NX8) unless you give up SAFE. I even worked with Spektrum support and we couldn't make it happen. And even as a noob, I found the thing virtually unflyable in Beginner (full SAFE) mode. So keep that in mind if you're gonna get one. IMO you're better off just getting a GOOD transmitter and getting the BNF version.
I bound my Carbon Cub RTF that came with a DXS transmitter to a NX8. What do you mean by "give up SAFE"? Is it not working anymore? I can still switch all three modes with no issues and i can use the bind button as panic button, like with the DXS. My plane came with a SPM4650C receiver and SPMA3230A flight controller.
I found the same problem with mine, I purchased the BNF version, and bound it to my NX8 as well. I'm just getting back into the hobby after 30 years and thought the SAFE, and NX3S modes would really help ease me back into the hobby, I was wrong. I feel bad for the real newbies who are dependent on the claims of this product. I only fly mine now in experienced mode only. The plane itself took a huge amount of trim adjustments, it's like the elevator, and rudder are both twisted. I have the carbon cub SS as well but didn't find any of these problems with it. Happy Flying...

Buy a flight simulator

mayb just mayb try out a simulator before flying in real life
As an absolute RC beginner, I love these videos. They demystify the assembly, and set up of my Carbon Cub!
Never, NEVER let your planes battery get down to absolute empty of a charge. It needs to have some charge in it to recharge.
@@samiam619why’s that?
@@jackpremiumaccount It’s the type of battery that requires it.
Thank god for fast foward
Give the guy a break guys he helped me build the plane in a previous vid, sure he talks slowly so there is no misunderstanding.
Been flying real planes for 40yrs. Never heard someone say aileron in the way he's saying it.
Thanks for the vid 👍🏻
Must the plane be horizontally level at startup, or can it be left resting on its three wheels?
I just got my box of items and the Carbon Cub. I bt five batteries and opened one. There was no tape in the box to where the battery to the bottom.
My plane won’t power on can you tell me why?

Will this handle the additional weight of a GoPro?
It should.
Hello anyone here know if I get this plane how I could learn to fly without any experience and no simulator
Do you require the GPS Module for this?
I don't recommend the GPS because it can cause runaways

In position 2 on the radio, it will keep AS3X on but turn SAFE off. So you will have full control of the plane to do loops and rolls.
@@horizonhobbysupport OK, so what is the wiggling of the wings in RealFlight 9.5S that I experience with this plane in AS3X?
Playback at 1.25x if you understand the English language.
Someone poke my eyes out watching this. please.... Take out. the battery. first. Oh my word !!!
Also him saying aleyeron instead of aileron
You talk too fast. Jk. Ty very good information. Mine is coming next week

Exactly, no issues here either. Hate when guys that have problems with their bird spreads misinformation. Happy flying Chris
