how does he nail these scenes and characters so hard like damn his collins vibes are ON POINT especially and he follows the show quite faithfully except when it serves a good joke (like the dancing and looking into camera) but even then still somehow feels faithful to the scene like the vibes are still on point?? wild and full of talent and skill
I will never get enough of Lizzie breaking the fourth wall. It's just brillant! 👌 Glad to see you included the lampshade in the opening sequence, as it is a character in itself. Thank you for (planning, rehersing) filming, editing and uploading this absolute nonsense. It's perfection!
Have I watched all the TikToks more than once? Yes. Have I made a cup of tea to sit down and enjoy it in its part one entirety? Also yes. This is setting me up very nicely for my trip to the ‘miserable half’ of Derbyshire this week.
Darcy’s wet shirt clip (on the BBC RUclips channel) has over 10 mil views. That means this video can get at least 1 mil. Let’s make it happen, internet. Get this man the recognition he deserves.
I battle depression, today was looking to be a dark day. But I happened upon your video and I thank you so much for the 31 minutes of laughter! Thank you for sharing your genius!🥰
Who could have ever predicted that a couple of safety pens, lace doilies and a lampshade could create the best adaptation of Pride and Prejudice? I think Jane Austen would have approved!
Quite possibly my favourite adaptation of P and P...... and because Ben is so lovely and won't blow his own trumpet, in his linktree profile there's a link to where you can leave him a tip if you've enjoyed watching these. I can't begin to imagine how much work goes into them (and not just in looking for suitable props)... Ben, you truly are a national treasure. Thank you for making us all smile and laugh.
We are undergoing a horrible US election season and this was the balm I needed. It will be saved also for further viewing for I fear dark days ahead. I am infinitely grateful.
I love that anyone unfamiliar with the TV adaptation would think this guy is *WAY* exaggerating, only he’s not. Well perhaps the dance scene. I started watching this on my phone but had to switch to a larger screen a couple minutes in when I saw how good this was going to be. Needed to savor every nuance. Couldn’t wait to see how tall Darcy would be in looking down at Mr. Collins at the Netherfield ball. You did not disappoint me. Also nice ass shot when Collins gets out of the hired carriage.😄
I didn't know what to expect when I clicked on this but after just 2 mins I am obssesed ! I am delightfully surprised and entertained .Thank you so much.
Wow!! The mugging is reminiscent of Monty Python, if Monty Python were made up of Eric Idle quintuplets. Then just as we catch our breath from laughing, Colin Firth's dry tones cut through the mirth like a palate cleanser. Fantastic!!
A few years ago, I went to a theatre production of Pride and Predjudice but there were only two actresses, and it took place in a local historical house! The audience followed them around the house as they acted different scenes, and they took turns playing all the characters, similar to you, using small props and accessories to distinguish between each character. It was amazing, unforgettable. I think it would be called emersive theatre? So fun! Yours is just as fun, and funny!! The dancing! 😂❤😂❤😂❤
You, Ben, have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love - I love.. I love you. I never wish to be parted from you and your crazy facial expressions from this day on.
This whole thing brings me so much happiness. I would incredibly happily sit through the entire '95 pride and prejudice acted with your enormous talent and humour
Simply spectacular!!! It is terribly difficult to choose but I think my favorites are the dance scenes. Followed by Mary playing the piano. I laugh out loud every time!!! And how is it that I forget that all the women are wearing a beard?! You are a genius! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This os TOP TIER. Having watched the original many, many times, the attention to all the facial expressions is not just hilarious but amazingly well executed!! BRAVO, good Sir!
These are so, so good. I laugh out loud at the dancing, and love the safety pins in the shirts for Lizzy and Jane. Brilliant (in both the American and British connotation of the word.)
I never noticed that Part 1 begins and ends with Mrs. Bennet's caterwauling until now. Your work on this reminds me of Robin Williams doing fake Shakespeare as an early bit - like yeah, its funny but i also understand Shakespeare on a whole different level now. 💐💐💐
OMG this is phenomenal ! It's amazing how you manage to capture each characters' facial expression! I laughed so hard 😂 I think it has become my favourite video on the Internet, thank you for this masterpiece !!
this is pure GOLD!!! cried with laughter at the Netherfield Ball Dancing ... sheer genius. Love LOVE LOVE this series - absolutely can't wait to see you do LCdB confronting Lizzie in the shrubbery!!!
I was excited to see this compilation after keeping up with on Insta- it's all so spot on, especially greasy Mr Collins lol😂 Your creativity and dedication is greatly appreciated by so many who love this edition ❤
My poor husband is trying to finish work about 15 feet away and I am laughing myself into an apoplectic fit. I've been a wreck all day worrying about the election in the US but for a little while I forgot all about it. This is delightful and I can't think where you found the time for it. THANK YOU and I can't wait to see part 2
I've fallen in love with you for this video alone. It is one of the wittiest things I've seen on RUclips. Brilliantly acted and incredibly funny. Thank you!
I feel the need to point out that, yes, the acting is absolutely exquisite, and your chameleon-like ability to fully inhabit every single VASTLY different character is unbelievable. However, I want to give props and shout-outs even more to THE EDITING. In order for this to feel entirely seamless, you had to act out all of these individual characters and *then* splice them all together so that it really does appear that these are all continuous scenes. And it does not in the least look like there are significant breaks in the filming. I am in awe! (And if you have someone helping with that, major props to them. If not, major props to you.) Major props to you regardless. This is truly magnificent. And hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing throughout every scene.
The camera work, too. I love how sometimes the camera moves in to the face or shakes when the character is running, etc. The angles, too. All so smart.
Omg this is so good. The copy of each expression from the original, and then comically exagerrated... chefs kiss! Now i want to watch 1995 again!!! It was so good
I love how this is both an exaggeration and exact replica of each character from the 95 version! 😂😂 You are magical! 🦄 Now everyone please join my chant: PART 2! PART 2! PART 2! PART 2! PART 2! PART 2!
The opening sequence? *chefs kiss*. I anxiously await each new installment on TT and yet absolutely watched it all together and it is STILL brilliant! Bravo!
Absolute perfection! I know this series inside and out. I have watched it too many times to recall, you managed to take the best, most entertaining bits and perform them with concise attention to detail, and picking up on the lighthearted comedic moments and making them even funnier! I adore this! And I cannot wait For part 2!
If Internet wasn't invented for this, what for then?..
This, this IS what it was made for..
4:03 this is but a fleeting shot, yet it is somehow the most Jane Bennet Jane Bennet to ever have Jane Bennetted
nailed. it.
Jane Bennet coded 😂
Upon my word, it is the most beautiful adaptation we ever beheld.
Definitely, lizzy breaking the fourth wall😂 Mr Collins all of it is just brilliant!
I love that you made your own opening sequence 😂
It's genius 😂
Mr. Collins' hair and his every expression! Caroline's feather! The versatile uses of the doily! Mary's performance! This is a masterpiece.
Pride and Prejudice aka Socks and Safety pins 😂
My God, the DANCING! I completely lost it! 😂😂😂
I could not agree more! Just brilliant 🤣🤣🤣
Indeed, he could not have done better.
You don't understand how much I love this. This is how I want to consume all period British drama from now on!
Mr. Fensome, you have given us a Treasure.
Upon my word, you give your opinion very decidedly for so young a person
@@anthuriumcactusshe is not one and twenty.
Caroline Bingley’s feather and shoulder pads get me every time 😂
Possibly one of the most precious things to ever be uploaded to the internet.
Indeed!
I'm obsessed with this adaptation.
Same. 😅
SAME 😂
It's definitive! 👏👏
I never knew the diversity of a single soft lace in costuming. Bravo. 👏🏻
I love how large this has become! It just started with one video and then us begging you for more 😂

Make sure to dance with all the officers!
Oh no, wait- that’s Brighton.
Those regency dance moves are something else. Thank you Ben, I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Encore!
I was screaming by the time Mary picked up her Jazz Piano book and walked away from the instrument. 😂
When I thought it couldn't get better - then there was the dancing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Brilliant. The only thing to top this would be the ability to watch Austen see your take on it.

The RUclips version for sure

I think we all need a part two!
He's hysterical. I laughed so hard, especially when Mr. Collins was dancing the Charleston.
Thank you for putting them all into a chronological compilation! Absolutely phenomenal facial expressions 🤣🤯

Standing ovation👏👏👏👏.

It’s most enjoyable.
Lizzie breaking the 4th wall cracks me up everytime 😂😂😂😂
I don't know what's funnier… Mr. Collins eyes, Mr. Wickham's wig, or the dancing scene between Lizzie and Darcy. 😂
