Excellent as always scott...i used your advise (g system videos) and checked out the helix and the gt1000...guess what!.....im now a helixian lol...thnx for ya help/advise...got some new learning to do but great...
Love your RUclips Videos!! Was wondering if you could talk more about IR's? How you place them in your Blocks, and do you tweek them a little . Thanks Again! Scot
I've already done a few video on IR's, and how I use them...I tend to place an EQ between the amp model and the IR, and, I ALWAYS tweak the high and low cuts. I set the low cut to at least 100hz (as high as 150hz, if it's a clean, sparkly sound I'm going for), I set the high cut to 4.0khz as my standard, yet, I'll bring it down to as low as 3.2khz, depending on what kind of sound I'm going for). The only other parameter I touch is the Level, which changes according to the relative levels of all of my other presets.
Thank You for responding to me. I will look for those Videos you have posted. I Really Appreciate you taking the time to tell me how to Teak your IRs ( I will try it with a EQ ) Love your Videos....Keep Up The Great Work!!
please start from scratch how to get to the snapshot section what control knob to push, how do you save the bracketed parameters before you save the whole snap shot?
Here's a question. I use expression pedals as well as snap shots. Can you have different start and end values on each snap shot for the expression pedals?
Well, within your song, if you have changes in gain, or the addition of effects, the snapshots make the transitions easier...it comes down to personal preference, I just love the snapshots.
I play in a contemporary worship band. Always a 4 song set. There's at least 2 effects changes that need to happen in every song and every song has its own delay settings synced to BPM. Reverbs in the genre tend to have ridiculously long decay times - the average is between 6-8 seconds. We keep a good pace with never more than a two measure break from the last chord of a song to the next, so we can't have reverb or delay tails cut off by switching presets, otherwise it will be jarring. Snapshots are a total game changer for players in my kind of situation.
Scott, I am following this video and when it got to the A/B split you forgot, when i did that it somehow saved the dirty snapshot 2 to snapshots 3&4 I can't get the Helix to change back to the crunch and heavy. The blocks are all still there, apparently I saved them like that. How do I fix this without starting from scratch again?
Jeff Haley All you should need to do is copy the dirty Snapshot to numbers 3 & 4, change the names of them, then change the amp settings in each Snapshot.

Hi Scott you make such great presets. Where can I download this one?

Hey Scott, why is top path set to multi output ? Why wouldn't the top path be set to 2a ?

Fenton Morris-Winmill I believe so, but, I would have to try it to be sure.
Thanks for the video. I'm using a preset per song. I don't understand the advantage of snapshots...
