People have been migrating since the dawn of the species, is how we've always survived and thrived. Is not like who we even consider indigenous stayed in one place at all either, they migrated, colonized and conquered others themselves.
i.e. The Aztecs and Tarascans fought against each other for several centuries, they often overran other tribes forcing them into submission without fights, destroying their cultures. It's something which goes on repeatedly throughout history regardless.

Year's ago, I got fired from a job when it was determined that my application had a check mark in the ethnic category as being "NATIVE AMERICAN". When asked about it, I stated that in as much as I was the first of my blood line to be born in the U.S.A. I was indiginious to the U.S.A. While my entire blood line previously were all born in Germany. And thus indiginious to that of Germany.
Question is: How long does it take for a person or person's to become indiginious to a country?
I think you've confused the terms NATIVE (INDIAN/INDIGENOUS)AMERICAN and the broader term AMERICAN which is used to describe those Born and living in America. The term indigenous implies to a specific group of people that have lived in a place for more then one generation. Most groups people considered indigenous or native American have lived in one place for 50 or more generations.
You wouldn't qualify for indigenous status, you would be considered a first generation American due to your parents and extended family being born in another country.

It should be pointed out. Today in the United states their are 2.5 million natives. That means in the 1600's when European settlers started coming here there were probably only about 900,000 natives in what is now the United States and Canada. There are more people living on Rhode Island than were in all of the United States.
There were however about 20 million people in what is now Mexico. When Spain started going there in the1500's.3/4th of t hose were slaves and the Spanish set them free.
So when 600 Spanish showed up in Mexico, the Aztec slaves started having dreams of Angels or the Virgin Mary, they rose up, and were freed. The Aztecs adopted the Spanish religion and language out of love. So the Spanish did not steal Spain.
The Aztecs sacrificed thousands of people, some years as many as 200,000 most of which were captured from what is now the United States. That is probably why there were so few people in the United States.
The point is that Marxists have been here rewriting the history. For example, in 1862 they will tell you that the North hung 37 Sioux Indians, then leave it there. Not mentioning that over a 2 month period the same Sioux had murdered more than 900 European settlers. They had arrested 3000 Sioux, who had committed the murders, they released all but 37 who were seen as the instigators.
Back in the 1800's and 1900's they knew that most of the trouble was made by the Indians, then would say it was their land first. The problem is there was almost no one here.
This all came about when Marxists came here and started rewriting our history books.
Finally! Someone who gets it! Marxists came into prevalence in academia during the Depression when many had bad views of capitalism. And they never left. They've been rewriting the curriculum ever since to reflect their world view. That's why our once upon a time heroes became villains. Have they forgotten how the current countries were formed? For example, the entire American continent is a colonization, the current countries that make up America were colonies of European countries that later became independent, but we do not hear the "they must dissolve the country and return the land to their owners" no one questions the legitimacy of the countries of America because they were created by colonization, they only apply that to Israel. Actually, in the case of North and South America, those countries were created through colonisation, whereas most of those who call themselves "Palestinians" were also Arab immigrants from the neighbouring lands; i.e. settlers, just like most of the Jews. Only most of the "Palestinians, for the most part, even arrived a decade or so later.

I look back fondly to 60 years ago when I immigrated to Canada. It was a wonderful upbeat country. Today's woke rubbish, founded on pressure from above, ignorance, and self-pity, had not started. My ancestors may not have been indigenous to the United States, but I am. I was born and bred here, and, other than living in NW Cape Australia for three years while in the Navy, I've never lived anywhere else. I didn't steal or rob anyone of their land or possessions; I work hard for everything I own. I've never had a desire to live anywhere else because I love it here. One day my grandchildren will be born and they will be indigenous to this land too.

I have learned from a friend of mine who is from Mexico that because land is cheap in Mexico, it is extremely common for Mexican men to go to America, make money there, and then send it back home to their families to buy land, big build houses, and otherwise build up a wealthy lifestyle. I dont begrudge him for that, i think it's brilliant.

Do you think there might be an issue with the “indigenous people” not wanting to do the ‘low class’ jobs (as they see it), thus requiring hundreds of thousands of people to come to the UK to work as security guards, wipe bottoms in care homes/hospitals, serve your coffee, clean your office toilets, etc ?
Why do the “indigenous people” so often want bullshit shitty pyramid scheme middle management, admin, sales jobs etc? And could this have anything to do with the UK’s declining productivity and balance of payments deficit…which is also the reason the currency is weak, and foreigners buy up UK assets on mass (Qataris, Chinese, etc)?
