He has read AND studied thousands of pages of human rights records meticulously and synthesised them in his works. Very strange how the world witnesses crimes without reacting. Palestinian civilians are used as shields. Cameras are strapped to their bodies and they are sent to explore buildings. If the building is boobytrapped the civilian dies, if not he is killed after he comes back and that in order to leave no witness. Horrendous crime.

@halifaxeh You are right. It's not the use of capitals that makes the statement correct, it's the substance of the words that makes it correct. The OP was merely using "titans among letters" to express their feelings about "titans among men." As someone said about the writer Thomas Wolfe, "He bestrode the earth like a colossus."
Just about any rule you put on billionaires funding elections will not keep the currently politically connected out of politics, but their rivals. If campaign contributions are limited, you can buy newspapers, news/media outlets, sponsor events/positions in higher Ed (ect). But if someone who is opposed to the current political elite donates in an improper manner or amount, the book will be thrown at them
The Supreme Court must revisit its 2010 Citizens United Decision - which allowed unlimited funding of elections by High Finance. Then again, this would be too late for 2024! @@AlleLamb

Very good speech from Norman Finkelstein about the situation in Gaza, in Israel and in the Middle East.
I can’t get enough of listening to Norman Finkelstein. His words give me hope for a future that may have a modicum of more justice. That may not sound like much, but it’s a lot when one considers the recent history. Thank you Professor for documenting the travails of a people who have been forsaken by the powerful and whose suffering, but for you, would have gone undocumented.
Well-said.

So many more reasons why billionaires should not be allowed to fund elections.
Yep, they're funding their own wishes.
