This collection started when I wanted to bring my old ridable Haro's back to life. Then the obsession started. 18 years later and I am still collecting. My mission is to have every pro model Haro ever made then have them on display here at Haro HQ.
I too came out of a lot of hell. My life’s been turned around also like you. But I’m glad you’re doing so well.like you said we are not victims but we are survivors.
Gosh this bring back so many memories. I went from a Predator to Haro to Hutch Trix Star to a Redline RL22. LOL Have not thought about that in YEARS!!!! lol.
Some dream bikes in that collection sir. Memories of a.great time to be a Kid in my neighborhood. We all had nice bikes and Haro's were top of food chain LOL. Thanks for sharing
Love your story. I had the same love affair with dyno and gt bikes in the early 90's. I know what you feel when it comes to loving and restoring bikes like this. I just finished one 91 compe and I'm starting another.
I have a haro sport and master and neither rides like my performer. The compe's I own are sentimental and ride well. I get that you have an opinion, which I respect, however, I don't see the reason to shit on my opinion.
TheSnareguitar Well seeing that Haro made their bikes with the best designs that changed every year, the best graphics and tech innovations, I'd say gt and dyno the were ugliest pieces of shit bikes. They lacked innovation whose designs stayed the same for years. These are facts not opinion. You do the math.
@@davidxrod that's bullshit bro!! Don't have to be a prick about it!!! I had a teal or aqua 88 HARO Master which I slept with, that's how much I fucking loved it!! But in 91 I got myself a DYNO Compe and to be honest it helped me improve on my tricks. GTs and DYNOs may not be as good looking, but have the perfect dimensions for control. I still kept my HARO though, it was just an obsession!!!
Amazing , I just did the pre-order for the 2019 master today , can't wait , had to add it to the collection , I still have my original 1989 , along with a couple other masters . John your the best !
Wow this is amazing! Brings back memories!!! I remember seeing a kid in my area with an original 1982-83 Haro Freestyler with the Haro Vector bars back around '82-'83. I was 12-13 at the time. I bought a teal/turquoise color 1988 Sport with Kneesaver bars. I bought the bike brand new, all stock in 1988 and then changed the rear hub to an ACS Freetrack hub. It was such a great bike. It got stolen in 1994. I wish I still had it.
Awesome collection! Thanks for sharing it. I remember ordering my original Haro Freestyler F&F back in 1982. I was so excited that a freestyle specific F&F was coming out that I just couldn't wait to own one. Rode the heck out if it, then got the next year's version after cracking the frame. So, I am personally responsible for destroying both of my original Haros through my riding. I still have my 1992 Master in the condition it was in as my main rider before I treated myself to a new bike. It still has most of the original parts, plus Perigrine HP 48's Super Pro wheels and tires. It was also ridden hard for many years and I simply retired it. It is now something that I simply enjoy seeing every day as I grab my mid school Redline twin top tube FS 880 to ride. Anyway, thanks for sharing your collection.
Are you serious!!?? Are you talking Knox in Melbourne!!?? If true, I grew up just up the road from there, and went to the same bowls in the 90s. Small world!!
This vid popped up on my time line this week as I’ve been watching oldschool bmx stuff.....I never had a Haro back in the day I had a GT pro performer.....my next door neighbour had a Haro sport which was cool in white.....I wish I could get my hands on that green one with white skyways....soooooo cool looking!
I had a 1987 and as much as it hurt, I let it go to a kid who never had a bike of his own, I grew up poor ,soo I understood what happiness came from owning my first bike, mine was a bike I put together from scraps, his was a HARO😉 pure HAPPINESS!!!!
Yeah it was my kid dream to own one, a friend of mine had one and he was really good on it too at that time. Beautiful bikes and beautiful childhood memories. I sure miss the 80's!
hey there....commenting from Massachusetts, USA. happened to go down memory lane and found this video. I absolutely loved it. I'm a 70's kid and like u did save up my $ to buy some of my fav Haro bikes. I completely understand your 'obsession' (just no way I could get away with that at MY house...ha ha!) More power to ya sir :-)
Wow that collection is insane man. That brings back wonderful memories. I'm sure we all wished we would've kept our BMX bikes if we didn't hahahahahahaha.
Cool ..what a collection..man...I'm still living the dream to ..I'm 52..now so over forty years of BMX..I can't believe it ..we had the best time ever..don't ever let go mate ..the bikes are brill...lucky you ...I'm still collecting...just got an original Diamondback oh my word .. amazing still..£45.. charity shop hahaha...had to get it mate ..I can't believe how much has changed..over the years ..just wish I could go back ..and trying to just by original is mental.. because..it's so expensive ..things we took for granted back then ... anyway take care people stay cool ..Haro ....for ever boys hahaha..👍😋
Ridiculously cool collection! I had a chrome 84 Master Freestyler with lime green Tuffy 2's. Was my pride and joy til i got my first car and into street skating. Wish i had the bike, boards and my first car!!
It`s pretty amazing the fact Bob started his company on his kitchen stove, shaping number plates and personally selling them at weekly race events...nice collection btw
Wow...just wow. That is a lot of freestyle history right there...SOOOO jealous lol! Beautiful collection, my friend. I hope that you have those puppies insured...they're irreplaceable! Thank you for sharing them with us! 👍👍
Still on my sport. I picked it up used from a older friend who made me a good deal back in 1990 for my 10th birthday. lol I'm old but still have fun on it, riding with my kids. I never realized it until I saw this video that they made two different sport modles. Mine was the freestyle one with the fold-down front pegs and the 990 brakes on the bottom instead of the top. The funny thing is I still have all the parts such as the front forks, gyro, the plastic rims that mine came with and the crank. but I switched it over more like the race Haro Sport that was first talked about in this video. Basically stripped everything heavy off of it to make a BMX race bike instead of freestyle back in 2099. I think it would be fun to have it rechromed and built with modern parts from Haro today in 2017. Anyhow thanks for the video and the insight on some of the different bikes and history of Haro. Hope you still have the collection, because it's freaking awesome. I wish I still had some of that other bikes that I went through from back then. Such as my S&M homes, power light, elf and Robinson.
Nice collection. My favs Boss xl's, hutch xl's araya 1.50's, redline 180mm 3 piece cranks... Still have a pair on my shelf. Bottom line, get on the ride, and i had a chrome group 1c I worked for. Proud of that bike.
I thank God daily for my opportunity to live and grow up through the 70s and 80s to experience bmx in all its Glory! Thank you Lord for the great memories I accumulated throughout that time
I had that one that was built by Toorker. actually was called the toorker 2. gosh I miss the 80's. We grew up in the absolute best generation!!!! Haro, P.K Ripper, GT , Mongoose, Hutch, Skyway, Redline
amazing collection. Wish I had just 'one' of those awesome haro bikes. Growing up, I always wanted one but lived in Arkansas where people didn't even know who Bob Haro was. :-(
Wonderful... I'm up to about 6 Haro bikes. I do have a Gen 1, which is amazing! The best quality made BmX's.... Still to this day! Bob Haro was my first bmx hero!
@Laserlite 3000 i was looking on ebay at mid 80s GT performer frames were going for 500-700$ with chipped paint and in rough shape....with i kept all my old stuff lol
A trip down memory lane! I was a GT racer and my brother a GT freestyler but I also highly coveted those beautiful Haros. Only Haro thing owned was/is my Haro number plate. My only remaining ride of that era is my mint 1986 GT Mach 1 race bike with period GT race jersey.
The Hutch Trickstar was the bike I never had but always wanted esp the red with white decals ....I was the kid that had to build my ride out of the stuff my rich friends were no longer interested. I scored a Haro Sport for a skate board trade back in the early 90's that was cool. It brings back memories for sure and I out road all the town esp flatland on my mongoose bmx which I turned into a freestyle bike.... My friends would get so freaking mad cause they had $300 new bikes and thought owning it would make them ride better 😂 Man things have changed and these kids today don't know how awesome they have it. ESP with parks in every town but its very cool seeing the sport become so common now. Sick collection just one of those would be cool to own.
Awesome. I still have my 87 haro sport. It was black (front) to white to chrome chainstays. I upgraded the handlebars to the next gen version. Good vid.
Totally awesome, some of this models were “the very first” bike of some X-gamers today. Haro bikes are the Ibanez to the mases, well done with great components and correct priced, from Hoffman to Mirra, Nyquist and some modern ones. 👋🏽🙂🇻🇪
Great bikes. *I really love how some of those Sports have that very unique frame design... especially since these days all of these newer companies ALL look the same, and I've honestly never even heard of them before, so I recently went with the 2018 Haro Master Lineage and it's well worth it - an amazing machine!. - * I remember a friend had a CW Racing bike with that Insane "Lightening-Bolt" shaped frame, I love unique artistic frames. ***That ZOLATONE Master is Totally SICK!
Awesome collection man. I remember seeing the Haro Master for the first time as a kid, it looked like art. You just had to have one if your were riding street back then. If I'm not mistaken they were selling $400-$600 bucks.
Haro Freestyler 1982 was my dream bike in the 80s. We were poor in the ghetto in Chicago. I had a Huffy Thunder Trail. Lol. 😂 Next in line was a Hutch freestyle and then PK Ripper. Maybe one day I’ll buy all 3.
I just got my first mid school Haro. Now I want to learn everything about them. Amazing collection. Wish the vid was longer and you showcased more of the bikes.
yes he has some killer bikes. man . ive had many bikes in my days .only wish i still had em . lol alot of money for them now the good old days. lived it . memories.

I use to have an Iron Horse, metallic white and glow in the dark frame and handlebars. (Ca$h)
I had the 1987 haro Sport too. It was the best best ever made. I wish I knew where to buy one though. I want to ride again.
15 years later and that skyway t-shirt 👕still looks freaking sweeeeeet🙌
