Thanks to Haro and John Bulltjens for making this happen, as well as Action Bikes in Universal City TX, BMX Works, Porkchop BMX, Odyssey, Redline, DiaCompe and others. These are RIDERS and not show pieces! Thanks for checking them out.
Songs: Real Life (album Heartland) Send me an Angel (Curb Records)
John Farnham (album Rad motion picture soundtrack) Break the ice (Curb Records)
My kids ask me to stop "its not healthy father", but I come back to this video attracted like a mosquito to the light, at least once every 3 months. Yes with the volume up and I enjoy every second of it... Thanks for the post!
You're right I can't stop looking at that
If your children are trying to separate you from BMX it's possible you might have to let them go
Same kids who wont go outside n throw a stick lol
Forget bmx, its one of the most beautiful bikes period. Some things in the 80s are timeless. Chills
80s - You had to be there to understand ...
I miss the 80’s badly! Great collection right there!
U said it brother!! I would watch RAD, then watch how Martin Aparejo did that decade when the verse begins,"The cry of the wind, spirit of fire, your heart of a lion...an bam!!! A perfectly executed decade. It took me 2yrs to learn, im 38 now, I had a 98' haro ultra i learned on, but the point is, I was 4 when RAD came out, and the late 80s freestyle bikes and tricks were just ahead of their time! Especially the Redline RL20, which I am searching for, already got my 86' gt pro performer, White frame, white 5 star skyway mags and white GT tires with the gumwall on them. This bike in this vid tho is SOOO SMOOTH. MIGHT HAVE TO ACT ON MY IMPULSE.
The last decade when America was America the 80s
@@marcoceccarelli6415 I do agree with that.
@IPA SOLÉ I agree with that the early 90s were good too.
I am 44 and I'm getting another one cause of this video
I’m looking too lol ... my favorite is the skyway street beat . 👍 and I’m 45 going on 46 lol
I'm 45 and want one so bad. Where are you all getting these ?
@@SilverCyclist Good question
Its called...”The sickness”! LOL
47 here and the bug bit me. I'll probably blow my money on one in 2022. Maybe it will be my 48th birthday gift to myself
Any of you guys get a bike? I'm not going to be choosy. I'll take a GT, Haro, DB, Mongoose. What ever I can get. Yes I'll willing to pay over $1000
My son just bought me a 86 Master frame and forks for my birthday. My bike was stolen back in the 80’s . Talk about reliving my past. Love the 80’s and everything associated with it. By the way amazing collection!!!!
Many of our cool, rad bikes were stolen off driveways sidewalks or right out of the garage. Saddest day of our childhood.
These bikes were SO ahead of their time...they are still top shelf bikes!!! Love Haro
I still have my Haro Master that I built back in 1990. Rode it the other day for the first time in years. Love the two songs from RAD! :-)
Wow I so miss the 1980s , beautiful bike actually they all were.. Haro, GT Skyway Redline Mongose ..
Wicked Collection.
I just bought the 2 Reissues Mint out of the Box. They were at Guys Bikes where I go. They were originally 1200 each. They went down the 900 each I got both for 1500 cash.
My three sons are not allowed to touch them ha
Thank you much! You definitely got a sweet deal on some really quality bikes. I’ve got mine put away in their own room, but they’re all gonna get some rash on them for sure.
Layne Scott hi layne my name is Lorenzo im interested in purchasing one of these bikes just wondering if you had info on were I could pic one up at or if you were willing to sell one of yours please let me know thanks...
I have an old school redline and gt performer and my son constantly asking me if he could ride my bikes hell I dont even ride my bikes, so I bought his own haro, so he could leave me alone.
Jselect 😂😂😂 I’m like I love you son but no not these bikes
@@jselect7502 I have an all original Mongoose with Moto Mags, original down to the blue tires, seat, and stickers haven't been ridden since 1983.
I'm 50 year's old and I still ride. I got the 1984 red line rl-20ll Prostyler
I'm 45 and I just told my wife I want a haro for Christmas and if I don't get it then I'm getting a divorce. I'm ready to ride again
I sorely miss my RL .. sweetest ride I had back then
Redline I thought was the coolest, and I never saw one in person except for shops
This has to be the most beautiful and elegant freestyle bike ever made. Back in the 90s I didn’t know what real envy was until a kid in the town got a Haro Team Master. 80s / 90s bikes design was awesome. Today’s bikes are functional but horribly looking. Glad to see this baby revived...
That’s what I was thinking.. like I want to get another bike to start riding and exercise and maybe see if I can still do a little something something but all these new bikes are so ugly.. makes me not even want to buy one lol I miss my chromed out Haro and my solid yellow trek with the red hubs and my homeboys diamondback reactor.. and my other homeboys free agent Flying Fortress and his redlines and dynos... sweet looking bikes when I was getting down
@@stillamitchinmybook6320 Agree on the newer bikes. No soul. Some 80's bikes were gimicky and awful, some were functional, beautiful, and timeless. The Master is one of the best. I have several lineage masters and they are made to be ridden. I highly recommend one if you're still looking around at bikes.
@@stillamitchinmybook6320 it depends on how you put that new bike together, I have seen some beautiful new bikes like logan martins all chrome build that is one of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen.
@@kenevans7286 if you can find one. They're going for crazy money right now on the used/private market. I'm going to be keeping an eye on Haro to release next year's models.
@@kenevans7286 Best bike I owned was a 96 Dyno Slammer that was Awesome...
i rode a pro performer back in the 80's but i can without a doubt say that the early masters will always be the best freestyle bike ever made.
This brought me to tears. I got into trouble as a young teen for stealing bikes and to get me to stop my grandma bought me an 88 HaroMaster Freestyle. It was black and beat up but $50 and it was mine.....over the next 23 years it was stolen three times and I got it back each time. The fourth time, I have t seen it since. I miss my bike so much and still look for it. It’ll come back.
Sent me right back, best time to grow up .. Cheers
The HOLY GRAIL of 80's bikes. that the Hutch and the RedlineRL20
Ok guys let's build a time machine and go home , is anybody down for that ???
I’m there
Build it and I’ll buy a 1st class ticket dawg. Real talk.
I thank the lord all the time for blessing me with the 80s and 90s
Im there to snatch a 87 pro freestyle tour team and dyno pro compe team in every color
Sounds Rad 2 Me !!
47 this year, I've had hip resurface surgery, numerous broken bones , and I'm still riding, I have a custom Dave mirra tribute, and a complete original Hoffman evel Knievel in white.
the torker/Bob haro relationship went together like peanutbutter and jelly ,, those 87-88s w the polished 990s and peregrine components took the market by storm. they even cut back manufacture cost in 88.5 after finding out it was costing too much to even sell em this way. well for the record I gotta 88 , and don't think I'll ever let it go. I love just staring at it.
This video caused 32 year old emotions to bubble up. This era of Haro was a thing of unmatched beauty. And then Ozone hit the scene. I still have a pavlovian response to chrome because of it.
I'm 46 years old with a bad back, I still wanna ride flatland on that bike. Nice music, it's a pretty rad song!🤙
The GT's in the mid 80s were the beginning for me....they were the hotrods for the boulevard cruising but with the Master I had at the end of the 80s and early 90s my training got very serious.
Love the 80s music, that was the best time to be a young boy
Wow, bring back the 80S. I had that gorgeous black one for a while, swapped for a CW shaker. Later found out the HARO was stolen and was actually belonged to the amazing flatland guy that did the coka cola adverts at the end where he did a tail whip. Anyway , I was gutted to realise it was stolen as that bike was amazing. Always wanted one of my own , the ultimate freestyle bike. You have an amazing collection 😇
Yes!!! I owned the aqua coloured one! Complete with Shimano DX pedals in gold. Man I’m about to cry.
The Beautiful days of Life in the 80s and 90s. Freestyle days gone but Never forgotten!! Life was was Awesome!! Going up
The Memories and the scars.. lol
Yeah man! Some of the best memories and most meaningful scars if I may say.
Wouldn’t trade the scars for the world
I had an MCS Styler back in the 80s But always loved the Haro Master more. That Teal Blue one is WICKED!!!! dam I wish I had that one now!!!! Keep her next to me in the Master Bed room for sure! :) AMAZING!!!!
Yes sir! MCD Styler is an awesome bike! These do stay in the house but they sure do get ridden. Sucks I can only ride on bike at a time lol
I bought my son a Haro a month ago and had to explain to him you have an awesome bike he just lol at me.
Simply amazing. Love the nostalgia I get from these old bikes.
Haro in '88 was the icing on the cake of 1980's freestyle bikes. The Team Master and Sport bikes are works of art - pure asthetic perfection I.M.O.
Thanks for posting.
I have an original ‘85 and a repop ‘86, but I believe that the ‘88 Haro Master is the best freestyle bike ever made.
I feel very privileged to have owned an original 88 Master (in black) back when I was just a kid. Worst regret was not keeping it after I “grew up.”
I just picked up a 2018 master in black because of this video. Thanks for the inspiration!
I used to own a Haro SPORT back in early 90s It was a green glowing colol and they are hard to find right now I bought it with so much effort myself cause my parents didn’t have money 💴 I’m 43 in 2020 nice memories nice video ! ❤️
Loveeeeeeeeeeeeee:) I grew up with the Haro sport in 1988 in Sarasota, Florida. And so I have the 2018 re-release sport still in the box:)
Video brings me right back to walking into Jersey Cycles back in the 80's. I couldn't afford a Haro back then...making up for that now!
I owned the original '88 Team Master. I wanted a Haro for years. My father assured me that if I kept my grades up, that he would one day buy me the bike I wanted. It was 1990 and I was in the 6th grade. He took me to a bike shop in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. So many beautiful bikes, but I knew what I wanted. For years I thought I had a 1990 Master. But it wasn't. It was the beautiful, teal 1988 Team Master. I'm pretty sure he spent around $500 for it. Hefty price tag for 1990. Was a prized possession of mine for many years. Wish I still had it. Regret allowing it to get away from me to this day.
Lots of money in the collection, awesome i love every bike there! i got a few of my own from the 80's.
I need to get one of these! The first one was exactly what I had without the grip tape on the frame though. I hope someone's doing this in Australia, one thing about getting old, price isn't a factor. When I was a kid I sold my dirt bike to buy a Haro - it was worth it!
Its easy to put the griptape , the use mosly black . But for a showe bike also nice use different colours.
Did you bought oké?
Great vid, I'm tearing up 😢
Thank you very much!
Work's of art!
Pleased they're ridden, and not just show pieces. 🤙
I'm 52 and back in the day my friend had a Haro Sport,, now I want one so bad !! 😢
Amazing collection. I would love to have a GT again to run at a track like I did as a kid. It might have to wait until I’m retired and have the time and space. They might cost a fortune by that time though.. Rad will always be the best of all time for me!
Very nice collection. I to suffer from Haro Fever. Building my first Haro now, 87 invert.
My dad told me having one of this unique bikes in the 90's kicked ass, no wonder, first take a look at all the details and shape in this bike, being a freestyler must be a whole experience.
The kind of bike I don't wanna get scratched. No BMX mode. What a classic!
Brings back a lot of great memories as a kid love it !!!
I see what you did there with the song from the movie RAD 👌🏾
What a great time and super bike. I self owned a Haro Team Sport. Great brand, timeless models
80's freestyle bikes are just a work of art,no wonder ive loved them more than my bmx's my whole life
beyond a piece of art my friend beautiful
Got the Haro Master frame on order...going back in time gentlemen. I'll be freestyling this Summer, just like in the 80's! 🚲🤘
Where did you find one in stock?
@@bullitt813 Invoice says Inky's Cycle Inc. El Cajon, California... ordered the Master, but they only had the '88 Team Sport model left. Grabbed it ..this was back in like March
@@anthonymontana6307 Man that's awesome! Congrats!
Well done ! What a 1988 super vintage haro master bmx !!!! Bring back old memories!!!!
So much sexiness in 7 minutes. Great shots and soundtrack! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
These bike are wayyyy before their times!!! #rad🤙🏾
Most beautiful bike ever!!
The quality on the new bike is much better then the original I have both at least these brakes stop
Now these are truly the best freestyle bikes ever:) I got one of these, and also had one of these.....in 1988:)
Loved Lori Loughlin in RAD.
Nice ! This song was in the movie RAD
Those 80s freestyle bikes were classics.
You should take a few and display them at local car show., people would love to see memory lane.🙄😀😀
WOW, some seriously beautiful Bikes you have!!!!! ;)
I think you may have a Haro freestyle obsession. Very cool
I always wanted a Haro. I had a Mongoose California and a Decade back in the day
I had an 88 Turquoise/Mint Master. In 1992 we rode them to the Mall. Chained them up. Grabbed a slice of pizza…came back out saw two guys throwing them in the back of a Pick up (blue F150) did a police report and everything…. Never herd a word again. They got 6 bikes. We were like 20. Took our old bike out on a sunny day cause we never ride anymore….Gone! I still blame my friend Chad it was his idea to go for a Cruze!! Luckily I still have my 1984 Schwinn predator and a 1988 Redline to this DAY!!
Crazy how almost everyone's BMX story back in the day ends with their bikes being stolen, like what happened to me!
Love this bike, I miss it so much, the frame is a work of art 👌👍
If I did not have life changing permanent injuries. I would love to get a haro master and ride again. I used to compete with a hutch trickstar, MCS styler and my last bike was a redline but I always had the haro master in mind with riding with some of the teams experts back in the day.
Used to have a fluorescent orange Haro freestyler with white mags badass bike and I miss it bad
They finally released the RAD movie on DVD.
Dude... freaking sweet....I always wanted one of those......Love the music......RAD.
Go Haro. Ol'scool. 1984 grad.
God I loved my haro masters.Even though all 3 cracked the same place all of them cracked.
The old seatpost plate? The Haros look super nice but they didnt have the strength of the GT Pro Performer/Pro Freestyle Tour bikes of that era. I'd hang them on a wall as art but I'd never ride one again ha ha.
@@theshamanarchist5441 all they had to do to stop the cracking was weld both the top and bottom of plate. The new masters its a piece of ovaled tubing in that spot that is welded all the way around top and bottom.
@@lawrencecarpenter638 that's much better. I'm liking the look of the new 2021 Groundmaster bikes. I hope they sell the frames separately so that I can build one up to ride using a mixture of my own old-skool/new-skool parts? The mint '88 Team Master was on another level back in the day. Sweet dude.
Teal Master is the ultimate dream bike...!
I especially like the RAD music in the background
Beautiful collection.
This is dope! I wish i could go there to meet u guys.
😍🥰 Yooooo. That first one!!! The only thing I would do to it is buy a new decal set from Haro and fix that bottom tube and swap out the pedals.
When I was a kid ( born 1980 ) at High school every now and then there would be a swarm of students at the end of day bell time around the round the bike racks. Thought ! Cool there's a fight on !
No. It was usually the slightly nerdy kid trying to get home with his brand new Haro.
I love these bikes qhen i was 12 in 95 my dad got me a 85 california mongoose a friends fon had raced n it was sll origional like brand knew hevraced it twice n hung it up it had the rims with the gold aluminum things that protect the spokes from goin thru tubes n now they use rubber bands this bike was the looptail i loved that bike n i had two bikes so i let my glbest friend borrow it told him please take it inside at nite n he stuck it on his porch n it hot stolen i still cry im tearing up now thi king about my bike it got all the origionalnparts were taken off i hit bike back in pieces n not right ones im literally cryingvthinking bout this bike thats how muchbit ment to ne i shouldve never let anyone borrow it i still would have it.
I had something similar happen just to find out that the person I lend it to lied and actually hid it. I'm sorry about your loss! That sucks.
Awesome builds! A Turquoise 2018 Master is my current ramp bike. The 2017 Red Flatland Master is my flatland bike. I have a lot of the other Lineage Haros also in my stable! Great video guys!
Brother I really appreciate it! I’ve seen them and you have a great ramp setup too! Much respect 👍🏻
@@northeastmotorco cool thanks. Subscribed!
I had one I custom built back in 1992!!......

Nice collection there buddy.I wish had a few like them.....Lol
Love my GT performer but DAM those Haro’s are FIRE!!!
A true work of art.
Some one love the movie "Rad" my era..me too! Lol
Sweeeeet rides, very nice 👍
Nice! Hey, that bike looks familiar! So Rad
Send me a Haro, right now.
OMG ...so clean. The one BMX I wanted as a kid but could never afford. Are they for sale? The Movie Rad is opening in Theatres this Thursday, Oct 14, 2021. (one day only) for the first time ever in HD to celebrate the 35th anniversary.
I ran a handler seat on my Mike Dominguez Diamondback
Should've collected the haros, skyway, and pk rippers that my friends got rid of. Those bikes were sweet.
Originally the master came with Perigrine three piece cranks. The spindles always failed. Beautiful bikes bro
I don't know what to say. My mouths been hanging open for 30 seconds, my eyes are watering...like seeing a super hot girl and winning the lottery all in one..but this is so much better. My god. and the soundtrack....It's.... glorious. - I'll never forget you.
(I've played this 4x in a row...I can't believe how perfect it is. Damn dude. I have an all orig. mint 88 Pro Performer, Blue, white mags, fold down fronts, rear stands...it's perfect....But this is a whole other level. Nice work guys)
I'm in awe
That's a lot of money sitting right there!!
I ride BMX in the early 80's Haro Freestyler was my Dreambike i never get one because it was to expensive😭 i buy me one right now if i get an old one from the 80's and putt it in my Livingroom😂
Scott-Mathauser pads on chrome HP 48's? Nice. I bet they stop on a dime.
Back in ´89 when I had the Team Master with bashguard, I wanted all the Haros. I was good at riding but were not able to buy them... Now, I have 2 Lineage, Sport & Master, and some RLs... I can have the bikes I want, but now I can´t ride as I used to, due to a car accident....
