Almost everything in this video said to be fake is fake except for that white haro. In 1984 there was a break between second and third generation Haro where the first part of 1984 Haro had some frames made in Taiwan, not by Torker that were produced without serial numbers and without the Chevron stamps. All 3rd generation 1984 Haro frames were stamped with the Chevron, but not prior to. So that white frame in this video said to be fake, is not. It is in fact a Taiwan made second generation haro master.

The '84 Haro Master frameset in the video is a Velo 2000 freestyler, which was made by the French Haro, Hutch and GT importer under official licence from Haro, back in the day. That is why is looks very similar to a Gen 2 or Gen 3 Torker or Anlun made '84 Haro Master. However, it is heavier and appears to be made out of hi-tensile steel tubing and not chromoly tubing. It did have Haro Master decals on it, as pictured, but it was not advertised by the seller as an original Haro frameset and I bought it knowing exactly what I was buying, as I have other Velo 2000 frames and wanted to add this one to my oldschool collection. It's not a Haro, but it's still a really nice frameset.🙂

I used to have a Hutch Cruiser with Redline flight cranks, even had the banned Hitch pedals (vicious). It had a titanium bottom bracket. I sold that bike in 1989 for 100 dollars. 🤦‍♂️

I have the Gary fisher airbob in blue and white , completely stock , I bought it brand new and shortly after I bought it the guy in the bike shop told me how someone had ordered a Hoffman evel keniebel in white , they paid for it in full around 8 months before it arrived in the UK , upon its arrival the shop contacted him and he said he no longer wanted it as he had broken his arm and leg learning to ride BMX and it put him off for good .
The shop owner said " he wants to sell it , are you interested "
Bare in mind it was a £900.00 back in 95 ( I think that was the year ) .
I told them how I'd spent £449.99 on the Gary fisher I'd just bought from them so I could t really afford it ( I was 19 or 20 ) , I then said , would you mind saving it if I pay weekly instalments on it ( I lived in the flat next door to the bike shop and they knew me and all my extended family as we all lived on the same street as the shop or just around the corner )
He said yes and went into the back and came out with the bike , he said just take it now it gets it out if our way, I was ecstatic , I adjusted things on the bike and went to the dirt jumps the same day , that bike was so heavy and the weight of it actually forced me to get better at riding , I had to pedal faster ,pull harder etc etc , I think the bike weighs in at 45 pounds ( or more ) mine ended up heavier because I added a 990 mount and brake to the forks , I road it into the ground , one of the best bikes ever , Hoffman BMX bikes that were made in the USA were unbeatable .

I don’t necessarily agree. I like that new people come into our hobby. It’s about knowing they exist and researching what you buy.
