*I Miss 1986-90 SO PHUCKING MUCH!* REAL Mall Arcade's w/Pizza, the Music #Cinderella, my ButterFly Knife, All my OP clothes. Man... Tom Cruise here in the RedTee KICKED ASS!
nice i am one year older than you and i love rad. i make tons of of bmx videos still every week and do tons of tricks in my flatland videos and i did a fun rad tribute video today and i have done others. i love it. i wore a rad tshirt my brother got me in my video i made today. if you love rad you would like it i bet.
Unreal. I think RAD was the only movie that I watched more than Top Gun as a kid. Just watched it for the first time in probably 20 years and knew every word line for line. LOL
I loved that movie as well! I also remember watching a break dancing movie with a character named bazooka, can't recall the name...that movie, top gun, GI Joe and Karate Kid
My dad did this when he was younger, I'm 20 now and bought my first BMX Bike myself. I have put almost 300+ USD into it just for some parts where I can do Flatland, I have gotten this one trick down, ⅔ of the way at least, I just need my gyro to complete the trick 😂
These guys's performance moved me to tears. Reminded me of the time when I had seen the film RAD and how the film inspired me to pick up a BMX and try out all the stunts. The movie still plays on my mind and reminds of my childhood. Those were the days when having a BMX bike was the greatest thing on the world. All in all an awesome performance.
i know right. these guys inspired me to be a bmxer. and i am 46 and still throwing tailwhips and more. i made a rad tribute video on my page and the official rad movie fb featured it. i redid the intro to rad with the music doing all kinds of old tricks. these guys inspired me.
Goose bumps! Im 42 and still loving bmx because of you guys. Long live RAD! I love you guys! To the cast and crew who made this film. I love you! Keep safe and stay healthy.
This year is the 35th anniversary of RAD and its playing in theatres across the country this Thursday. Guess who's going to the showing? This just turned 47 year old kid! Fk, I'm stoked!!! One of my favorite movies from my childhood and of all time! ✌🏾
This movie, and Commando, I can recite word for word to this day . . . LITERALLY! Holy Hell. How many of us in here would watch this movie then go straight outside and hop on the bike; come back in and watch RAD again, go back outside ride the bike again? Many of summer days spent in that perpetual loop
The RAD BMX freestyle movement continues in South Bend, Indiana, at a training indoor park called The Kitchen BMX Skatepark. It is an incredible indoor BMX dream with 33,000 plus square feet area of ramps, jumps, and foam pit to practice extreme aerials and flips. You have to go there and see it to believe it. This movie inspired thousands into the sport and it is a 2020 Olympic event in Japan now.
I freaking loved this! I was 16 when this movie came out and it blew me away. Kids today don't realize how cush their lives are compared to when I was a teen. So when a movie came out like this for us to see. It was epic! I so want Rad to be on a DVD!
These two guys gave me inspiration to freestyle in the 80's. Now I enjoy mountain biking in my later years, but I still pull off a trick or two from that era and impress my friends. What a great time to be a teen. They will always be my first biking idols.
it got a 4k release but it sold out quickly. You can find it on ebay for 200+ now. It is from a company called Vinegar Syndrome, most people have never heard of this company since they release mostly B movies. some people thought it was a fake release
Me and my friends got hooked on bmx after watching rad,we even build a huge quarter pipe in high-school wood shop as a project and we all got alot of road rash from that thing over the next few months till we got better
I met most of these guy in 87 at the a.f.a.in Galveston tx. The are the coolest guys on the planet. I was 17 now I'm 54 and still here from some of these guys!!! I want too say thank you for my bmx life!!!
I just got to meet Eddie here in Vegas on the 20th..was many years in the making but I finally got to see him..we talked A LOT..he told some stories, we all watched RAD and he explained things that were going on..I got to ride HIS bike, we had a great time. My 1st experience meeting any pro and I have to say I was blown away..he didnt ride MUCH as he just had hip surgery a few weeks ago..LOVE 80s and oldschool ROCKS!!!!
This movie was the best back in the day. We would watch it, and then go out and try to do the same tricks. I forced my 3 kids to watch it a couple years ago on Father's Day, and they actually loved it!
I agree with a previous comment-this movie completely changed my life. At 12 years old I knew this was what I would do and give it my all. Now 26 years later I'm so proud of what I've done. Still ride--more cautious, but this movie was the genesis of my identity.
I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie Fiola for a whole weekend when I was 16 & I have to say he’s one of the funniest guys I ever met , I was sitting next to him on his right side when a friend of mine had a stun gun , Eddie asked him to see it , he took it & zapped his own leg with it & was like ok that’s enough . I was like your crazy I even got to ride with him that whole weekend . I was working for a bike shop that a friend worked for at the cavalcade of customs car show in Cincinnati Ohio , they needed help so I was there to sell stuff with them ,never got payed but had the greatest time of my life .
I still listen to "Break the Ice" by John Farnham while riding from time to time. So cool to see how so many of us express the same sentiments about these guys and the indelible mark the movie Rad has left in our hearts.
Amazing performances by both, I fell in love with the movie, the girl, the bikes, and the song all in one. I'm 42 and a GT Dyno back in my day. I could never perfect all the tricks.
Was my first movie that I fell in love with as a kid and now a grown man showing my daughters the film made me relive this yrs again. Thank you guys for the endless memories
52 years old in 2022 (will be 53 in November). Freestyling will always be a part of me. And these two guys (along with other pioneers like Woody, Mike, Ron, and then Dennis a little later) laid the blueprint for all of us. Eddie still smooth, and Martin still with that energy. I miss my tricked out Haro Sport and practicing tricks for hours until I nailed it. Great memories.
Just realized a week ago that Eddie Fiola made the stunt parts for Cru... how sad I always thought Cru was a biker, and Christian Hollings parts thought they were the only ones made by a stuntman... remember people used to say Aparijo did those parts 'cause you could see the funny wig... my favorite movie ever too, I always cry when music starts on the send me an angel part and the Thunder in your Heart part when Crue qualifies for the race... love this movie more than any other ever made
What ICONS! Love and miss this era so much! In the process of building a bike now! Can’t wait to break my neck trying the tricks I pulled off when I was a kid! 🤣🤣 Just keep the song playing .... just keep it playing.....
For some of us 40somethings, the memory of watching RAD as a kid brings back the wonder of growing up. Which makes watching this clip today weirdly emotional.
This movie is one of the best memories of my child hood and I still watch it a couple times a year and it always takes me back to the good old days. Great video
LOL! I am always telling my kids how there will never be another time like the 80s. in history no better era to have lived in as a young adult than the 1980s!!! I am so grateful for the experiences I lived through.
AWESOME STUFF!! They were my BMX heros growing up BITD! RL, BUff, Wilkerson, Tim Judge, Greg Hill!! Best parts of RAD are the begining and end with these guys. Watch the DVD probably once a month. Got back into BMX racing at 43 years old with my sons and currently building an 84 Hutch Pro Racer.
It brought My to tears these Guys where are Rock stars nothing like these two Legends I freakin hate getting old I have done great shit in My life but hands down I Respect ✊ these Guys ..!!!
I remember the days in the 90's watching this movie. going to all the nationals. watching my brother race bubba harris. man that kid had wheels. never thought he would grow up to be the best in the world at one point. ha love rad.
One of the best movies of the 80's and still one of the best to date. They just don't make movies like that anymore. Please officially put this on DVD.
Man this makes me wish my 87 Dyno wasn't in storage back in Kentucky with me all the way in Cali. Saw Rad when it first came out on video. And it's one of those movies that I'll always love to watch!
As a teenage this movie change my life and kept me out of trouble. From sun up to sun down I was on trying new tricks on my Mongoose Decade Pro. I'm now 38 and I plan on buying a Mongoose freestyle bike at Walmart soon. O what fond memories, I had in the 80's and early 90's. Until this day my nick name is Goose from the Mongoose Decade Pro I use to ride so much. Even some of my closest friend don't know my real name. lol
This is one of the rad'est things I've ever seen and the crowd is going nuts - just like they should be and you can see that the dudes (Eddie & Martin) love it! I wish l could have been here for this. I would have been the dude with tears of joy streaming down my face!!! 43 years old in 2Ol8 and still HUGE into bmx.
What a great movie.glad to see these guys still have it.i miss my powerlite from 20 years ago now more then ever.rebuilding a 20" haro now to give it a try again!!!!!
Kudos to Martin & Eddie- SOOOO many ppl don't hang onto the skills & things they did in the past, & turn into old people. Great that as we get older we can still show off the old school. Tricks are so much harder when the body gets old lol
I would love to go back in the eighties for a weekend what a great time to live

Unreal. I think RAD was the only movie that I watched more than Top Gun as a kid. Just watched it for the first time in probably 20 years and knew every word line for line. LOL
YESS!! I must've made my mom rent this at least 20 times from the Great Scott!
I loved that movie as well! I also remember watching a break dancing movie with a character named bazooka, can't recall the name...that movie, top gun, GI Joe and Karate Kid
Breakin' is what it was called Carlos. With Turbo.
Glad they never decided to remake the film, they would have butchered it.
packerd00 heard that they were remaking it..they're casting a African-American for the lead role..should be pretty dope
Is anyone else Impressed how they can still do these moves? And still flawless , respect
My dad did this when he was younger, I'm 20 now and bought my first BMX Bike myself. I have put almost 300+ USD into it just for some parts where I can do Flatland, I have gotten this one trick down, ⅔ of the way at least, I just need my gyro to complete the trick 😂
I think my dad is proud I am picking up where he left off pretty much. He was badass on a bike.
I'm 48 now and I am very blessed to be an 80's kid. Fun time, moments and memories. ❤🙂👍

Massive respect to both guys for still having the ability to ride like this at 40+!!

There's no real dvd release, just a bootleg ripped from the laser disc release. With a printed dvd sleeve. I saw it on a avgn video.
