@@Straight_White_Fatherly_Figure well i can imagine that, but its just funny that u said the one album that had no screaming lol. anyway, i didnt mean anything by it, just thought it was funny
@Ganymede yeah i may be thinking about waking the fallen or even Jimmy. Either way, the screaming reminds me of their older music (which i listen to probably 80% more often than their newer stuff)
This album…I’ve listened several times now. I am absolutely obsessed. I laughed, I cried, I had goosebumps, I rocked the fuck out….I got a tattoo (plastic daisy)…I got a speeding ticket…. Worth the wait WE LOVE YOU!!!
Yeah dude. This album came out at a very dark time in my life this year - dealing with death and loss. It'll always remind me of that, but it also helped me in a way. Stay strong ✌🏻
This at least makes 2 songs worth listening from the new album. I can't find any more which is keeping me from paying 40 bucks for the vinyl to only play 2 tracks.
This is absolutely the coolest music video I have EVER SEEN!!! This whole album is just so satisfying. Great job A7X! Y’all are gonna be in the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame next to Metallica one day for sure.
This song has definitely some unexpected twist and turns, love to be surprised when I listen to a track for the first time. They are continuing to explore some new territories while staying connected to their DNA. I really like this new one, the drum gives so much dynamics to the song, and that shift before the solo, what a fucking riff 🤘🏼🖤
Avenged Sevenfold you just keep being you. Every album makes me question it, deny it, start to crave it and then crazy ass bonkers over it. Please just keep making music!!! :)
For me, this song represents the duality between have everything and have nothing, and how everyone can switch between those two in a matter of seconds.
And they say he can't scream anymore. It's like a mix of Simulation but heavier. That ending was absolutely Tonight the world dies. His voice is absolutely amazing as always. This album is gonna be like no other and it's gonna be fucking awesome.
As a fan of A7X since Waking the Fallen, I hear echoes of every album in this song. Everyone interprets music differently, the way I see it, this is a love letter to hardcore fans as much as an art piece. It also highlights the madness of humanity, the drive to always want more, and more, eventually leading to the ultimate destruction of oneself and/or civilization.
Ohhh it was so good I need to use words I haven't used before. 😂 I see ppl using the words psychedelicore. I called it steelsoul after a metroidvania as a play on words for soul metal.
First introduction to the band. Wow, love the album. Crazy in so many cool and unexpected ways. Unreal musicality in such varied sounds and arrangements. Awesome. 👏
Ok, guys now you really surprised us...way better than the first single. And this interactive video is really cool. Shadows screamed again since the old days...I liked
I dig it. I’ve got zero fan entitlement, if I don’t like a band’s direction then I just say, “Hey, they tried something different but it’s not for me, maybe next time” and move on. But this gamble is paying off for me personally. It’s weird asf in a way that’s fun and engaging.
I feel exactly like u. At first, i was like « wtf », now, watching it again, im like « i like it » its interesting. Its gets away from the pop kinda song format where theres a verse, chorus, verse#2, chorus, bridge, Chorus….NO , they changed things up and i like it !!!! Way to go guys
You pretty much just hit how I feel about this song spot on. It's weird asf but definitely fun, and super creative. They're definitely pushing the envelope with what I've heard of this record thus far, and they are making it abundantly clear that they do not care if you don't like it.
Same here, I just started to listen to some of their albums last week because I've just heard great stuff about them, and for some reason I've been sceptical about them, probably because of the hype around them, which I have to say is well deserved, especially after this song. Ho-ly Shit.
I think this is one of those songs that grows on you. As a content creator and someone in an industry that just constantly demands MORE, this became more and more emotional as I listened. Bravo. 10/10
A7x is being futuristic. This band is one of a kind. They also way ahead from any other band. Good job a7x. Keep growing. And by the way. We love u the rev.
For some reason at 4:33 that gives me almost a nostalgic feeling or memory of like fall time or Halloween time, maybe it's just that classic godly Avenged sevenfold sound 🤷🏻♂️
2:30 - 2:50 : Those circle pits are gonna go WILD. I think the break after the Stage definitely helped Matt's voice. People were doubting him after Nobody released but this song proves he still has it 🔥🔥🔥
The "we love you" is what our overlords tell us while they squeeze us for every drop of energy and dollar they can get out of us to build their vision of the future
if you think about the whole lyrics, you'll see the "more x" and "build x", obviously relating to the higher ups. they love the consumer. "youre one in a million" is a way to say youre special, which the higher ups could say to coerce you into actually thinking that, meanwhile they just want your money for power etc.
The lyrics: [Intro] There you are, you've come so far Sunny days, the air tastes so sweet, flowers greet Birds will sing "You mean everything" You can be anything [Refrain] More power More pace More money More taste More sex More pills More skin More shills Build tall Build higher Build far Build wider Build here Build down Build up Build now [Chorus] Well, look at the way you go You're one in a million And you know it shows And we love you Unto the mud [Refrain] More wants More needs More hits Morphine More speed More drive More self More time Build out Build fast Build strong Build vast Build too Build more Build all Build war [Chorus] Look at the way you go You're one in a million And you know it shows And we love you Do unto the mud Mud [Verse 1] Race to scale the body stack Lay foot to face atop broken back A failure here is a failure earned So do unto the top Do unto the end Do unto the mud Do [Refrain] More power More pace More money More taste More sex More pills More skin More shills More wants More needs More hits Morphine More speed More drive More self More time Build tall Build higher Build far Build wider Build here Build down Build up Build now Build out Build fast Build strong Build vast Build, build Build, build Build, build Build, build [Verse 2] Look at the way you go You're one in a million And you know it shows And we love you Look at the way that you choose You know you'll never lose And all that you are It was all you deserved anyway Sunny days [Outro] And we love you And we love you And we love you
Thank you for this: There are parts I couldn't understand, it makes even more sense now. I know they meant one of two things but not which: Either ironically how the consumption based system loves its slob consumers, or how the gods would still love the people of this world despite all the shit they died doing until the end... the ending makes me think it mean the later, fun to toy with either interpretation.
So much diversity makes you one of the greatest bands of all time. Never afraid to try new sounds and not just put out the typical, same music style every album like many bands do. Keep being yourselves and being original! We Love You!❤. See you in September!!!!🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶
They’re definitely pushing their fans into a new experience, first listen I knew it’d have to grow on me like the other single did. Put it on repeat in my car this morning on the way to work, cranked the volume, and now I get it. Once you’ve listened a few times at a higher volume with decent speakers you’ll get it. I can tell they like mr bungle, dmt, and rnb, the transitions are soaked with rnb roots. I dig it, and have a feeling the album will be as well written as the stage.
@@Chrishrv the stage wasn't bad, though i do get where you are coming from it took me an extra or two listen to warm up to it myself. i agree this album is definitely gonna be very experimental and probably won't make most old school fans happy but if this is where they want to take their sound then i say they should go for it. it isn't exactly my taste either but i mean all the people in the comments seem to like it so maybe it'll be their new best seller.
I can't stop listening to this song, it's a complete adventure. I can feel the Mr Bungle influence here, it doesn't sound like Mr Bungle but definitely this is the legacy they bring to music
I'm not hating on this one, atleast they arent shy of showing their Bungle inspiration, however there's a band who did this kind of stuff better and that's Dog Fashion Disco. If you heard Dog fashion Disco you can tell they did the bungle sound right.
This is an incredible ride and experience through what could possibly be humanity's dark future. You really captured in a song and video how humanity makes me feel. I love at the end how nature takes over again and the Earth heals after most of us are gone. Beautiful and dark! Well done! I cannot wait for this record to come out!!! ❤❤
No the fuck it ain't. Matt's vocals have fallen off so hard the last 2 albums. And I'm a big fucking fan of his I have his portrait tattooed on my arm. This is just disappointing.
Lyrical masterpiece. Love how the video is best experienced in VR. Trully reflects how they want us to put blinds on our eyes, while saying "We Love You"
unreal, both the song & video you guys always pushing boundaries, some of the last artists who care about their art in this modern world, where everyone else takes the easy route, you guys take the risks, brave as fuck love you guys, we, fans, we love you. and thank you for all that you've given us.
@Shiny Eevee it makes sense to me, I just listened to the new album and personally I'm not a fan but dosnt make there other stuff any less awesome, it's good to see they are still writing whatever they like and being weird, it's what I like about them.
When I first listened to the song I was kinda confused and did not not what to think, but now with the video it makes so much sense and I think they are right, that you have to experience the whole album in its entirety. And as soon as I will it will probably be one of the greatest piece of arts in music ever made. Probably not the greatest songs, but the greatest concept and art.
this song is one of those type who will grew on you when you give it another chance. i see a loott of people hate it the first time they hear it but then the second or third listen, they changed their mind. two of my friends are just like you 😂
This is so different, but fucking awesome in its own way. I do feel like I missed out by not having a VR headset though, I can imagine how intense this would be if your first experience with this song was in VR
Really guys? How am I supposed to get to sleep if I can't stop listening to this song. My wife and I have been getting into A7X like the old days and I just feel unworthy of this song. I'm so engrossed. Can't wait to see this live. ❤
Probably the best song off of this brilliant album. I think it’s about unhealthy expectations and corruption of a product, property, or franchise and the people who made it by a company or fans. Like, when they say “Your one in a million and you know, it shows we love you.”, it’s basically the company and fans saying, ‘we like what you produce’, but then tell them, ‘more power, more pace, build tall, build higher, etc.’, telling them to ‘do better’ with unrealistic expectations towards a product rather than a group of people. Even though the lyrics in between the chorus ‘The ‘more and build stuff’’ may not be everybody’s cup of tea, I think it’s brilliant and probably one of the most creative uses of ‘non’-sounding lyrics I’ve ever seen. Like, when you sing those lyrics you realize ‘Wait, I’m a fan and am saying what the *company* would say to them’. I think it’s smart. It’s overall an amazing song. The distortion at the start shows not only the sheer craziness of it all, but also the façade people would take to lull creators of such thing like music into a false sense of security, that they actually respect them, only to say, ‘ A failure here is a failure earned’, that when those expectations aren’t fulfilled, they’ll be considered a failure and tossed aside, only to be replaced by one who becomes a slave to those said expectations. The end is a bit beautiful. It sound like something from what the people who actually really love and care about this said brand or product and the people who made it, show that ‘We love you.’ Oh, and the synth passage is lit 🔥. 9-10/10 for me. Thanks for the great music guys!
When I first listened to this song I couldn't believe it was actually the song. I thought it was an edit of various songs on LIBAD. It's erratic. It's progressive. It's explosive. It's something I wasn't expecting from the band. But it's perfect. Thank you guys, glad you're back in such a great shape!
Lol totally, they have great influences in mr bungle and dream theater ... They've always stood out from the other mainstream metal bands in my eyes even since their second album

2:28 massive slayer vibes. G.O.D., I love this album
I felt like I just went through and heard all their albums in one sitting, insane mix altogether.
When i heard the screaming part i was like "damn i miss the city of evil days" lol
@@Straight_White_Fatherly_Figure matt screaming reminds u of city of evil?
@@Pasiphae the older albums i just named one 🤷🏼♂️
When it gets you at that time of your life.. ❤ 🦇
are you okay?
Yeah dude. This album came out at a very dark time in my life this year - dealing with death and loss. It'll always remind me of that, but it also helped me in a way. Stay strong ✌🏻
Cringe
lmao that ticket part is crazy what happened
Calm to heavy to chaos to heavy to calm. Amazing. Best band in the universe and metaverse now
*Ghost enters the chat*
That heavy riff is 🔥🔥🔥
Wasn't a fan at first but this song is hard! Avenged Sevenfold is a masterpiece band with some of the greatest musicians of our time!
Honestly true. Love them or hate them, talent is really undeniable at this point.
This at least makes 2 songs worth listening from the new album. I can't find any more which is keeping me from paying 40 bucks for the vinyl to only play 2 tracks.
😂😂
this is the crappiest lyrics ive ever heard
Yeah this song grew on me. Now I love it
This is absolutely the coolest music video I have EVER SEEN!!! This whole album is just so satisfying. Great job A7X! Y’all are gonna be in the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame next to Metallica one day for sure.
Everytime i hear again the songs of this album i find more and more amazing things in the musics. One of the best Avenged albuns.
Perfect way to describe it as a fan for 15 or so years
For me, this song represents the duality between have everything and have nothing, and how everyone can switch between those two in a matter of seconds.
They go into experimental, amazing. I think their upcoming album would be a concept album.
god i hope not
Holy shit what and experience!
From seeing them in 2004 with 100 people to what they’ve grown into. Still one of the best bands working.
i dont that only 100
Avenged is on a different plane of existence at this point. What do they know lol either way I love this and I’m so excited for the full release!
And they say he can't scream anymore. It's like a mix of Simulation but heavier. That ending was absolutely Tonight the world dies.
His voice is absolutely amazing as always. This album is gonna be like no other and it's gonna be fucking awesome.
The ending kinda reminded me of “Pillow of Winds” from Pink Floyd. Definitely see what you’re talking about
@@JackDiamond_FBOW sooo good bro. I can't wait for this album. I definitely hear pink floyd.
The ending reminds of Dear God from self titled
@@cerrygevans2485 yeah I see it
I hear a lot of pink Floyd and a little white album too
This is why they are still one of the best out now. Their artistry is dope and super uncanny!
I seriously love this song and I cannot explain why. It's just so beautiful
As a fan of A7X since Waking the Fallen, I hear echoes of every album in this song. Everyone interprets music differently, the way I see it, this is a love letter to hardcore fans as much as an art piece. It also highlights the madness of humanity, the drive to always want more, and more, eventually leading to the ultimate destruction of oneself and/or civilization.
totally
Ohhh it was so good I need to use words I haven't used before. 😂
I see ppl using the words psychedelicore. I called it steelsoul after a metroidvania as a play on words for soul metal.
Tons of hip hop and punk in this song. And the chorus melody hits.
God I wish I could have this type of vision about a song! Well done!!

First introduction to the band. Wow, love the album. Crazy in so many cool and unexpected ways. Unreal musicality in such varied sounds and arrangements. Awesome. 👏
Beast and the Harlot, Shepherd of Fire... try those a few times.
Also give the Nightmare album a listen. That whole entire album is a banger. Self Titled album is great as well
Man this album is going to take you everywhere holy shit an I like the harder vocals added to this
This song has a sleep token transition vibe
This is my new favorite song. Nobody is so freaking good. I am SO stoked for Life Is But A Dream.
This song is trash lol
Ok, guys now you really surprised us...way better than the first single.
And this interactive video is really cool.
Shadows screamed again since the old days...I liked
That slide guitar is so Harrison, what an amazing track this is.
no vicki that is a guitar
This is actually so immersive. A7X don't just write music, they write music with visuals, and they do it very well. Good job this is crazy
I dig it. I’ve got zero fan entitlement, if I don’t like a band’s direction then I just say, “Hey, they tried something different but it’s not for me, maybe next time” and move on. But this gamble is paying off for me personally. It’s weird asf in a way that’s fun and engaging.
The world needs more people like you
I feel exactly like u.
Ho-ly Shit.
Hey, they tried something different but it’s not for me
I think this is one of those songs that grows on you. As a content creator and someone in an industry that just constantly demands MORE, this became more and more emotional as I listened. Bravo. 10/10
The addiction of attention
💀💀💀💀💀💀
Yeah when i first heard it, i couldnt get through the first minute. I gave it a chance later and listened to the whole thing.. wow!
A7x is being futuristic. This band is one of a kind. They also way ahead from any other band. Good job a7x. Keep growing. And by the way. We love u the rev.
^🖤^ Best band in my book. Love foREVer, and always. ^🖤^
@@SevenfoldKiddi agree. Many of them hate libad
People were doubting him after Nobody released but this song proves he still has it 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds like a thrash metal 😳😍
Nah mosh pits are dead 💀
Hope so, people always react to new song like shit during concerts
I wanted to start one in my house when I heard it. This song is something else
@@koralmn3837you wish other artists could release real art
I love you Avenged Sevenfold ❤️
Just when I thought A7X had peaked an album or two back, here they are. I think they're about to BLOW UP THE SCENE. Again
they did peak an album or two back
Dude the title of the song makes total sense 'cause as a fan i felt the love they have towards us with this track and this is absolutely dope
The lyrics:
[Intro] There you are, you've come so far
Sunny days, the air tastes so sweet, flowers greet
Birds will sing "You mean everything"
You can be anything
[Refrain]
More power
More pace
More money
More taste
More sex
More pills
More skin
More shills
Build tall
Build higher
Build far
Build wider
Build here
Build down
Build up
Build now
[Chorus]
Well, look at the way you go
You're one in a million
And you know it shows
And we love you
Unto the mud
[Refrain]
More wants
More needs
More hits
Morphine
More speed
More drive
More self
More time
Build out
Build fast
Build strong
Build vast
Build too
Build more
Build all
Build war
[Chorus]
Look at the way you go
You're one in a million
And you know it shows
And we love you
Do unto the mud
Mud
[Verse 1]
Race to scale the body stack
Lay foot to face atop broken back
A failure here is a failure earned
So do unto the top
Do unto the end
Do unto the mud
Do
[Refrain]
More power
More pace
More money
More taste
More sex
More pills
More skin
More shills
More wants
More needs
More hits
Morphine
More speed
More drive
More self
More time
Build tall
Build higher
Build far
Build wider
Build here
Build down
Build up
Build now
Build out
Build fast
Build strong
Build vast
Build, build
Build, build
Build, build
Build, build
[Verse 2]
Look at the way you go
You're one in a million
And you know it shows
And we love you
Look at the way that you choose
You know you'll never lose
And all that you are
It was all you deserved anyway
Sunny days
[Outro]
And we love you
And we love you
And we love you
Great work
Thank you for this: There are parts I couldn't understand, it makes even more sense now. I know they meant one of two things but not which: Either ironically how the consumption based system loves its slob consumers, or how the gods would still love the people of this world despite all the shit they died doing until the end... the ending makes me think it mean the later, fun to toy with either interpretation.
amazing
This riff reminds of Rammstein like. I live for it!

I dig it, and have a feeling the album will be as well written as the stage.
you will? I get why this happened with Nobody, but this one hit me with the first listen. It is chaotically amazing
Both of the released songs have grown on me with each listen so far.. theyve tapped into something interesting here and im all for it
The stage was already a weird album but this one is going to surpass it
The word you're looking for is progressive mate...
Weird and bad*
@@Chrishrv Not unusual for people to dislike progressive music.
Don't listen to Haken.
@@empyrean-jamelgreaves8034 I'd say The Stage was pretty progressive. This feels more avant-garde. It's kind of disjointed and awkward.
Expect the unexpected!
Hell ya!!!!! Avenged Sevenfold is back!!!! Can’t wait for the new album to drop!!!!! 😆😆😆😆
This song f---in' blew my mind! Way to go A7X!!!
The amount of work going into these songs is insane

I can't stop listening to this song, it's a complete adventure.
I can feel the Mr Bungle influence here, it doesn't sound like Mr Bungle but definitely this is the legacy they bring to music
I'm not hating on this one, atleast they arent shy of showing their Bungle inspiration, however there's a band who did this kind of stuff better and that's Dog Fashion Disco. If you heard Dog fashion Disco you can tell they did the bungle sound right.

I was missing this beautiful voice, waiting for a new Song ❤❤
Show demais, amei a experiência, e a música é ótima. 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Although I don’t think anything will top The Stage, this album is also a masterpiece
Sounds more refined even than the stage, but idk the production is a bit bad thats the only bad thing about it
The Stage is 100% their best album. The one where they matured their sound and lyricism.
They topped it with the new album
This is an incredible ride and experience through what could possibly be humanity's dark future. You really captured in a song and video how humanity makes me feel. I love at the end how nature takes over again and the Earth heals after most of us are gone. Beautiful and dark! Well done! I cannot wait for this record to come out!!! ❤❤

fym "dark"?
Really over-analysing there, in reality its just a shitty song, vocals are absolutely fried😪
@@chlaco2005 Yea dark! Humanity gets almost completely wiped out in this video. Were we watching the same video??
You should try it in VR, its amazing!!!! You are transported straight into his gf's anus during the end times.

No the fuck it ain't. Matt's vocals have fallen off so hard the last 2 albums. And I'm a big fucking fan of his I have his portrait tattooed on my arm. This is just disappointing.
They experiment with new sounds followed some old roots and a nod to fans that understand the wider version. True artists in my opinion
Lyrical masterpiece. Love how the video is best experienced in VR. Trully reflects how they want us to put blinds on our eyes, while saying "We Love You"
really? you really experienced this in VR? Bwahahahahhaa

@Shiny Eevee it makes sense to me, I just listened to the new album and personally I'm not a fan but dosnt make there other stuff any less awesome, it's good to see they are still writing whatever they like and being weird, it's what I like about them.

MASTERPIECE dont know what to say... you guys surpass yourself
might be the worst song of the decade
When I first listened to the song I was kinda confused and did not not what to think, but now with the video it makes so much sense and I think they are right, that you have to experience the whole album in its entirety. And as soon as I will it will probably be one of the greatest piece of arts in music ever made. Probably not the greatest songs, but the greatest concept and art.
Reading your first sentence, I bet most avenged fans thought the same thing when a little piece of heaven came out lol
Such a BADASS fucking song. This is why I love A7X
ok
2:40 holy shit that’s the closet to WTF they sounded since WTF. Fuck yes 🔥
Initially hated this song but holy FUCK it grew on me and now it's one of my favorites. Love it.

Me too. Its unique.
Avenged Sevenfold isn't just a metal band, Avenged Sevenfold is a MAESTRO
It sound like something from what the people who actually really love and care about this said brand or product and the people who made it, show that ‘We love you.’
Oh, and the synth passage is lit 🔥.
It's erratic and explosive alright, like a bad case of diarrhea

Gosh this definitely shows how Brooks fit so well into A7X’s sound!
It's like Mike Patton wrote a prog song and asked Avenged Sevenfold to perform it.
In short, this is a masterpiece.
I thought that too
How dare you insult Mike Patton
Mike Patton is a far better writer than these guys. It's like a bunch of high school kids tried to make a Mr Bungle song. It's okay
