  • Will it Run and Drive again? This old C10 Chevy pickup was being sold as parts only, which is why I originally bought it. It sat behind a mechanics shop with unknown issues for 12 years. But a guy's just GOT to try get the small block unlocked.

@Steph Cooper; Agree with Your assessment for many of the young folks these days in school, that need such a fellow to give them a spark, infusion, 'thunder n lightnin', positive jokes and such in the 'shop'.
My shop teachers were excellent during our time and taught us excellent basics, ideas, principles, including requirements of safety, proper use of tools, etc.
Your comment about 'tetanus shot' update is a common concern for some, but as the correct information and knowledge becomes known, another part of the falsehood inDOCtrination and propaganda We all have been given, 'fed', forced or otherwise, then leads to improper digestion and indigestion.
In any case, the tools and situations Derek is working with don't result in such issues anyway. Thus it is best to stay away from the Allopathy/Pharmaceutical synthetic medications and more so their false 'vaccinations' [they have no actual proof of benefits, but they do have massive evidence of harm].
Hopefully Jessica and Derek have been following the proper path of avoiding all Pharm. 'vaccine' serums and follow good, proper nutrition.
The Globalist/Elite Cabal Rockefeller Allopathy/Pharmaceutical philosophy medical system purposely lack proper information, knowledge about proper, good nutrition and has significant false, incorrect, distorted, misleading information, misinformation, disinformation about nutrition and health, within their other falsehood, pretense, etc., indDOCtrination and propaganda, so the masses of people will actually have more ailments, illness, sickness, disease, etc. as the proof since they became and gained control as the primary medical system 100-120 years ago.
Just within one generation heart and cardiovascular disease became significant and listed as the number one 'cause of death', which was rarely in existence prior. Then cancer, which is a failure of the human immune system, quickly became a significant and rose to be listed as number two, and more recently very close to behind number one. With more and more Pharmaceutical 'vaccine' serum injections in the schedule, the significant rise of allergies, food sensitivities, and other imbalance has occurred within last generation, nearly two.
Natural human immunity and the immune system are essential within the human body function and system.
The Rockefeller Allopathy/Pharm. medical system has led humans toward poor human health, and extensive medical issues, that they claim to have synthetic medications to handle ; usually via long term, and for the remaining portion of life, with increasing number of medications.
Which old people do You know that live without a significant regiment of Pharmaceutical medications, until death ?
My mother, age 90, nearly 91 [within 5-6 weeks] has a regiment of at least 6 daily medications, and many yearly procedures, which some of the younger physicians, that have become more recently involved, often see some results from which they want my mother to go for more extensive procedures, though the actual reality is the situation has not changed from the previous measured results, and have been monitored for many years.
When she manages to contact a previous, more experienced physician, that also is familiar with her situation, the response each time, that the situation is stable and the results are the same as previous, thus fine, and no further procedure is necessary.
Each year the physicians have convinced my mother to accept the yearly 'flu' shot, though We speak about it each year, including reminding about the illness she has each year, usually at the beginning of the winter months [within the next month] and the poor, incorrect, improper treatment she has gotten, resultant imbalance of her system getting worse again, then my efforts help to get her system more balanced again with Homeopathy, and still more with proper nutrition, which she has fallen further away from [though my mother sent me the original book from Nathan Pritikin back in 1984, and significantly changed, improved my base of information, knowledge, view, perspective, perception about food and nutrition which became my solid basis and use since. She did purchase and attain the book again, but for some reason resists, finding some excuse when asked if or when did she read some of it, then giving a reminder to just read a few pages each day or so, perhaps while eating. Am not residing in the same country or area of the world as my mother, for nearly 29 years, thus am limited to access by telephone and she still lacks the arranged data plans though somewhat recently has the device equipment for us to have a live video communication. She also needs someone to sit and provide proper guidance, practice, use of the device she has. A computer would be much better and easier to use too.
Each generation of physicians are more aggressive, quicker to be more involved especially with more intervention. This is the way they are taught, developed and established to behave. This is the intent, purpose, direction, dictation, and control arranged, established, infused, and placed into the system thus upon the population and has been increasing through the decades via direction, dictation and control of the Elite Cabal within their use of this system achieve their Agenda.
All The Best and Much Success in Your Quest, Health and Well Being.
      Sincerely

You’re finding a snap on wrench reminds me of my happiness when it happened to me. I owned an MGB convertible and one night when I was having too much Fun I blew through a T intersection in the country and found myself at the bottom of a very wide and very grassy culvert. I tried driving back up but couldn’t make it through the damp grass. So I tried to run out it at an angle and got up a good amount of speed before hitting a berm that had been built across the culvert. I didn’t see this coming and was almost over and going down the other side before I managed to turn and got back on the road.
The next morning well afternoon, I went out to try to pull some of the grass from the undercarriage. And in the back of the front under bumper spoiler I found a quarter inch snap on socket wrench with an extension, a U joint, and a spark plug socket. How it had managed to stay there in the months since I’d bought the car and survived my wild ride into the culvert, I don’t know. Not bad.

It was in the plastic green box. 🤑🤗 Nice present and a tilt steering column, the color I needed too! The column was 25.00. Back in 1983. Oh, the time has passed. I had 3 complete NICE sets of swivels for 50.00 each set, and a instrument panel with console for a 73 Laguna, wiring to the fuse box, removed by me for 20.00

The Rough Greensnake, also known as the “vine snake,” occurs across the state except for upper northeastern Tennessee. Only one subspecies, Northern Rough Greensnake (O. a. aestivus), is found in Tennessee.
Description: A slender, moderately long snake (22.0 to 32.0 inches in length), which is light green and has keeled scales. Belly is white, yellow, or pale greenish. Males have longer tails than females. Young are a grayish-green color.
    Similar Species: None.
Habitat: Occurs in dense vegetation, especially along the edges of streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes; often found on overhanging limbs. They can also be found along river bluffs, on forested hillsides, and in shrub and forest-edge habitat.
Diet: Consumes mainly spiders, grasshoppers, crickets, caterpillars, and dragonflies.
Breeding information: Adults mate in spring and fall. Females select a nest site under rocks, leaves, rotting logs, or bark to lay 3-10 white, elongated eggs during the summer. Eggs hatch out in late summer after incubating for 36-43 days. Females may use the same nest cavity year after year, and sometimes multiple females may use a nest at the same time.
Status in Tennessee: A fairly common snake, but can be difficult to see. Not protected.
    Fun Facts:
This very arboreal, camouflaged snake is an excellent climber and becomes almost invisible in dense, green shrubs and vines.
Rough Greensnakes turn blue when they are dead.
Best places to see in Tennessee: On branches overhanging edges of lakes or streams.

But really with out an overhaul that's about it. Another reason these cars will start and run is because they were still using non ethanol gas when they were set out to pasture. Well now that I know how it ends I guess I don't need to bother watching it. But I guess I will anyway.

You're an inspiration to anybody who has an old pos in their possession in the backyard and needs a little nudge to get them off their ass to start working on their project.
Thanks a lot for your efforts!

Thanks to the info in this video I was able to get a 1972 Ford 360 unstuck. I made my own concoction and it went from a quarter turn to a full rotation. Thanks Derek!!

Man I always love to hear when you talk about your dad! I had what I think was the greatest dad in the world that I lost when I was 18 years old and he always like to fix anything so when I hear about your dad it reminds me of mine. Sounds like he was a good guy?

From what I could see of the engine and the sound, I'd guess it's a 307. I had a Nova with a 307 back in high school. Of course, it was a 4-door with the lame 2-speed automatic. Anyway, great work; good video! Thanks!

47:09 Axe Body Spray will bring out undesirables for sure. Brut will bring out the good fellers.
And yeah, working outside this time of year in Tennessee, you’re gonna have a lot of back-talking birds. I think they’re mostly cranky and tired from having just flown 1263.5aught7 miles south from their usual home in order to keep from freezing.

Not to often that Derek chuckles while telling a story like he was at the end, that’s how ya know it was really funny.

Derek, I love old cars too! and enjoy all of your family humor while teaching the master of the trade.... It's awesome how you do not use foul language like the others who provide these repair shows. You do an outstanding job...
