This game has a glitch that could cripple your ability to unlock modes and shin Akuma, if you play “too good” in arcade you’d fight shin Akuma instead of Bison, instead of the final fight you’d see a glitched portrait of Akuma crashing the game and screwing up fake data like time attacks and other stuff making beating time scores impossible.
I bought two copies of this to play against my brothers and both of them had the akuma broken glitch. Even with the release of delta emulator for iPhones the glitch is still there.
@@BowsettesFury- Really? Besides not having two additional face buttons, the GBA was/is a great handheld. Being able to play the trilogies of games like the SMB series, the DKC series, and the LOZ series on the go was great. Contra III, SSFII, Final Fight One, Final Fantasy III, and many more games, made the system a must have!
@@BowsettesFuryThe GBA was a great handheld. Especially the SP clamshell backlit version. In 2001 you could get flash carts to download free games. Only surpassed by the Amazing Sony Psp
My copy has the victory quotes wrong for the bosses. I'm not sure if it was fixed in later releases. Bison, Vega and Balrog's names were changed but not their quotes
By the title I was hoping Top Hat was talking about Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition.... But yeah this is also ignored too. I didnt grow upplaying this on Gameboy Advance, as I never knew Street Fighter was on Gameboy Advance or Gameboy at all. I only ever played Mario World, Mario 3, Sonic Advance trilogy, Sonic Battle, Rescue Heroes, and F-Zero GP Legend during that time. I didnt get to play this version of SF2 until I was like.... 16 I think. I didnt like it at first but then I tried it again years later (i forgot exactly when) and then liked it then. as I saw the new content within the game. This realy remind me of Final fFight One on GBA as well. A port of an old game with some new content here and there.
HSF2 is not ignored, it is much of the contrary: there are plenty of tournaments happening for it and even Capcom released it in one of their collections.
10:34 I had to run this back four times before I realised you meant that "Super Street Fighter II Turbo" didn't have a SNES release and not just "Street Fighter II Turbo".
One of my favorite versions of Street Fighter 2. I played the heck out of this game. Loved the updated art and the classic gameplay style. I still pick this up today.
Question. I have a copy of the EGM Sheng Long magazine at my mum's house (luckily she throws nothing away) I'm not sure what condition it's in but I was looking online to see if it was worth anything and can't see anything. Any help?
I wish Capcom would do a console collection of the street fighter games. So many good ports some with things you couldn't get any where else. Would be cool to have like this and some of the SNES and Gameboy and Saturn ports all in one collection. Kind of surprised Capcom hasn't thought of this yet.
Please do videos on Tekken 3, Mortal Komat 3, DOA2, & Soul Calibur 3. As well as videos on the Bazblue series, Power Rangers battle for the Grid, Pokken Tournament, the Persona 4 Arena, the Godzilla fighting games, SNK's World Heroes series, Primal Rage, Tobal no. 1, Mace the Dark Age, & Sonic the Fighters
i recently haved the chance for playing it and my God, this version is Awesome!!!! i loved the new interface, the new character Portraits and extra modes. also feeling the refined gameplay is amazing, feels more lived, fresh and Dynamic to me is One of the Best Versions of Street Fighter 2
I just played the rainbow edition, it was an arcade stand up inside the new Arcade Monsters in Orlando Fl, super fun, I played the super edition for SNES for many years
I don't know why Nintendo didn't give the GBA four face buttons, this, SFA3, the 2 KoFs would be much easier to play with. This was a great port though, shame about the Akuma glitch.
Zangief was extremely broken in the gba(probably his best version) ,then any other version. A mini leap grab (foward plus strong punch) as well easier to execute special moves. You could hold one punch button and push another punch button for his spinning lariat. Forgiving button combinations (360) for his jumping piledriver.Lengthy reach with his strong kick, and forgiving recovery time. If you never really like playing as Zangief in other games, play him in this one. Borderline broken. Once you play him in this one, it's hard to go back to any other version of him.
I was gonna say this was the version I had for super Nintendo but I don't remember akuma being in it so I think I just had regular super street fighter 2, loved that game back in the day and just baught the anniversary edition for ps4 a few weeks ago the had 12 games and remembered why I hate fighting games... love the stories hate the games!
I had a Mega Drive and the only version available was Championship Edition. Still the best one in my opinion just so pure. SFVI is well made but overly complex in my opinion for my tastes
The colors/image quality look horrible on the GBA version. The Sega Saturn really missed out on not having Capcom Generations 5 as an American launch title. It's arcade perfect ports of SF2/CE/Turbo that would have done the Saturn great for popularity. Too bad it didn't come out till 98 and only in Japan. Capcom really dropped the ball on that one.
the time is running out wen I'm stoping buy old games I don't collect them I play them one week one week super Nintendo other week sega genesis next week sega Saturn next week circle I usually order old games but like I say the time run out wen I stop ordering cause so expensive you sale old game at big price nope you oughta keep them

I swear if Capcom named each Street Fighter theyve ever released by number, by now we would be around Street Fighter 8390 instead of 6
Remember kids, if you take a shot every time he says Street Fighter Two, make it a small one.
Well, the video IS about Street Fighter Two, so, what did you expect? 🤷
@billcook4768 Nah, I think I'll go home and be a family man.

Visualboy has that glitch and that stinks too much!!! The game freezes out of nowhere!!!!

@@Cheezusthegreat even the wiiu port has the problem.
This and Alpha 3 on the GBA were insane!
You are right sir ! It has long been underrated!!!
SUPER STREETFIGHTER II GBA
Me: huh never heard of it.
TopHat: “Gameboy Advance…”
Me: That would be why🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just so you know, we LOVE female thighs!! I’ll like the video to see if yt algorithm picks it up. Great video !!
Had no idea this version of Street Fighter 2 even existed.
Don’t feel bad you’re not the only one. The GBA itself wasn’t even on my radar back then. The old school handhelds were terrible to me.

Street Fighter II Turbo was an improvement on an already iconic game. I definitely have to cover a theme from this franchise
Anyone else miss the handhelds round the world intro? 😭

The GBA version?
*watches
Yup, GBA version.
It's because of this version that I'm now extremely disappointed when 2D fighting games don't have extensive Survival and Time Attack modes.
I'm glad I'm not the only. A lot of fighting games be too bare bones since SF4 to a degree. Actually, since like, Marvel 3 and SoulCalibur V.
I truly love this channel. I am such a capcom head myself and love documentaries so this is a nice blend
One of my most cherished GBA games and one with the most playtime I’m sure!!
Between this and alpha 3's GBA port this one functions better
How is this forgotten? I remember seeing this at 2010-2012 on RUclips before and still didn’t forget.
Maybe the trends replaced it with another.
you look like G form SFV, its a compliment
If that version had an arcade port then I think I would die
Love your videos Top Hat! Where do you get the art work for them. I love the art I'd like too see more of their work.

I think the unforgivable bug it had that crashed the game if, "you achieved the requirements to fight Akuma" can not be understated.
That DMC2 cameo - FFS! 😂

Oh this isn't some "hidden/unreleased/forbidden" video that details some possible prototype of Street Fighter II.
Ultra Street Fighter 2 for the Switch is my favourite version of the game
it was never overlooked this was the best street fighter ever
the main problem is the macros to get all 6 attacks. they should've used the same type as SFA3.

Should do a video about the legendary ps1 fighter called Destrega xD
Impressive, is there a way to emulate the game?
There is. Its been emulated for about, almost two to three decades now with Visual Boy Advance.
Would love a six button hack or snes hack of this port, I still practice renda cancels on this version on my 3DS

Just wanted to say that I'm a Koopa 🐢
Vega could always lose his claw. I remember it from Turbo
Right. the addition to Super Turbo was that he could _pick it back up_ afterward.
Ultra street fighter 2 on switch is the best version ever.. the hand drawn graphics the improved speech and evil ken and Ryu on the go ftw
Amen
I hated the new backgrounds otherwise it was good
but I'll tell you now I won't give you more than 25.00 dollars
