I guess the writers need to have a reason to keep them going on adventures and stuff. But no, they have the look of the game's NPC henchmen. They had the knife guy and everything lol.

That let's you know how popular Street Fighter was! Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat had their own tv shows but they don't properly follow the storyline by having all the good guys team up against the bad guys. Instead of having it in a tournament style.
It was pretty awesome too. Since we technically had 2 different interpretations of the Street Fighter 2 series. 1 in U.S. and 1 in Japan. Both completely different in story, plot and art work. But I thought both were really cool. I liked the U.S. version since they introduced pretty much all the characters at that time. But in Street Fighter 2 V, the story and dialogue was great and art work. But not all the characters were introduced and represented.
I know this show was bad, but it brings back so much nostalgia and I appreciate that the company, mixed in final fight and street fighter not long after alpha 1 and 2 came out.

You're right, Rolento *is* supposed to be German-American, but they instead made him into the likes of a stereotypical Italian-New Yorker mafioso because of the way his name sounds. Funny enough, he would later appear in SFxTK and USFIV with an English-dub voice that sounds like Sergeant Zim from Starship Troopers.
Also, while this was the only episode to feature Cody, Guy, and Haggar (despite Haggar never playing a huge role in the plot), it was nice to see them here. And it was nice to see Ryu and Ken in different outfits than what we normally see them in. Admittedly there was something charming about seeing them in street punk fashion. And also, at least Guy didn't beat up Cody at the end like he did in the arcade game.
Tonight's special guest star: Gary Busey as Cody Travers! :D You know, for all the beats they missed, Haggar tossing an armchair into a TV out of sheer frustration was a pretty spot-on character moment. :x
