I'm so happy that you discovered George Carlin. He's one of my all-time favorites. He's right up there with Richard Pryor and Robin Williams I love comedy but they're all telling you story about life that you should be listening to
He started in the early 60s as a stand-up comic And he wore a regular suit and tie It is act. Enduring the 60s and the counter culture movement he grew his hair and beard long and became the icon he is today
Thank you for reacting to the greatest comedian that ever lived. He was actually more of a philosopher. He didn't tell jokes, he told truth in a funny way. Carlin was never afraid to call out bullshit wherever it was - whether it was bullshit in society, or the government, or the police or in religion. One of my favorite lines by him is "It's called The American "Dream" because you have to be asleep to believe it."
Always keep Carlin in the consciousness. Wise man telling is like it was; as things changed over time. Truly miss him and the wisdom he brought. Great reaction Polo~
His acts only get better and better, so you have many, many, many more hilariously learning common sense experiences ahead.....keep those George videos a comin...I will definitely watch em all
I watched him on TV once where he came out, didn't say anything - he just stood there, looked around, and after a minute or two, the entire audience was laughing. When his stage time was over, the only thing he said onstage that night was, "Thank you".
Love George Carlin my first experience with listening to him was from my brother. I was still in the single digits of age listening to The Seven Words you Can't Say on Television. Hilarious.
Over 40 years in comedy! Definitely one of the Goats. I was lucky enough to see him live in Cincinnati. It was an experience I’ll never forget. You should check out some Bill Hicks. He was a comedian’s comedian. RIP
A Christmas Story! My all time fav x-mas movie! Everything these days are sanitized and "made safe"! We didn't have helmets.....if you wore one...god help you! The other kids would tease or beat you up!
That TV performance by George Carlin took place on the CBS variety show, “Tony Orlando And Dawn” in the mid-1970s. For even earlier TV performances by George Carlin, check out his 1965 TV performances on “The Merv Griffin Show” that aired on CBS at that time (the show aired in syndication in the 1970s and early-1980s).
Just subscribed. Love George. Also love that you seem to understand irony, sarcasm, & his overall philosophical bent, curiosity, & questioning. So many reacting to his content miss so much. It goes right over their heads. Especially his pieces on the death penalty, & abortion.
If comedians were Jedi, George Carlin was Yoda. Ask a comedian where they would rank George and he is easily in the top 5. Easily. Look forward to more Carlin reactions.
a christmas story. Ralphie : I want an Official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle. Mother : No, youll shoot your eye out.
I know the videos of Carlin give his facial expressions and is conducive to reaction 'videos', but do check out the very deep well of bits from his comedy albums (vinyl, CD, cassette). So many are all over YT and most just display the album cover, but hey, the GOAT was born before me (tail-end Boomer), so the bulk of his material was pre-video era (except some rare old TV recordings. Said it before, 'White Harlem', 'New York Voices', 'Welcome to My Job', 'Shoot', Birth Control', 'Sex in Commercials'... are just a start at some great comedy! I still want an opinion from a person unchallenged by a lack of melanin (unlike me) on the bit 'White Harlem'. This old-white F.A.R.T. (Fathers Against Radical Teenagers) found Carlin to be one who made me even more aware of their only being one race... the human race. You tell me if you agree on this bit. 😄 I'll rethink if you don't.🤐
George was certainly ONE of the best comedians. You should give a listen to Robert Klein - his bits from the 1960's and 1970's were smart, way funny and really hip.
In grade school, one thing i hate most when learning the language is, silent letter in a word. Words that can be easy to say, but confusing on how to spell it, especially the 1st time you heard someone saying it. Like: Ours and Hours, Crochet, Cache and Cliche. Why not just make Cliche spell as Clisay if it means a verbal phrase or opinion? Why not make it as simple as the word "Hearsay"? What you HEAR, is what you SAY. straightforward Words, easy to understand. words like Psycho and Tough. Do you expect a child to spell it correctly even if its the 1st time they come across those words? cos I'm pretty sure most of us don't. More so, When reading and don't have any idea on how to say it. Made me wonder why is there a need to make it confusing?
I loved George Carlin. Did you know George was in the Air Force? He had a really crazy job, if you want to know what it was Polo, just let me know, It was pretty crazy. I wish I had met him there.

Carlin was a master of the English language; more so than any other performer I can think of.
I'm so happy that you discovered George Carlin. He's one of my all-time favorites. He's right up there with Richard Pryor and Robin Williams I love comedy but they're all telling you story about life that you should be listening to
Yeah, Carlin was the Beatles of comedy. His mind was ahead of the curve we didn't think of.
He started in the early 60s as a stand-up comic And he wore a regular suit and tie It is act. Enduring the 60s and the counter culture movement he grew his hair and beard long and became the icon he is today

George Carlin had an IQ of a genius. I think his parents were also !
If comedians were Jedi, George Carlin was Yoda.
