Slaw is the law! I honestly have had worse loads here. I don't think the camera was able to capture the true density of this load. We'll try to show more home clean eating in the future 🙂. Thank you!
The home vlogs are funny because they're so much easier for us to make but our home life is mostly boring 😆. When we have something interesting going on in the future we'll try to plug one in. Thanks for watching 🙂. We appreciate you.
Hello TPF! So happy to see you guys today. I'm really looking forward to Skippers Canteen. We love that place. Lots of great memories there. Make sure to try the cheese bread (pão de queijo). It's delightful. Thanks for being awesome!
The reference to finding either a bonus fry or onion ring at Burger King, depending on what you order, is truly a magical experience! Also, the zesty sauce there is probably my first experience with that kind of sauce.
This used to be my go-to … back when they did a no-frills burger & steak fries. Was just a few $ more than quick-serve years ago. So happy to hear the fries are back. Chicken sandwich looks and sounds great. Love that room with the castle view. I’m going to give it another try!
My two favorite RUclipsrs! Thank you for another awesome video! I love your hat Sam! Is that a Mickey ring? So cute! The loaded fries looked delicious! What a cool milkshake with the donut 🍩
Thank you! We're privileged to even be considered 🙂. I always tell Sam that her Disney style is on point. Fries and milkshakes really captures the essence of the cuisine here. They were solid too!
Great video, I love this series I hope you do the other parks after. But can we talk about the fact that Sam has no nails on gasp😆. I've heard Tony's is better with their new menu so I'm excited too see what you both think.
Thank you! I was wondering if anyone would notice the nails, but have no fear they are back on- I felt naked without them. We have Tony's tomorrow and I am excited :)
@@ThemeParkFoodies I always look at your nails to see what fun design you have, but to be fair I'm a nail tech, so I look at everyone's nails. I can't wait for Tony's!
Hi Sam & Jay 👋 ☺️! Thank you for sharing your lunch experience at The Plaza Restaurant. Your lunch choices are also my favorites. I have a question about the chicken sandwich 😋. It looked breaded. If so, what made the coating so dark? Initially, it looked burnt, but you did not mention that. Was it an added ingredient (BBQ sauce?) that offered that dark coating? For me, I'm familiar with more of a golden coating for a chicken sandwich. The mayo/slaw looked great on the sandwich. I'm going to try that. When I make a Cobb Salad, I use Boars Head brand for deli meats. For me, this has more of an authentic texture & taste that I look for. Perhaps this brand is not sold in the Florida area. THE DESSERT SHAKES!!! That Strawberry shake, mmm, mmm, good 😋!!! I enjoy your videos. Buon Appétit!! See you for the next one. 😊 ❤
To me, it wasn't burnt and had no particular flavor that was recognizable in hindsight. It was just cooked well done in my opinion. They used breadcrumbs over a standard batter for the fry which is why I think it had that darker color. They do have Boars Head around here but I don't think Disney wants to pay the price. These meats were not it and I agree with your choice of Deli meat for a Chef salad. The shakes were the stars here. Definitely worth it for the fries and shakes in a cool spot in our opinion. Thank you! We really appreciate your support 🙂.
@ThemeParkFoodies Hi 👋! My apologies if I offended you by describing your food choice and its presentation. I'm sorry if I stepped out of line. For the next time, I'll think before I speak. 😊
We've definitely had hit or miss experiences here but our last two visits have been great. If you end up here again we hope your experience is as great as the one we had here 🙂.
I don't think the camera properly captured this load. It was a solid load. Chicken Sandwich and the milkshakes were the stars here in my opinion. The Plaza is great 🙂.
Thank you! Oh my goodness that is awesome- thanks for representing us in the parks :) We hope you have the best time. Plaza is easy to walk by, it's a good casual spot some things definitely better than others but always great dessert.
Stop saying that word. Dying over here lol (OK watched the rest of the episode. That salad reminds me of the premade wrapped up salads you get at a gas station or 7-11. Very processed and very preserved precut meats. More salt water content than protein. It did not look good. I think you were generous on the 5. Good video as always :))
Oh man 😆, we've gotten comments both ways on that word. I wish we could selectively edit. Maybe we'll put up a warning before we say it in the future? I do think we were a bit kind to the salad. Although I'd say that everything outside the meat was solid. Definitely don't recommend getting anything with cold cuts at Disney. Thank you! We really appreciate it 🙂
@@ThemeParkFoodies Oh say whatever words you want! It was just funny how often it was being said. No warning needed. Say load and moist loud and proud. Just don't use it back to back often under 30 seconds :P
Coming back to this to tell ya'll I was just looking at dining at the Contemporary.. I stumbled upon "The Sand Bar" (main Pool Bar) menu and they have a Chef Salad on the menu. And a Chicken Pita that sounds pretty good. Wonder if the salad is better than this one. Can't think of too many places on property that offer a Chef Salad.
Just had dinner there two weeks ago. The baked potato soup was so good. I also had the pot roast which was fantastic. Definitely will return to the plaza again especially since I actually didn't even order what I went in to try.
We had the baked potato soup when we did our seasonal menu video and we loved it. The pot roast stack is always good, I should have gotten that instead of the dang salad.
The chef’s salad looks so disappointing. The meat looked like it was from a can! Can’t believe they charged $20! We have eaten more appealing, fresh and delicious salads in the quick service restaurants.
If you were able to name where it is located I'd pin your comment. It's located in between the Main Street USA section and Tomorrowland section of Magic Kingdom. The "Land" that it's located in is Main Street USA. The restaurant itself is an extension of The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor which is situated at the corner of Main Street USA. If you can provide information that otherwise discounts this I'll admit fault and pin your comment for others to see.
You two are a breath of fresh air in the Disney realm much appreciated!!!
That is super sweet of you to say- thank you! We feel very lucky to be able to do this in our off time from our day jobs :)
Shakes look so great! Happy Jay got some slaw, and that "load" def could've been better 😂❤ Enjoy your home meal additon to the vlog.

That chefs salad is scarier than anything at Halloween Horror Nights this year 😂

Hi Sam and Jay!
The chicken sandwich looked really good! 😋
We would love watching home vlogs 🏡
Thank you so much for bringing us along! 🤗🤗
Hiiii! Chicken sandwich was solid, I'd def get that again. Thank you for coming along :)

Some items are definitely better than others but it's still such a charming spot and can't go wrong with milkshake :) Hope you enjoy!
😀id go for the fries and ice cream i am eyeing 👁that strawberry shakethank you for the meal of the week!
Can't go wrong with Edy's Ice Cream. We loved our shakes and the fries are classic. Thank YOU for all your support 🙂.
You guys look great and I love this crawl thank you ❤

We've definitely had hit or miss experiences here but our last two visits have been great. If you end up here again we hope your experience is as great as the one we had here 🙂.
I love the plaza. I feel like there could be a bigger load on those fries. Chicken sandwich looked amazing and the two milkshakes top notch.
I don't think the camera properly captured this load. It was a solid load. Chicken Sandwich and the milkshakes were the stars here in my opinion. The Plaza is great 🙂.
That Chefs Salad reminds me of the “garbage salad” my dad used to make, the way the meat and cheese are sliced.
Something tells me Dad's garbage salad would have tasted better hahaha
nice vid, i bought theme park foodie tees today for my wife and i to wear to mickeys christmas party nov 15th, i never noticed the plaza, looks good

The meats in the salad put me off too.. why so thick😂
😆 the chunks were not it. DTDCC - Don't Trust Disney Cold Cuts
Very few places do cold meat salads well unfortunately, especially ham, idk why! 😂😭
you're right, I should have gotten the trusty pot roast stack!

The salad was a 2. A 5 rating says C- and could still be ordered
it’s not that serious 😂 and anyone can formulate their own ratings & make their own decisions
The chicken sandwich looks good but $23.00 dollars???????
Main Street USA isn't cheap haha
👋 how is the food and decor there?😊😊😊
Charming place with a lot of comfort food- minus the salad.
The chef’s salad looks so disappointing. The meat looked like it was from a can! Can’t believe they charged $20! We have eaten more appealing, fresh and delicious salads in the quick service restaurants.
Yeah the meat wasn't very appetizing.
10:52 sorry but all this food visually looks soooo sad
