    Hi Sam & Jay 👋☺️!! Thank you for another delicious 😋 dining 🍽 experience! I must confess, I'm a NYC Sicilian and am a major "SNOB" when it comes to Italian food. I agree with your "mozz" review. Nice cheese pull, but the crispiness softens in a "pool" of sauce. As for the garlic bread, it looked 😋 good. I, too, would prefer the dipping Parmigiano sauce instead of pouring it on top. Sauces soften the crispness. I agree with Sam on her alla vodka sauce review. Immediately, I saw it looked "runny & loose" instead of it being thicker or a creamier consistency. Jay, as for your spaghetti, was it al dente? That is my pet peeve. Apologies for my severe criticism. I use a spoon to twirl my spaghetti 🍝 then take a piece of meatball to "cap" it on the fork. I am an "extra" sauce diner, so I can take bread and wipe the plate clean! That's the best part of the meal. LOL Your desserts look delish! Thank you for taking me along. Buono Appetito!! See you for the next one. 😊 ❤ 🐶 for Frank ❤

      I think you hit the nail on the head! My family also has Sicilian roots. The spaghetti wasn't Al dente but it didn't really stick out. Very middle of the road and I agree with the sauce dipping being the best part. This definitely isn't the best Italian food but it did hit the spot in certain ways. If you go in not expecting authentic Italian cuisine and just looking fot a tasty meal I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Service was spectacular too. Thank you for all your support. The love for Frank means the world to us ❤.

    The vodka sauce looks a bit thin, like Sam mentioned. The garlic bread looks wonderful, as other RUclips reviewers have mentioned.

      Definitely improved! This isn't a high end Italian experience but it doesn't have to be. It's fun and tasty. The sauce definitely needed some thickness but it had flavor. The Italian Bread was a star 🌟 for sure. Of course and thanks so much for your support 🙂.

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  День назад +1

      My biggest suggestion is to stay away from anything that has the marinara or red sauce. This is solid not-so authentic Italian food. The apps and desserts were the stars here to us. Plus the restaurant has a lot of personality. If you end up here we hope you enjoy it as much as we did 🙂.

      It took us awhile to try Tony's out. If you've been to Magic Kingdom a lot, I think it's worth crossing off the list. There's a charm to it and some fun dishes. I don't think this will be our #1 but it pleasantly surprised us!

    Tony's is definitely a step above Olive Garden in food taste alone. But, the opportunity to watch a parade while eating good food in a restaurant decorated in the theme of Lady and The Trampp ( one of our absolute favorite movies) is a win for me. With the Dining Plan, we can only eat one table service a day, but we still want to go here. We may just pay out of pocket here to get 2 apps for our whole group and maybe share entres. That way we can save our table service credits for Topolinos, Kona, Narcoosies etc. since some of those take 2 credits.

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  День назад +1

      This sounds like a great plan! We've never used the dining plan so we don't really know the ins and outs. We're onboard with anything that includes Kona, Topolinos and Narcoosies. Definitely a beautiful restaurant themed after a great film. Great pick for a favorite animated classic 🙂. We need to try to see the parade next tim!

    As a NYC Sicilian, I only went to Tony's (and Mama Melrose) once a piece - and I won't go back. Disney's red sauce was just awful!! It reminded me of a really bad jarred pasta sauce :( We loved the tiramisu, which was super surprising that it was the best thing we ordered (in our 2016 visit).
    The appetizers that you ordered looked pretty good :) but still, I don't know if I'd try it.... maybe if it was quick service, I'd get it and walk down Main Street, but to have a sit-down, eh. Thanks for your reviews!!, I know I can always trust your NYC-Italian palates!!

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  День назад

      If the last time you were here was 2016 then it's definitely improved. However, the Disney red sauce is still not good. Tastes straight out of the can. Our advice here is to taper your expectations and know what to order. The best items, to us, are the not-so authentic items like the giant mozzarella sticks or Carrot Cake Cannoli. It's fun and tasty but you can't compare this to home if that makes sense. Definitely understand your sentiment. We greatly appreciate your trust and support 🙂.

    I think as long as people go to Tony’s knowing it’s basically American pasta and not authentic Italian, it’s good food! Except for the spaghetti and meatballs. My son had it when we went over the summer and it was TRASH. The meatballs were fine but the sauce was terrible, so consider the lack of sauce on yours a blessing! 😂 My fave is the chicken parm but with Alfredo sauce instead of the marinara. So good!

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  15 часов назад

      Agree that it's all about the expectations you set before going. It's weird that their signature dish is the weakest, but there are some good gems on the menu. I enjoyed the chicken parm last visit, and nice that you can sub the sauce- good tip. Thanks for watching :)

    I think the Tortellini and Italian Sausage al Forno is very good. Is it high end Italian? No it is not but it is delicious cheesiness, though. I do not think it is overly spicy but I am a spice fan so that may be why.

    • @ThemeParkFoodies
      @ThemeParkFoodies  День назад +1

      They told me it had spice so I held off. In hindsight, I wish I got it. Everything outside the spaghetti and meatballs surprised us. I'll definitely get it on our next visit. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂.
