You just KNOW the Guardsman piloting that Scout Sentinel that parried the Vortex Beast and chainsaw'd a wound into it was the talk of the company after this battle
As a Ksons player I cant tell you what part of this battle hurt the most. All the rolls of 1 and 2 are a strong contender, but I also felt the lack of cabal points right in my chest
@@UnityAmongstChaos Absolutely. I love watching and seeing off-meta Thousand Sons on Play-On because it's more interesting, but off-meta definitely hurts the army a lot. Hopefully some variety will come along and fix that
@@Whoknows21356 For sure. Ksons as an army is just unusually punished for not bringing a competitive list, so it hurts a bit to play that way. So glad to see Carl! Used to love it when he’d cross paths with the LatCS podcast back in the day. I also played Carl at Adepticon in 2011 his Ultramarines and my Blood Angels. Super fun game and just a fun, enthusiastic guy.
These videos are always amazing! They’re great to watch at any time. I nearly died today, and I decided to watch a Play On Tabletop video to help calm me down.
My boyfriend and I enjoy miniature gaming but we can never seem to get into Warhammer stuff. Your playthroughs are so freaking good that it makes us want to pick the game up and go bankrupt buying more plastic toys!
i was pretty excited for this, As these are my Two armies, and then i realized ive already seen this match. still a great one as always. feels bads for the Mutlaith though. ;-;
I feel bad cause he forgot the vortex beasts end of movement phase ability but I can't judge cause I forget it all the time. But at least he tanked a bunch of shots
Imagine rolling up to a table with your Rogal Dorn and telling your opponent that you are going to move it, pull out a remote, and it starts moving up the board. Absolute power play.
I think it would be cool if you can show the spread sheets at some point, maybe when their fighting another unit that shows the difference in stats and luck
I would like "whole army" turn based 40k transform a little toward "unit/points value" turn taking. Like you choose a unit that you want to do something and move, fighting/shooting is all done, then the opponent can retaliate, either with a unit, tank, creature or special character of their own. I feel it would reduce a lot of the impact of the person getting first turn. I havent played for a long time, but whoever gets first turn has a big advantage, right??❤
That's definitely a neat idea! That's kinda how Age of Sigmar's fight phase works too, though I suppose there is a reason why this works like that. Though yeah whoever gets first turn has a big advantage.
@@steliosvagianos8445 i think 40k and age of sigmar have basically the same fight phase just that charging doesnt grant fights first in aos, and in 40k it starts with the defending player
What a great game I didn't expect that from the start. Two beautifully painted armies. Big up for the remote control Dawn from ground effect. That china makes some lekka things bout.
Great battle report! Why did you use the reroll for the small stuff and not for the main battle tank at 11:48? That round 1 was crazy from both sides, the die didn't seem to want to help either side. Good ol' Tzeentch schemes
Hi! Just a lil tip. The vanquisher should hit on 2s if it remained stationary because the vanquisher battle cannon has the heavy keyword. With take aim affecting the ballistic to + 1, you also benefit from the +1 from remaining stationary with the heavy weapon. Hopefully this helps Nick in future usage of the vanquisher 😅

Agree 39 minute song is what I noticed the most
This was a special stand out episode for sound design - the music was phenomenal!
Nice sound editing!!

The vanquisher doesn't need a CP to reroll to wound against vehicles. It's built into the datasheet.
