I just picked up the box set of hivestorm today. I haven't played 40k in something like 2 decades but I'm excited to get back into it through Kill Team. I'm glad to have found you guys, you make great content with a positive and accessible attitude!

A great rules explanation. I could never understand the shooting mechanics in 40k or Kill Team - somehow couldn't wrap my head around it. It's actually much easier, than it seemed. 😁 Doing it all step by step, like in your video, is so much clearer. Thank you for this.
Might want to clarify that using two ladders in a row, you only get the 1” advantage on the first one. Hard to tell if the amount of movement you used, but your voice over comment sounded like you might have used the 1” twice.
You guys are really an inspiration. I'll cure Kill Team with some Narrative contents from 2025 on my Italian channel, and since I live near Dolomites well... I'm at Mountainside as well! 😂🍻 Keep up the great work, also your community is great and you deserve it 😉
Until you need to measure 8" for a pistol shot or 7" for Aeldari movement 😂 I know it's only a minor thing but they should have just included an old fashioned measuring stick instead of messing around separate measuring gauges.
I disliked the shapes (ignore them, really) but I loved the uniformity of ranges they brought to the game. It was clean and elegant - you didn't need to check/remember whether something was 5" or maybe 6" or maybe 7". Now we get this unnecessary granularity that is just pointless mental load and opportunity for playing things wrong.
Nah. Working in inches is far superior. Im new to killteam with 3rd edition and i cant imagine counting in cicles squares and triangles. THAT sounds like extra mental load. @robertchmielecki2580

I disagree with the fact that you get everything you need to play 1vs1 in that box. You got only one set of equipment and TacOps, so you can't choose the same equipment. Missing another set of TacOps is also silly, since the second player can just scroll what the first one took and will know the secret information. Do you HAVE to take initiative each turning point after the first if you win the roll? or does winner of the roll pick who has initiative for that turning point?
At 24:54 you shoot charge and fight. Is that correct? I just started playing and my buddy said you can only shoot twice or fight twice not a combination.
Regarding Tac Ops, this is selected after choosing the primary mission (crit op) and team? Am I right in thinking you choose just one tac op from your team’s archetypes?
Ok confused by 17 mins. Are there three types of movement? Move, reposition and dash?? The shooting explanation was very good but as usual Warhammer use of none English grammar causes confusion I wonder if these rules make more or less sense in other languages. Great video guys probably one of the best I’ve seen as a how to play video. It’s the rules that are the issue as usual. Great minis and I have been very impressed with the kill team app. Perhaps it will be easier to keep track of the rules on the app rather than flick through a book.
Well technically there are 4 types of moves. Reposition, Dash, Charge and Fall Back.. But they are prob just used to saying "Move" instead of Reposition :)
Question: At minute 27:40 , why didn’t the intercessor fight a second time? He used a charge and a fight ap and should have one more ap left for another fight, right? Am I missing something here?
