They already did that one a few months ago when deathwing assault came out but that was when the dark angels codex was super weak and the lion was still 350 points iirc
yeah I saw this and cried. His lone op also really dulls any incoming shooting. If you place him behind the knights as well, he essentially cant be shot unless you move into easy charge range of the knights. Lion behind termies and knights is the way to go for sure. It really feels bad to watch someone misplay an army you're passionate about :(
That and the fact he didnt put him into Magnus, The Lion into magnus as well as keeping those intercessors on the objective would've won him the game and most likely killed Magnus. The only thing that could kill him was The Lion, hugely misplayed here but we all make mistakes.

There were definitely some internal mind games between Tak and Mubin. They've played against each other quite a bit and know each others play styles but Mubin is definitely changing things up and being less aggressive and more cagey. Old Mubin would have lost Magnus by turn 2 and there would have been a rampaging Lion in the midst of all those Thousand Sons

Woah what incredible timing. Recently a friend of mine wanted to get me into Warhammer. After reading some of the codex books and some lore I ended up wanting to see Dark Angels. He also told me is going for Thousand Sons. Now I get to see one way a game can play out with both armies

I had to join the channel - IMO your close up video editing along with the special effects (specifically in the shooting phase because most of the time on other channels I have no idea who is shooting what) is the best on the internet by a long shot. Keep it up guys - such great work.
I just started building a Thousand Sons army that I bought from a friend. Had a really nicely-painted Magnus and Mutalith and a bunch of other stuff. Needs a bit more to flesh it out, but, I'm excited to give them a run.
The fact Tak didn't bring any ranged anti-tank and went up a against a list with 2 T9s, a T10, and a T11, He left an 80 point hole in his list, and he just left Lion sitting in his deplyoment zone for wayyy too long (he must've realised he had been wasting him when the first time lion fights he wipes a whole squad solo), oh and he failed a ridiculous amount of charges, he only lost by 1 point.
I really like how you guys deliver these reports. Brief but doesn’t miss a thing. Players are really into it but focus on the game and don’t preach or go into non relevant stuff. This is how to outperform your peers and be the one channels battle reports that I will always watch, have the time to do so and enjoy it every time. Really great!

@@DanielMcMillan-nf7rw he's scored worse and done bad desicions. This time he did well. Possibly could've been more aggresive with Manus (imo) and the demon prince and keep the marines in the rhino a little longer but overall he did great.
@@ghmatt14 I appreciate it! Always looking to improve and I have been adjusting my playstyle and trying to find a fine balance. I used to play far too aggressively before and now I feel I may be a bit TOO cagey at times. Though that does tend to leave me with some assets to still do the things needed late game. I think old Mubin probably would have lost Magnus Turn 2/3 and had a Lion rampaging through the rest of his army a turn later

To be honest, because of the indirect only hitting on 4+ I actually shot a lot of Torrent weapons at them unless the models could see them to hit. Then again a LOT of my weapons are torrent in that list
Thought Mubin was screwed after Taq's massive early lead and leading all game. Such an epic battle but feels for Taq's bazillion snake eyes (Tzeentchan shenanigans I'm sure!!)

Keeping the Lion back that long was a huge mistake. He would've mulched more Rubric units like nobody's business.
