I haven't understood for 8 years now why so many people mention Jinjer and Nightwish in the same breath... these two bands have absolutely nothing to do with each other musically. Melodic opera rock is OK........ but Jinjer has a unique musicality in every respect. Thanx for your new reaction on a world class band, Jinjer doing Jinjer things......................
I remember I once bought a Night wish CD and there were maybe 3 to 4 decent songs, most the songs were filler crap that were not very good. I then brought the Jinjer CD (Macro) the songs from start to finish were great to good. Jinjer’s King of Everything is probably their best album it’s willed with some of the best Jinjer gems.
Looks like I might go see them in Denver. She wrote poetry long before she was in the band. if I'm not mistaken the lyrics to Pit of Consciousness was actually written before she was in Jinjer.
This is an older song, Call Me a Symbol is from their latest album. Your brother is lucky have seen Jinjer multiple times and they are phenomenal live. Note one of their openers Hanabie is maybe the most fun live show I have been to. Maybe check out We Love Sweets. Hanabie’s singer along with Mayu from Nemophilia are among my favorite singers, Tati is my fav though.
RE: the The Warning collab with Band-Maid .... just a friendly word of warning (and no, no pun intended) -- do NOT touch it until we have an Official Release™ . there _was_ an accidental bootleg that someone mistakenly put out there, but was immediately taken down , and everyone who used that footage for reaction got immediate copyright _strikes_ , no questions asked, no take-backs (it's a really long story ; but the tldr is that in this case it is indeed actually justified). so anyway, just wanted to give you the heads-up, just in case you are inclined to scrounge around and find a copy of that bootleg .... just wait for the official release -- it _is_ anticipated for release sometime later this year.
Jinjer was formed in '08 and Tatiana and Roman (guitar) joined in '09.

Jinjer is more akin to bands like early Mudvayne and 90's Faith No More than Nightwish

I love this Jinjer song, very heavily Jazz influenced.
@SteveSmith-os5bs I hear alot of jazz influence in there music all the time, it is nice for a change in heavier music.
