From someone who's been listening to Jinjer regularly for a couple years now, your favorite Jinjer song will usually be the one you just listened to, lol.
I'll second the person saying Judgement & Punishment next - the one take vocal performance. Tati flexing the vocal skills live in the studio and shows off their reggae (yes reggae) influences the heaviest of all their songs. Plus it's just a FIRE track. One of my favorites from them.
I know Tati gets all the attention at first, and rightly so I mean look and listen to her, but that is also 3 world class musicians in the band with her. Musically, these guys are on their own level.
"Y'all better be goin crazy in there.. OH SH*T!" That was perfect! 🤣🤣🤣 Love the message in this song, you nailed it! Very easy for Teacher Teacher to be the favorite, but Jinjer has so much fantastic variation that, as I've heard many others say, my favorite Jinjer song is whichever one is playing at the moment! I'd say Who Is Gonna Be The One official live next, but really any of the other suggestions are good too! ❤️🖤🤘
Teacher teacher is one of their best tracks, from the 2019 Micro EP, the same that features Perennial. I think you'd like "Outlander" OMV, from the 2014 "Cloud factory" album. No mistakes if you go with that.
Total hip hop vibe... she loves a ton of different music. Metalheads that hate any rap/metal mix... FIR?? totally give Jinjer a pass. I get it tho, Tatiana can do whatever she wants... it's all awesome. Keep killin' it my man, really fun. Thanks.
I think you're ready for Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev (Kyiv). Her lows are so low. It's gut wrenching. Just Another official video that often gets overlooked is Just Another. It's a banger of a song with a sick groove. And there's a moment when she's ripping your head off and then she turns and smiles sweetly, I'm like nah.
You should check out Judgement. It’s a one take vocal performance with just Tatiana and a mic. I love how the whole band can seamlessly transition from ripping your face off to beautiful and hypnotic without skipping a beat and it just works.
Pit of Consciousness LIVE will blow your mind, even having seen all of these performance so far, cannot wait for your review of Pit of C ... LIVE On the Top LIVE is also dope ... keep killin' it.
You want to hear something different that rarely gets a reaction to? go back 12 years when Tatiana was still honing her skills and still hits a sound that gets getting used to. "Exposed as a Liar" is one of my favorite introductions to Jinjer. She looks like a baby in this video but sounds like a beast.
I Speak Astronomy and Vortex are two of their best IMHO. Might i also suggest Infected Rain as a band you might want to check out, Lena Scissorhands vocals are top notch, to me anyways.
You've never seen anything like it, have you? Me either, and I'm almost 54 years old and have enjoyed metal for nearly 40 years. They are an incredible band. A literal diamond in the ruff.
Well... you've heard Pisces, Perennial, and Teacher Teacher..... they are all solid for sure. If you check out the official video for " Who is gonna be the one " the band is stellar as usual but Tatiana uses three of four techniques with a few variations on each one. Listen CLOSE if you check it out... Tatiana goes slap OFF in this one.
I hope you do more Jinjer! I had to rewind like 3 times to watch you scream when she says “teacher teacher self proclaimed preacher” I was laughing so hard. I see a lot of comments for Judgement and Punishment which is a great one but I think you should check out Who is Gonna be the One live from Atlas too it’s a banger!
Bro, you absolutely nailed those lyrics. You were feelin that. Most people think it's just about Catholic school, but you immediately picked up that it's about anyone telling us what to do what to think how to live our life. And there ain't no voice like Tatiana's to express the rebellion against that bro. Her voice. That voice. Did you set your new ringtone yet?
I was married 27 years. Got divorced, moved to a small town in Montana to fly fish. I said if I ever married again Tati is the only woman for me! Fuuuuuck she’s fine!!
It amuses me how far apart the rap/hip-hop and metal communities tend to be... they actually have a _lot_ in common. Both are extremely rhythm-driven, both vocal styles have at _least_ as much emphasis on cadence and layered, deep lyrics as on melody and singing chops (with the latter being optional in many sub-genres of both)... And actually, you could go to a concert just fine, bro. Metalheads are some of the nicest, most welcoming people in the world, almost universally thrilled to welcome new people who appreciate what they love into the fold. Mosh pits _look_ bananas, but they're actually not as bad as they look. Don't get me wrong, friends who can do them (I never could; my body wouldn't tolerate even a little bit of it) definitely come out bruised... but almost never any worse than that. Mosh pits also form in fairly predictable areas, generally somewhere between 3-10 rows back from the rail, and somewhere in the central third of the stage. If you can get there early, claim a spot on the rail and actually you'll be fine (I used to stand with my hands on the rail, arms extended, with a small female from our group in between for protection but honestly it was never really needed). Otherwise, just be a bit further back, or off to the sides, and if you suddenly find yourself standing alone with the crowd parted around you like the red sea, uh... duck, I guess? xD Or just meander off to a border and you'll be a'ight. There are only really three main 'patterns' in a mosh pit. Slam-dancing (afaik that's what it's called) is just dancing in a crowd like you're not, shoving people around freely and chaotically (but not intending harm). The wheel or pinwheel is basically just like, 50 grown-ass people playing ring-around-the-rosie, complete with skipping half the time. xD The Wall of Death is the only one to really be worried about if you're not involved. That was what happened in the surprise chuggy ending after the false ending with "I smile to you..." where the floor cleared, and the crowd rushed at each other from two directions. If you're in the front row of that as it crashes, that's probably the _most_ dangerous place to be, but... trust me, if you don't _want_ to be in the front ranks of a wall of death? You ain't gonna be. Those people _know_ they want it, and what they're in for. If you don't want it and try to melt back, you'll find four others eager to take your place. Honestly, crowd-surfing at a more traditional rock or pop concert (or some genres of metal) is way more dangerous than anything in a mosh pit. Gravity is brutal, yo. And from what I understand, trying to get anywhere _near_ the actual stage at a hip-hop or rap concert is the most dangerous of all, heh.
for like, being able to make sounds like that reliably and healthily, there are a few ways to do it and in theory I understand some of them, but I've only been able to come close to like a goblin-esque sound. Haven't been able to do it well. But If you're interested in like the mechanics of some of those sounds, The Charismatic Voice here on youtube has done some videos with Will Ramos, the lead singer of Lorna Shore, taking him to a research facility where they put a camera in his throat to see what he was doing, and basically in your throat, above your vocal chords/folds, there are a bunch of other things that aren't necessarily used when you're speaking or singing normally, but that you can twist and compress and in some cases press together as if they are vocal folds to distort the voice. They also recently went back to that facility to do a bunch of other tests as well.
Well said... Yeah this is my overall Fav as well, And Yes it could have kept going for another 3 or 4 mins w more of the groove...... 1st watch of channel..... Be sure to look at 'Vortex Official as well & be sure to be ready for it......If you want something Out of your comfort zone have a look at Marcelito Pomoy from the Phillipines 'The Prayer from his channel...His take on the Duet from the 1 & only Celine Dion & legend Andrea Bocelli....It was part of a in studio radio broadcast... As well as Band Maid 'From Now On.. Instrumental by the phenominal women from Japan....

Fucking true
As someone who’s been listening to Jinjer for a week, this is true 😂

Full stop.
I remember when this came out and she hit that line "Teacher teacher, self proclaimed preacher" shit was hot fire and still is.
Absolute 🔥
"Y'all better be goin crazy in there.. OH SH*T!" That was perfect! 🤣🤣🤣

That made me laugh when he said that and I knew what was about to happen.

Judgement and Punishment.
She is pretty hot as well as a badass singer.
You should check out Judgement. It’s a one take vocal performance with just Tatiana and a mic. I love how the whole band can seamlessly transition from ripping your face off to beautiful and hypnotic without skipping a beat and it just works.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Yaaaaassss. Agree whole heartedly
Teacher Teacher is one of my favs too. Cool song with cool variety in rhythm and sound.
Still one of my favorites. Love Vortex maybe as much...maybe. Then again I love all their songs.
I have been a Jinjer fan for 6 years now. If you keep following the Jinjer journey, you will have a lot of favorites.
🤘💪 Judgment & Punishment (1 Vocal Take)
"On the top" and "Vortex"
You're welcome ;)
I second that emotion. Vortex is maybe my favorite Jinjer song. The OMV is so good. The end will blow your mind like a mofo.
My personal favorite song from Jinjer as well. Lots of phenomenal songs...but tough to top this one.
Jinjer is my favorite band. MORE JINJER!!!!❤🤍💙
Pit of Consciousness LIVE will blow your mind, even having seen all of these performance so far, cannot wait for your review of Pit of C ... LIVE
On the Top LIVE is also dope ... keep killin' it.
This is definitely one of Jinjer fan's most beloved songs...
