Great reaction. Nobody should have to justify why they feel the way they do about music, but that's just me. What would art and the world be if everyone had the same tastes? I enjoyed your reaction. A song that is definitely pulled straight from their experiences is Home Back, about their hometown being caught in the war in eastern Ukraine, and speaks powerfully for the millions of civilians caught in every war around the world. Tati says that since the ceasefire it "isn't being bombed anymore" and they can visit once a year but as the song says, home isn't a place it is freedom and security and nobody can have that in a war zone.

My favorite band for the past four years. I purchased tickets to see them in Los Angeles last year for April but covid canceled that tour. It would have been the fourth time seeing them play live. There are bands that are amazing when they play live and some bands not so. Jinjer is one of those that are amazing live. That show in LA has been rescheduled for this October so I will definitely be there. I always purchase tickets for my son and Neice who are metal fans so they get to rock out with me! All the band members are down to earth and had the pleasure to meet them every time I see them. They are currently in the studio finishing up recording for their new album that will be released this fall. Can’t wait to see what sound that album will bring. Tatiana is married to the drummer of Suicide Silence who will be the opening band for Jinjer on their upcoming North America tour. They were married last year during the pandemic. Bassist Eugene also married last year here in LA. Loved this one Yulia thank you much 🙏🤗🤍

@@j.f.fisher5318 yes they are honoring the original tickets purchased for that show that was canceled. I got an email from Ticketmaster stating that. 👍🏽. If you are in LA or San Diego area you can still purchase new tickets. They added a San Diego show that wasn’t originally on there when they were going to tour here last year. I'm so excited you came back to my favorite band. Ok I forgot . It's Jinjer time and I will always be here for that 😜. Sometimes it takes a while to come around but that's okay we all have to do things the way we want. Glad you liked the song. Tatiana wrights all the lyrics for the band. Not to convince you but as a kind of invitation, listen to two more Jinjer songs, as reactions or in private: "I Speak Astronomy" or "Bad Water". I saw that you were fascinated by the journey "Teacher, Teacher" took in the end. Jinjer does that almost in every song. And my recommendations are songs with only a bit growling or none at all. You might like it! 😁👍

You should check out 'Perennial' live at Wacken, and 'Judgement and Punishment' both the official video (for the story) and Tatiana's one-take vocal (for the performance), maybe you could do a double-header both videos in one reaction? These two songs will help show you Tatiana and the band's musical range.

I always appreciate honest commentary and would much rather hear a person's true thoughts than for a reactor to feed back simply what they think their audience wants to hear. I cannot seem to find your Pisces review but I am sad that the feedback you received gave you pause. While I adore Jinjer and Tatiana, not everyone is going to feel the same way or should they. Thank-you for speaking honestly and finding some positive points even if its not your style

A very thoughtful reaction. For those that throw shame, perhaps you should better understand the meaning behind this song. Reactions are meant to be honest and will not always align to your own likes, but I really respect the courage it takes to open up and give that part of yourself to the world. Nicely done!
Jinjer actually has a better song about being close-minded and not letting other people be different - Judgement and Punishment. I recommend the one take vocal recording.

Great review, you made a great interpretation and well, if you are not a fan, you are not a fan and that's ok. Music is one of those things that's extremely personal, and while taste can vary when exposed to other things, it's not for everybody. I'm really happy you loved some parts of it while not being a fan of the whole.
I'm personally 100% okay with an honest reaction video. Stay honest and I'll stay subscribed. Have you heard the song by Wind Rose "Diggy Diggy hole?" It's on of my favorites also from Napalm records.

Wow, great reaction, very insigthful and fun at the same time. I understand when you say it´s not your vibe: There are lot of great artists out there I don´t really listen but I can recognize they are talented, it´s just not my cup of tea. This a truly special, unique and talented band, they are progressive and groove metal but they combine it with lots of genres like jazz, reaggae, ska, rock and even folk. So if you still feel like it try "Perennial" live at Wacken is an epic performance and great demonstration of what they can do live. Again, great vid.

As is the “we need no soap shoved down our throats” and “please, teacher, teacher - leave us alone.” The band has acknowledge this homage in interviews. No worries, not everyone is into this type of music. My own sister *despises* extreme vocals. 🤷🏻♂️

Complaints and expectations, almost like two sides of a coin, both come from the same pool of human indulgence. Ironically they don't normally yield the result one desires to achieve. Personally, I find them utterly useless.
Now that I fed my ego, lemme just say, this was a great and enjoyable reaction to watch.
Nightwish - Poet and the Pendulum. Absolute crazy song, such an experience, the singer Floor is incredible.
People usually request the video for Pisces because of its initial shock value. It’s really not the best song to showcase what the band really is. When I first saw the Pisces video I wasn’t impressed either. I was shocked by her voice when she started growling but that was the only thing that really stood out to me. The music still on the good and really well mixed but it wasn’t until I saw this song Teacher Teacher that really blew me away and this became one of my favorite metal bands. Definitely my favorite newer metal band to come out in the last 10 years.🤘❤️
I was elated when she started her growls... but that's because I'm more into much harder genres... death metal, blackened death metal and black metal, which are 100% growls and tons of blast beats. However, Jinjer is a very nice change of pace. I love this band. They're masters at their craft. Can't wait til 10/30/2021.
I appreciate hearing reactors who say they're not fans of the band and/or genre of band in question but give respect for the talent that it takes to perform it. Takes tons of training to do growling vocals without damaging the vocal chords....takes tons of training and practice to do blast beats as a drummer.... think all bassists can do what Eugene does? And Tatiana's ability to switch so effortlessly and quick....and her breath control.. both are shown in perennial live at wacken (Vah-ken) 2019. Last song of their set..... watch whole video, including her departing speech. There's one part in which she switches from deep growl to clean when the camera is in her face. Watch for that too.
I respect honesty, it's too easy to play along for likes.
I love Jinjer, they're great musicians and it's refreshing to hear a band that composes their music outside the safe formula.
Having a visually pleasing singer will only get you so far, people (metal heads especially) will smell a gimmick pretty quickly.

For the last 10 years I've been hooked on Metal bands with Chick singers. Jinjer, Halestorm, In This Moment, etc. Just loving the power these ladies give off, like women in MMA. Check out the band Dorothy, they're very rock and roll! Yu will dig it!

Правда, многим кажется на первый взгляд, что речь идет об опыте вроде католической школы, что, естественно, не так. Таня выросла в Горловке под Донецком в обычной шахтерской семье, никаких католических школ она, конечно, не посещала.
Как рассказывала сама Таня, в данном случае образ католической школы использован, как аллегория. Речь в песне идет, так сказать, "обо всех, кто учит нас жить". Все вот эти вот "учителя", начиная от настоящих учителей и заканчивая какими-то ноунеймами в комментариях, которые лучше знают, как нам правильно жить и поступать, как нам следует думать и почему мы заслуживаем всяческого осуждения, если не "молимся" вместе с ними их "богам".
Мы точно не знаем, что именно случилось, но определенно кто-то очень сильно пытался научить Таню жить. Эта песня - ответ тому конкретному человеку (или людям). Как Таня говорила, она писала эту лирику так, чтобы каждый тезис в ней был как отлитая пуля-ответ.
Недавно Таня давало некое интервью (точно не знаю, какое именно, но на 95% догадываюсь), от которого у неё остались такие же впечатления. А она как раз пишет тексты к новому альбому. Поэтому в новом альбоме я ожидаю что-то похожее в плане посыла. А возможно и развитие.

I guess I kinda get where your coming from, react to a young up and coming band from Canada named motion device, either alive,unbroken or the machine are songs to react to
Jinjer is one of those bands that goes in the catogory, intresting to see a reaction video to, but never on my playlist, as i do think they are great in teqnique and stuff, but the song as a whole, not for my playlist... i can name other artists i would put in this box to like, Babymetal/Tom macdonald/The HU/ that kind of stuff is intresting to see what they come up with, but not for the playlist..
When you get past the whole "wow screaming girl" hype there's actually extremely good songwriting and creative instrumentals with Jinjer. Especially in their more recent releases.
Primarily I think Jinjer is very enjoyable if you enjoy heavier progressive music, with many transitions and fast pacing. If you're not into that kind of stuff I don't think Jinjer's style will ever be playlist-worthy for you.

First reaction i have ever seen where the reactor was not sucked into shock and awe of the vocalist switches but truely wanted to see what the song lyrics were about.....the message.... the fact that she is not a fan of the music makes it that much better......I am a fan of the band personally.... but she is not and still she did the reaction anyway.....thats "big brain" stuff.....

Honestly there are parts of jinjer I don't like (I prefer less growls and a songs with a little more melody than some of their songs). But all in all I think they are an ungodly talented band and like them. It was nice to hear your feelings on the song. Don't let the haters get ya down.

If you here for more full experience, I'd suggest Haken - kings of modern prog, or Igorrr with their new Spirituality and Distortion album - shocking, but God, what a masterpiece!

I just can't like guttural bands for the most part and don't care for Jinjer because of that, I have a friend and this is his favorite band. But to each their own and I'm sure there are two or three people in the world who don't care for Phil's vocals.
I will always say, just be honest with your reaction. I am perfectly happy with you when you dislike something I like or when you like something I do. I seem to remember you didn't like Domination live nearly as much as you liked future Pantera reactions but to me that is one of the finest live performances ever. I was still happy with your review and reaction. I'm here to see you doing that instead of having you confirm my biases towards the bands I like. You are the reason and star of the channel, not the bands to whom you react!
Domination, already was looong time ago. I can compare Domination with For whom the bell tolls, by my first listening experience, for the first time hearing it - was not my cup of tea. But - now - come on, what a energy, speed, intro, etc.. but still my Pantera is slowly songs, I generally love slow songs) you know)
