If you want to chase down an imagination / creativity rabbit hole then I suggest you rewatch Fischl's GAA2 domain story again. Especially the ending confrontation and what Oz and Fisch say afterwards. The whole point of it appears to be -- contra the usual understanding about Fischl being a normal girl -- or Mona's attempt to psychoanalyse Fischl -- that Fischl has some sort of magical power that remains mysterious but involves imagination and creativity. Fischl alone of all people thought not to be a god, creates a species (the raven knights) who each have their own personality. Theory theory! You said that visions are given by Celestial beast, what if the archons are also Celestial beast, cause we Know that almost all the Archons are not Human and are from unknown orgins, Venti being a Wisp, Zhongli being the Elder And the First adeptus, Raiden being uhhh idk, and Kusanali being uhhh idk again, but it's clear they're all non-human, so if the people of teyvat says "the Archons give the Visions" or in the lines of that, they are not fully wrong.
I feel like I'm in class again, the professor is walking around the auditorium and whacks those who don't listen the lecture. (it's not bad, it's just how I feel 😅)
If you're right about what "it" is, then what do you think that means for the Traveller? After all they don't manifest visions, yet are still able to control the elements and resist the effects of the abyss, in addition to the fact that their constellation actively changes or is unaligned.
When discussing fairly complex trails of logic, like the meaning of the will and creativity/artistry, it might be helpful to take a step back once in a while to let the audience take a breather and orient themselves. A bit like „hey, as a reminder, this is the meaning of X, this is why it’s important“ and so on. You discussed these themes and their relevance in the game for minutes on end, densely dishing out information and I found myself multiple times thinking „wait how does this relate to (for example) creativity“ or „wait why was (for example) creativity relevant to the story at large again“, trying to build and rebuild the line of thought Mann times. Doesn’t help that you generally talk very quickly, and that doing this with a video format is a bit of a hassle. Perhaps I’m a dumbo or maybe you want your videos to be interacted with that way, just my thoughts.
I actually agree. The density of info is really high. Videos could be a bit longer but more calm. It would contribute to how we digest it. I personally have to rewatch several times... unless😏 this was the intent behind this😂
the "IT" dainsleif talks about is something Halfdan did not have, if you believe that was a vision what would dainsleif vision be. I think "IT" is the same thing as Skirk refers to inside Childe. It is the celestial beasts themselves. Childes fate vision was to find the Narwhal and free it from the abyssal sea. Now the real question is was that according to Celestias plan, if that is the case the breaking of the prophecy might not be a blow to Celestia at all, but exactly what the prophecy was supposed to be. Just like it was in the prophecy that they would hold a trial. See we operate from the thought that Focalors "fooled" Celestia but I dont believe that is the case at all
Finally someone speaks about the correlation of Carl Jung, and what he said, I was keeping an eye on his relation with his Archons theory but wans´t sure about it being related to the game
30:03 Visions aren't rewards, nor are they things that help achieve a goal. They often turn up after an accomplishment but often they turn up just because a person sets their mind to a task that becomes their future path. The game says this all represents "ambition" and that's not a bad way to see it. But a reward for accomplishing a goal? No. A lot don't fit that model.
I think that's just a difference in wordplay. The essence remains the same. Vision is a reward for finding ambition which can be considered as "rebirth" in Jung's terms and I think that's a pretty accurate description.
amazing video as always! very interesting observation with connecting the glider lore with Rene’s body. However, I can’t agree with the celestial beasts=visions part because the majority of constellations of genshin characters are objects, not beings/animals. There are shields, waves, ladles… I’m still inclined to think that ordo’s members are composed of Teyvat’s matter because Egeria created them, and that was her original sin. thus I think that only pure Fontainians are native to Teyvat, while the rest of the people are created by the Primordial one, and among them only few have visions, not all of them. What’s the purpose of a vision? no idea still 😂
I propose the theory of visions might still be Archetypal, but not necessarily tied to just beasts, but of the Archetypal ideas tied to each Allogenes' ambitions which manifesting into Visions, the elemental manipulations of Allogenes/Vision holders are the subconscious which connects the original Platonic Archetypes (or in Jung's terms as "Collective Unconscious") into the physical and mental planes of Teyvat (Conscious of mental and material planes of human passivities and activities) The celestial beasts might being the more active manifestation from the realms beyond Teyvat and it's veils, which ties to the Abyss and elementals as the subconscious, as humans supposedly being made of foreign constitutions outside the cycles of Teyvat but chose to live in it, Teyvat is also being Hebrew word for "Ark" so it's acts as transitory stations for humans' journeys to different realities, I think it's like a Microcosm to the journey of HSR in it's galaxy/universe (despite of how much current limitations and unexplored worlds/planets of HSR Cosmology which also derived from Honkai Impact's own Cosmology, and people have no idea how these would goes if I elaborate further in Honkai Impact's own mechanism and inner workings which often clashes due to translation-sensitive of different Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta worlds within the original Imaginary Space (The Chinese called said Original Space as "Kong" meaning Emptiness, yet in Genshin world, you can't make something out of nothing, it's always cyclical from existing things, although Emptiness/Void in Buddhism is differentiated from "nothingness", which is 3rd formless Jhana and below limitless perception below cessation into the Emptiness of Nirvana and passed away to "The Other Shore", Samsara in Buddhism also have connotation as "Ocean of Suffering", much like how the contentious duality of Sea of Quanta and Imaginary Space operates, yet from the unity of it, much like the Jungian union of perfection between male and female, it can generates life and what's often constitutes as Acts of Creation) And just to add further, Genshin Impact might have nods to Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Confucianism and literatures, mythos, to application of studies and disciplines of different backgrounds to varying depths to each subjects and objects of topics, yet the main inspirations of Genshin Impact and even Honkaiverse as a whole have been mainly from the union of all of these from "Gnosticism", although Genshin Impact is specifically have mishmash of taking from mainly Bardaisan Gnostic with a pinch of a couple of Valentinian concepts akin to Syzygy and Sethian concepts of Archons although being reduced into local rulers instead of the cosmic horrors of the actual Sethian Gnostic origins, although the Bardaisan Gnostic concepts of Allogenes, Hymn of The Pearl, Books on Nations and others are the only recurring consistency to the main characters of the Khaenri'ah, Celestia and travelers quests', Aether and Lumine acts as Syzygy of Valentinian concept of Aeon, not necessarily in sexual begat tones, but more of the syzygy of alignment of foreign Aeons distinct from the entities, concepts and actors of Teyvat and their 'gods' to meddling and kind of disrupting the cycles, albeit temporarily, just as how The Descenders influences Teyvat
27:27 Arlecchino having a vision is not a good argument to explain why she can't be a hilichurl. She might always have been able to use the elements because of her hilichirlian nature, long before she obtained the vision. Her having one doesn't mean that she needs it to use elemental power, she could've obtained it like anyone else but in her case it's useless because she can use the elements without employing it.
Amazing video! I really have enjoyed your recent videos, keep going ^^ My only gripe is that "Narzissenkreuz" is pronounced "Narcissenkroyts" as "eu" is read as "oy" in German^^
@@KyzenEXI'm from Germany and I gotta admit German is a very difficult language to learn and to pronounce correctly. This is because we have a lot of letter combinations (for example "eu") that do not exist in other languages. Besides the German words in Genshin are really long. Most times they are not not one but multiple words that were just chained. So I think he does a good job with the pronounciation considering that the pronounciation in the game itself is not always correct either.
Both carter and Arlechino use the same form of manipulation but it’s more obvious there’s something supernatural in how cater does it, they speak thruts or pragmatic facts and the people have no choice but to accept them
27:20 Humans can use elemental magic without vision - some Emerites do it. The Illuminated beasts do it too. As do Youkai. But all of these people can also have a Vision in addition, and I suppose they could have a Vision and also a Delusion like Childe too. So I don't think having a Vision means you can't be a Hillichurl, not that I think Arlecchino is a Hillichurl. Done that already.
Eremites can't manipulate elements. They borrow it from ancient dessert spirits that are absorbed into their weapons and used. No they don't directly manipulate elements.
I believe the Eremites use weapons with fragments of spirits trapped in them (possibly genies?), you can read about it in the archive. So they still use an external source... But that doesn't mean humans can never use elemental energy without a Vision
Woah, bravo. Are the vision dangerous devices then? Are we being preying by Cosmic beasts? Are we opening cosmic rifts to reality and these beast wants to melt with us so become Gods?
narzissenkreuz is analogy to real order Rosenkreuz which was connected with Hermetism, christian mysticism and Alchemy and Kabalah. Also Arlecino is same as Harlequin: a mute character in traditional pantomime, typically masked and dressed in a diamond-patterned costume.
I _think_ the theory was that ALL humans are made of/connected to star-beasts, but allogenes are just the ones who've succeeded in finding their path which aligns with the beast. Like, if Amy had never developed her Fischl alter ego, she'd still be made of star-Oz, but she wouldn't know it or have a vision because she didn't experience her "rebirth" - the moment she found her path and gained her vision. (All humans except the ones like Jakob who were made entirely from Teyvat materials.)
Unrelated to Genshin, but Jung is mostly wrong about the Collective Unconscious, the only thing that can be classed as a collective unconscious that humans posses are the genetic memories, and they are not universal, they are the memories of only your direct bloodline.
Psychiatry is Victorian era anti-scientific nonsense like Palmistry, Animal Magnetism or Table Tapping seances. But I guess that doesn't matter to using it as the basis for a game. However, I don't think MiHoyo slavishly apply any real world lore to create their plots. That would be something like plagiarism.
Yeah, just the massive amount of influences from various mythologies, Gnosticism, and the work of several ancient philosophers shows how diverse their sources are.
even tho i like your theories and how deep they are, but the videos are so long that i can't even remember what you said in the previous section. and the flow of information and how fast you talk is insane. can u at least include a "razor language" section by the end in which u give a simplified summary.
One thing I disagree on, I think Arlecchino has a delusion not a vision, I don’t remember everything that went into my theory, but it’s basically that Childe is the only vision wielder amongst the Fatui Harbingers, which lined up with all the harbingers we’ve seen up to Arlecchino, seeing as Signora, Dottore, and until he was playable, Scaramouche all lacked visions, and we know Pantalone also does not possess one, I think Childe is unique in the way that he had a vision and a delusion. Also, even if Arlecchino does possess a pyro vision/delusion that does not mean she can’t naturally/through the nature of being a hilichurl, wield the power of another element, we already have Signora as an example of a harbinger wielding two elements, one through alchemical means, and the other through the use of a delusion
@@hlonghi Yeah upon reviewing Childe’s delusion it has the fatui symbol (for some reason I thought it just had the electro symbol) so she 100% has a vision, tho the whole elemental manipulation thing could still work for her
Weeeeeell... turns out you were wrong on the composition of Jacob... The reason why he was different was because...well he was a normal human. This is spoiler but... all people of fontaine was actually oceanids in human forms. Thats why they were different. Also, I dont think Dain is talking about the visions...I think he is talking about the Gnosises. They are the only things associated with transcendance to god hood. Every one of the Archons were something else before gaining the gnosis and gaining the divine throne. Venti was a spirit, Zhongli a half dragon, Ei and Makoto are Raijins, Nahida is an avatar of the Irminsul tree, and Focalore was an oceanid turned human. None of the characters or NPCs actually speak about possibly transcending with the power of a vision. Most are far too clueless about what they are for. The only puzzlepiece we have is the manga with Venessa...But even that is a tale told by Venti and may not be fully accurate since there might be things he cant say. But if I remember correctly, she was never shown to have a vision, we have only assumed as much. There is also another thing... Visions might not be given out by Celestia (or dragons). There is a logical inconsistancy that is showing up with the visions in fontaine. We are told Fontainians are sinners to Celestia. So why would Celestia hand out Visions to people that they saw as sinners and wanted dead? Although, I kinda doubt that Celestia really were seeing them as sinners...They did nothing for thousands of years, and didnt instigate the prophesy... Something just dont sit right there but oh well moving on. Nor could the dragons be behind it, I mean look at Apep...I doubt she is interested in handing out visions to mortals. Another thing is that, well, there exist many visions, but there really is only 7 of the gnosis...and it is theorized that bringing the gnosises together will open a portal to Celestia. It just relates better to what Dain is saying. Also... I think you are staring too hard on Childes whale... I mean look at some other charas constellations first ok? Some of them have objects. The constellations arent supposed to be images of beings and things from other worlds, but a symbol of their fate. Just because something come from a different world, doesnt mean that fate wont include it. Fate isnt the Irminsul tree. Childes constellation is the devouring whale because he would act sort of like it, constantly looking for stronger and stronger opponents to devour, and it would color his fate with the people he would come to know. Likewise we see that Klees constellation is a four leaf clover because her fate is to be happy and lucky, while Shenhes constellation show that her fate is to bear great pain in life...
I think Khaenri'ah had a problem with humans being reborn. So they granted Khaenri'ahns immortality. Now days Dainsleif is not so sure they chose right. Lets put it that way. Genshin is never black and white, its a mysterious shade of grey about everything.
My comment is positive but i will critic severly: first if you have s script, then it seems as there isnt one. 2 times you mixed up the sentences only to make a conclusion that was totally different. If i remember correctly, one time you say humans were not made from elements of teyvat, to then say they are native from teyvat?. Second, stop going from left to right of your mic, my headphones cable is broken to begin with, and hearing your voice only in one speaker triggers my tic of adjusting the cable. Third, don't forget even archons use fake visions, maybe the knave has a fake too. Why she do it? Dont know, is jyst a posibility. Finaly, this was a great video, and i do appreciate you are not telling blindly that "this character is this one because Greek myth is..." when Hoyoverse has their own cosmology and theory crafter should stick with this instead. Even if this theory is proven wrong, i will definetly do a rewatch. NOW i wonder if the language of flowers has something to do on genshin lore? For example the Narciso ( excuse me as i only remember the name in spanish right now ) in one of it many meanings, means "you sre the only one" so... Maybe it is a reference of the plan of Rene? Of making everyone a one and only oceanid? I wonder...

(Aether lived with the Jester after he arrived in Teyvat which was also years? Months? Days? Before the cataclysm. Also where are the women who were pure Khaenri’ahn?

Theory theory!
You said that visions are given by Celestial beast, what if the archons are also Celestial beast, cause we Know that almost all the Archons are not Human and are from unknown orgins, Venti being a Wisp, Zhongli being the Elder And the First adeptus, Raiden being uhhh idk, and Kusanali being uhhh idk again, but it's clear they're all non-human, so if the people of teyvat says "the Archons give the Visions" or in the lines of that, they are not fully wrong.
LET HIM COOK
I feel like I'm in class again, the professor is walking around the auditorium and whacks those who don't listen the lecture. (it's not bad, it's just how I feel 😅)
And once again my name for now remains the best theorycrafter on this platform.
I got too focused on the Narcissus and Echo myth that I forgot this was a genshin theory video
If you're right about what "it" is, then what do you think that means for the Traveller? After all they don't manifest visions, yet are still able to control the elements and resist the effects of the abyss, in addition to the fact that their constellation actively changes or is unaligned.
Aether, Lumine, The Dragons, and the Gods are all the manifestations of their own constellations. Morax IS the Constellation of Zhongli.
Note: zhongli gave eyes to azdaha
I personally have to rewatch several times... unless😏 this was the intent behind this😂
@@soullight4158 Agree. This is one of the few channels where I put the playback speed on 0.75 because he goes too fast 😂😂😂
Poor Echo. Alice really did a nimber on him 😅
the "IT" dainsleif talks about is something Halfdan did not have, if you believe that was a vision what would dainsleif vision be. See we operate from the thought that Focalors "fooled" Celestia but I dont believe that is the case at all
i see no reason why "have a vision" and "manipulate elemental ennergy by other means" would be incompatible.
an exemple for that the TRAVELER
@@Myraclesdream The traveler probably can not have vision because he is not from this world.
Or may-be, he could.
Bro the lore bombed the gnosis 😂 you all will have to make a video on it.
amazing video as always! very interesting observation with connecting the glider lore with Rene’s body. What’s the purpose of a vision? no idea still 😂
I propose the theory of visions might still be Archetypal, but not necessarily tied to just beasts, but of the Archetypal ideas tied to each Allogenes' ambitions which manifesting into Visions, the elemental manipulations of Allogenes/Vision holders are the subconscious which connects the original Platonic Archetypes (or in Jung's terms as "Collective Unconscious") into the physical and mental planes of Teyvat (Conscious of mental and material planes of human passivities and activities)
The celestial beasts might being the more active manifestation from the realms beyond Teyvat and it's veils, which ties to the Abyss and elementals as the subconscious, as humans supposedly being made of foreign constitutions outside the cycles of Teyvat but chose to live in it, Teyvat is also being Hebrew word for "Ark" so it's acts as transitory stations for humans' journeys to different realities, I think it's like a Microcosm to the journey of HSR in it's galaxy/universe (despite of how much current limitations and unexplored worlds/planets of HSR Cosmology which also derived from Honkai Impact's own Cosmology, and people have no idea how these would goes if I elaborate further in Honkai Impact's own mechanism and inner workings which often clashes due to translation-sensitive of different Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta worlds within the original Imaginary Space (The Chinese called said Original Space as "Kong" meaning Emptiness, yet in Genshin world, you can't make something out of nothing, it's always cyclical from existing things, although Emptiness/Void in Buddhism is differentiated from "nothingness", which is 3rd formless Jhana and below limitless perception below cessation into the Emptiness of Nirvana and passed away to "The Other Shore", Samsara in Buddhism also have connotation as "Ocean of Suffering", much like how the contentious duality of Sea of Quanta and Imaginary Space operates, yet from the unity of it, much like the Jungian union of perfection between male and female, it can generates life and what's often constitutes as Acts of Creation)
And just to add further, Genshin Impact might have nods to Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Confucianism and literatures, mythos, to application of studies and disciplines of different backgrounds to varying depths to each subjects and objects of topics, yet the main inspirations of Genshin Impact and even Honkaiverse as a whole have been mainly from the union of all of these from "Gnosticism", although Genshin Impact is specifically have mishmash of taking from mainly Bardaisan Gnostic with a pinch of a couple of Valentinian concepts akin to Syzygy and Sethian concepts of Archons although being reduced into local rulers instead of the cosmic horrors of the actual Sethian Gnostic origins, although the Bardaisan Gnostic concepts of Allogenes, Hymn of The Pearl, Books on Nations and others are the only recurring consistency to the main characters of the Khaenri'ah, Celestia and travelers quests', Aether and Lumine acts as Syzygy of Valentinian concept of Aeon, not necessarily in sexual begat tones, but more of the syzygy of alignment of foreign Aeons distinct from the entities, concepts and actors of Teyvat and their 'gods' to meddling and kind of disrupting the cycles, albeit temporarily, just as how The Descenders influences Teyvat
new neuvi character story actually told what are visions are , what are they and how are they given go read it
This video was a treat to watch omg
What i find odd is the way they chose to spell the little girls name. Insead of spelling it as Lénore they spell it as La-noire which means the black.
This makes me feel smart, but I don't understand anything 😭💀
that's why weapons sparkle golden upon appearing and desapearing in thin air behind characters. they're imaginary.
Awesome video ❤
πνεύμα (pneuma) in a literal sense just means breath or soul
Amazing video! I really have enjoyed your recent videos, keep going ^^ My only gripe is that "Narzissenkreuz" is pronounced "Narcissenkroyts" as "eu" is read as "oy" in German^^
Fr. It pains me so much every time I hear it being mispronounced, just like with Mondstadt and Liyue
Honestly nvm, there's no hope. Just hearing how he pronounces "hilichurl" and Lanoire's name is enough to know he doesn't care ;;
Real, my ears bleed every time I hear english VA's, it's not that hard bruh, but I guess, that's just American ignorance
I was saying it good :D, thats because im spanish maybe.
Both carter and Arlechino use the same form of manipulation but it’s more obvious there’s something supernatural in how cater does it, they speak thruts or pragmatic facts and the people have no choice but to accept them
Good job man hope you rest your voice.
Ironically the first time we actually saw someone on live receive a vision without cutting to black like the one in Aranara is the "Hydro Archon"
Does wanderer count as fading to black?
so the 'it' is basically the potential to use abysal or celestial power and become something greater then a normal human
Did I understand it clearly
But here is the catch

Again with the theme of mirrors & through the looking glass, Furina's teaser is mirror'd in its first half, cleverly referenced in 41:14
27:20 Humans can use elemental magic without vision - some Emerites do it.
And youkai and other beasts are natives of teyvat so they are already in tune with the elements. So this theory works perfectly.
Also Arlecino is same as Harlequin: a mute character in traditional pantomime, typically masked and dressed in a diamond-patterned costume.
had to put this to 0.75 speed
40:06 ??? so wouldn't every vision wielder have "it" ???? please explain I appreciate the research but the organization of information is just hell
21:15 what anime is this?
Honkai Impact 3rd, Otto Apocalypse Trailer.
maybe they can not differentiate between create, invent and craft.
So.... if allogenes are made of bits of star-beasts then are non-allogene humans just, what?
44mins ??? ❤ Thanks
Bro what ost did you use in the background?
Nvm I saw the description
is this xenogears

LETS GOOOOOOOOOO NEW VID
There is a pyro vision in her model. Unless that is a fake one and was put there to deceive us players. 😂
@@hlonghi Yeah upon reviewing Childe’s delusion it has the fatui symbol (for some reason I thought it just had the electro symbol) so she 100% has a vision, tho the whole elemental manipulation thing could still work for her
what is the quest with the disabled girl i don’t remember that?
The girl in the wheelchair appears in Yoimiya's second story quest.

Heeeyy finally
Too fast, too loud
I think Khaenri'ah had a problem with humans being reborn. So they granted Khaenri'ahns immortality. Now days Dainsleif is not so sure they chose right. Lets put it that way.
Genshin is never black and white, its a mysterious shade of grey about everything.
why are you saying hilikurls its hilichurls
Yeah I’m sorry but none of this made sense to me lmao I still don’t see how any of that psychology stuff relates to genshin
Why do you say hilicurl?
I wonder...
you complicated things instead of clearing it , so unnecessarily crowded video.
Dude, I love your videos. But please, calm down... you are starting to sound like a preacher or something lol
