Great list. I stopped buying books, CDs, DVDs, and house decor. We gave up paper towels, dryer sheets, wrapping paper and Ziploc bags as well. We use cloth bags for gifts.

Got rid of our coasters cause we now each have one a yeti that doesn’t leave spots. No other glassware. It’s great! Just found your channel love your content. 👍🏼
I as well love my Yetis- I have waaaay too many, but now I can get rid of my glasses and use the Yetis in lieu of glasses. I love how the Yetis keep liquid cold/hot without condensation around the glass. Love this idea and thanks!
I don't think I buy any of these things anymore either, but I do have some of them in my house that get a lot of use. (Seasonal decor, coasters, blankets, etc.) I try to only buy when there's a need!
When I started decluttering, I saw a video the lady said how many coffee ☕️ cups do you need I immediately got box cleaned out the cups I left few was amazed at the space it freed up. I was hooked I did my whole house expect hubby’s space finally he got on board did his zones. Love the new lifestyle lots people and family says I inspired them and they started working on their homes

@@TheArmsteadFamily been a Minimalist for 30+ yrs... since I was 29... very strict the past 15 yrs... my decor is all black, white & gray... few furniture pieces, few small, wall hangings... little but stylish wardrobe... no kitchen!
Okay so I’m much older than you and could be your parents, so I do have a coffee table and end tables but that’s the only thing on your list I do buy, except the occasional bottle water during hurricane season. I believe with young children you should celebrate holidays with a few decorations, if you don’t want them in your living area let them put them in their bedroom. I understand it’s clutter but it’s only there for a week or two and they really enjoy it. I promise they are not little for long. Mine are 25 and 30 so time will pass you buy before you know it. Just some wise words form a minimalist mom who wishes she could turn back time a do a few things over again. 🤗
Rochelle Deehl we love this response. It’s so true.. it’s really important to us to have those great memories with them. What has been great is for the holidays we can usually have very few decorations or borrow some to give them that experience without accumulating the clutter... we’ve also learned we can use “perishable” items such as pumpkins and authentic Christmas trees etc so that they can be tossed at the end.... thank you for your sweet comments they are so kind and appreciated 🖤

If you have really nice expensive wood tables, you want people to use coasters so they don't ruin the finish on my tables. It depends on the type of furniture you have.

I agree wholeheartedly with this list I also assure you side tables and living room tables are a parents living nightmare when you have toddlers. I hate visiting my family doctor for cuts and stitches!!!! Some things I've done enough of!!!!
Yes throw blankets!! Lol kids come with their dirty fingers from eating lunch and before you can wash their little sticky hands they grab it 😂 or they go towards the couch 🤦🏻♀️

Our table is a weird wood & before we got the coasters we put a cold cup and it left a circle that till this day won’t come out so we got a pack of 4 coasters and we use them every day & when we don’t use them we put it away ❤️ I completely stopped buying clothes and shoes i don’t remember the last time I bought new clothes :)! I have 4 dryer balls in my dryer and use alot of fabric softener and dryer sheets.I work in fiberglass,you are not going to want to wear the clothes again without that stuff.
I wear the same black shoes to the gym and I workout 6 days a week...one time a girl called me out wearing same shoes all the time.... I said black goes with everything why do I need many shoes...she said I have many colorful shoes that goes with my outfits... let's just say she's not fit and only wear to go Sauna she doesn't even workout 🤣.

I think you don’t need them in warmer climates. We need them, because winter time causes a lot of static. We just use dryer balls though
