    Getting a normal passive income stream, even if 100 pounds a month helps out over the year. I think many people don't realize how having a few passive income streams adds up. Congrats!

    Thank you for this honest video. I don't really like the videos where they say you are going to make $7000 a month, I like an honest video like this where you start off making $100 or $200 a month. You have got a really pleasant personality and pleasant way of speaking, I think if you did a KDP teaching course, it would be successful.

      Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a kind comment. I love that there is such a range of KDP videos out there and that people get to choose which ones suit them. I have my favourite channels based on the people running them rather than how much money they make, but other people might choose to watch particular channels because they are making a ton of cash!

    Late to the party here, just like you I sold 6 books right off the bat with 3 published books and then.... crickets so I went dormant. Then I thought that KDP is a flooded market thing kinda like rice farming here in Thailand where I live, if you do not flood the field the rice doesn't grow so I decided to make a book or 3 a month and see where that takes me. Started last month and moved to a high content book to see how that goes.
    Great video, you seem very honest and quite an earthy person thank you for that.

    My notebooks on kdp have never gotten off the ground and I'm really happy with the way they turned out so I'm not sure where i went wrong. My high content books sell really well though and I'm looking forwards to seeing how many i can sell this Q4.
    I love kdp but the advertising can be a real draw on any profits, I've come to find that a Instagram account offers the best growth funnelling traffic to Amazon rather than relying on Amazon to find any customers, paid for.
    I think the online course's are a great idea, I bought Mandy Lynn's course on book formatting this year and it was a great help.
    All the best. 😊

    Without a doubt, the best video i’ve heard about KDP review i’ve heard. It’s not always the amount of money but what the work can do for us as individuals and members of our household. Thankyou so much!

    • @SparrowsEndBusinessDiaries
      @SparrowsEndBusinessDiaries  4 месяца назад +3

      Absolutely! Not everyone needs to approach KDP as an all or nothing/10K a month or nothing enterprise. To build an income stream one baby step at a time and end up with a steady $100 a month can change someone’s circumstances as long as you give the money a “job” to do. Mine officially pays for my share of our household food. I mean that’s a big deal for me - it’s putting food on my table!
      Next stop with be building it to $200 a month and then give it another job to do. I’m thinking the gas & electric bill!

I am very interested in your scapbooking course. 🥳 congrats I love that I can pay a utility bill once a month.

I hope you’ll find my channel useful as I make money online in quite a few different ways and all of them would be suitable for supplementing a pension. I do not want you sleeping in your car! If you want a comparison the state pension in the U.K. is going to be £11,500 per year in 2024. For Canadian dollars it’s usually double the number so roughly 23K a year. I don’t know if that’s better or worse than you’re getting - you’ll have to let me know!

    Thanks for these realistic expectations of earnings. KDP seems to be over-saturated now, and they are now pushing medium-content books like puzzles, coloring books, etc. I believe the ones who got in early are the ones making good money, and the ones getting in now are not going to be able to break in really well.

    • @SparrowsEndBusinessDiaries
      @SparrowsEndBusinessDiaries  4 месяца назад +3

      It’s an interesting one and I agree to an extent. If I put out a batch of 6 notebooks usually two will start selling. If I put out 6 scrapbooks 4 or 5 usually start selling. I would imagine if I went for medium to high content they all would sell at least a few copies. I’m going to carry on experimenting this year!

    Thank you for taking the time to film/post this video. I'm also testing various income streams like eBay, Etsy, and kdp - so, your video is comforting. Now....let's talk about the elephant in the room! 100 pounds a month for groceries!??? How the heck to do you do THAT! lol

      😂 £100 each! So £200 in total for two people, though recently we’ve found it creeping up to around £225. I think in the new year we will give ourselves a new budget of £250 per month. It doesn’t include eating out or takeaways either!

    For more than a hundred low-content books, you have spent a lot of time making all of them. I only made two and I am tired already. It really doesn't matter how much time is spent on making one book. Still, the idea is as soon as it is published all you have to do is wait for the royalty to come, and that's a beautiful thing to do - waiting for money to come even without having to do anything about the books.

    The most shocking thing you said in the video is that your household only spends 200 pounds per month on groceries! 😂 I live in Spain and groceries are so expensive here now! Btw... i just started KDP in may and made $78 in july, $300 in august and $110 in September! I have one children's book, 2 coloring books and like 60 notebooks

    • @SparrowsEndBusinessDiaries

      😂 You’re not the only one to say that! I think it’s because there’s only two of us and we cook nearly everything from scratch.
      Huge congratulations on your start at KDP, that’s brilliant news. Do you have an overall goal in mind for it?

    • @everybodylovessnoopy
      @everybodylovessnoopy 8 месяцев назад +3

      @SparrowsEndBusinessDiaries ha! I cook everything from scratch, too, and it's just me and my teenage son! Maybe that's why, lol. I'm telling you, Spain isn't as cheap as it once was. 😢 well, I started thinking about doing low and medium content, but now I have a mission with these children's books, so my focus is working on a series there. I've got my second one almost finished and ready to publish. So, focusing on high-quality children's books and materials. Although my adult coloring books are selling, they take so much time, and I personally haven't figured out the trick for good coloring books using midjourney. I don't like the way they turn out.

      @@everybodylovessnoopy I have 2 teen boys and myself here in Canada and I spend $600 or more a month on food. It is crazy how expensive everything has gotten from simple things like food all the way to housing. I am a single income earner here too so I have had to find multiple income streams just to survive. Good for you on your kdp stats. I have children's books and coloring books too.

    Hey! I would definitely look into Ads more, particularly for the books that are selling well. This was really interesting to hear thank you and I think it's pretty amazing actually to have achieved that with practically zero advertising. Also, it's important to recognise some of those other things you said - which are developing other skills which are ultimately going to benefit you in other ways. 😊x

      Hi 👋🏻 Thanks so much! I watch your channel and read your blog 😀
      I’ve just started experimenting with ads - lottery campaigns spending only $5-10 a month. It’s led to only a handful of sales but has given me a lot of useful data. I’m definitely going to learn more about it going forward.

    I have 6 books up on kdp, including sudoku and halloween puzzles. The last one has been up since last year and I redid the cover this year.
    None of my books have sold at all.
    I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
    I believe the content is attractive, and I've redone keywords at times too.
    Wish I could figure out where I'm going wrong, as my books seem to be comparable to others out there.

    I would purchase that course. I found out last year that I am actually a writer. I have been working on two books that I know that people will love! The information has been just coming out of my soul. Lol. It's hard tho because I have to learn so much as well as work on writing when I feel that vibe in me. So much to learn.
