8:13 I actually like bringing this up whenever Chatot is brought up, but while it's based on a parrot on the "speech" side of things and general colours, the feet are actually precisely not parrot like. Parrots have zygodactyl feet, two toes on the front and two toes on the back.
I think Gen 4 is when cries become more unique, with 5, 6 and 7 going this way further. Also people saying Skuntank's cry is bad because Fart are the same who says Garbodor's bad because Trashbag.
I'm waiting for the "what gives a Pokémon their type(s)" video you mentioned it in the "Not psychic moves" video. I would love for you to take a crack at it, the idea seems really interesting! Keep up the good work!
IMHO they should have gone with eevee instead of pikachu for the anime in the first place. WAY better pokemon. Pikachu is just some random rat with medeocre stats and a single evo. Eevee had an amazing gimmick right from Gen 1 they've only continued to capitalize on.
@@sonario6489 i thought that only applied to the partner eevee. I might be wrong though. I do know that wild eevees didn't have the gender difference and they had a lower poly model than the partner eevee.
When I was, admittedly, younger, I always liked to think that the "Digletty, Digletty, Trio, Trio, Trio" was the arrival of two Diglett, and then a third Diglett shows up and turns them into a Dugtrio.

I will take literally any chance to talk about it I guess, but DARKRAI'S CRY. The hollow cry mixed with thick static like it's very presence is messing with radio signals just makes it feel more like the Pokémon world's spookiest cryptid.
Kinda similar to the diglett/dugtrio cry living rent free. The combination of Exeggutor and oddish rhythmically saying their names from the random breaks in the pikachu's vacation has been stuck in my brain since the mewtwo movie.

If you slow down Dusknoir’s cry, it sounds like the screams of the damned
I always thought Snover says "Inuwinu" when it cries.
wiyu wiyu
I always imagined it saying "isotope" (or ice-otope) for some reason
It is saying yu yu
4:28 palpitoad would have been so perfect there
“I’m not an Audiophile”
Of course your not a file, your a human.
I’ll see myself out.
I honestly thought he said “audio file” until I read this comment.
And I’m going to drag you back after 2 years so you can see the joke you made
@@somerandowithabirbpfp Yep, I’m proud of that one.
14:27, core memory unlocked
Just when I thought Jynx couldn’t get any more terrifying, I learn that it has ten birbs.
4:07 “Jynx has the longest cry…”
Quaquaval, Cetitan and Family of 4 Maushold: Allow us to introduce ourselves
Probopass's cry sounds like they sneeze and then says "excuse me" at the end. I always found that interesting.
8:13
I actually like bringing this up whenever Chatot is brought up, but while it's based on a parrot on the "speech" side of things and general colours, the feet are actually precisely not parrot like. Parrots have zygodactyl feet, two toes on the front and two toes on the back.
One of my favorites is Anime Electabuzz. It's just a dude yelling and going "EEEEeEEeEBLBLblbl"
Aggron has an awesome cry. Sounds like a freight train horn
I remember when i first heard stunfisk's cry i immediately thought of the "rebuild barrier" sound effect from the earlier COD zombies
I can't believe Lugia's cry from the movie wasn't mentioned. Will always be burried somewhere deep in my head
Im convinced that the cries are made from imagining how they would sound being meatgrinded
Bellsprout: I'm safe
Impossible Burgr: Think Again!
I love eevee and fearows cries, i used both in quest, a seriously underrated game, and every time they spawned in they made their cries
Eevee is my favorite pokemon, and I was so happy when they decided to make it say its name for gen 8. I fully embrace it being second mascot
IMHO they should have gone with eevee instead of pikachu for the anime in the first place. WAY better pokemon. Pikachu is just some random rat with medeocre stats and a single evo. Eevee had an amazing gimmick right from Gen 1 they've only continued to capitalize on.
@@shigeminotoge4514 I can get behind that. I think the desire to not evolve might have been more meaningful if that had been the case.
That actually first was done for Lets Go Eevee first. Same with the gender difference
@@sonario6489 i thought that only applied to the partner eevee. I might be wrong though. I do know that wild eevees didn't have the gender difference and they had a lower poly model than the partner eevee.
@@blakdeth The wild Eevee's don't have the gender difference, in Let's Go, but they do say their names.
Delphox is saying Oh My God
Jynx has the longest cry
Eternamax Eternatus: Hold my Dynamax Cannon!
When I was, admittedly, younger, I always liked to think that the "Digletty, Digletty, Trio, Trio, Trio" was the arrival of two Diglett, and then a third Diglett shows up and turns them into a Dugtrio.
I like regigigas cry it sounds like a old machine starting up
Fitting considering its ability.
Gastrodon is my favorite because it literally sounds like it is wiggling its neck at me.
I always loved that Eternatus, just him, screams "I AM AN ULTRABEAST/ALIEN/IAMAGODDAMNMONSTERFROMTHESPACEWHYDON'TTHEYDOASPACERELATEDPOKEMONGAMEIDON'TKONW"
I personally love the skunky and skunktank sounds because it sounds like raspberrys ( the sound you make when you stick your tounge out, close your mouth and blow) and I think it's cute.
Anime cries that make me laugh every time: Regigigas, Beheeyem, and Guzzlord's japanese cry. And Sobble makes me cry of cute
I will take literally any chance to talk about it I guess, but DARKRAI'S CRY.
The hollow cry mixed with thick static like it's very presence is messing with radio signals just makes it feel more like the Pokémon world's spookiest cryptid.
Probs to GameFreak for managing to make over 1000 different and unique cries for every Pokemon and their forms
"unique"
@@LilyTengoku just like the flying animations
You forgot about the iconic Regirock anime cry.
Drednaw: "I know who I am!"
Grapploct: "I smell cheese!"
Who doesn't love Grapploct's cry?
Gallade's cry is a sword slash. In Gen 4 in slashes it's sword-arms together at that moment. This detail got lost in the games that came after.
I am not the only one haunted by "diglet dig diglet dig , trio trio trio" thank you for sharing this ....
25 years on and it's still an earworm!
Krabby, if you time the replay of the cry just right, it sounds like a background beat for some music while Kingler is a more complex beat. They fun.
"I'm not much of an audiofile" -Lockstin 2021
Kinda similar to the diglett/dugtrio cry living rent free.
The combination of Exeggutor and oddish rhythmically saying their names from the random breaks in the pikachu's vacation has been stuck in my brain since the mewtwo movie.
every pokemon cries when they enter battle, why are they so sad?
Cause they 'bout to faint.
Or cuz they are forced to work
They sound more like somebody stepped on their tails or something equally painful.
Stuffuls cry is indeed the cutest one in existence and you can't change my mind on it either. The first time I encountered it during a trainer battle in Sun my eyes teared up over how cute it was and I know I needed that pokemon on my team!
7:24 really got me with that seductive voice
Gen 1 and 2 pokémon sound like broken computer.
