    Question : what is one piece of gear you wish you had when you started training?

    The best idea is to get wraps and ask the coach on the first training if he can help out with the gear ;).

      @FirstStrikeAthletics I have a question. For Muay Thai K1 Sanshou etc what weight gloves should you wear if you heavyweight 110-120kg?

    so basically, all glove sizes are the same, the oz just tell us how much padding are in it?

    • @FirstStrikeAthletics
      @FirstStrikeAthletics  3 года назад +2

      For the most part, yes. There are definitely some gloves out there with smaller hand compartments (like Top King). The weight of the glove is primarily what you should be paying attention to when buying. Obviously make sure your hand fits inside tom though!

    ..i am 150lb, I just want to clarify is 14 oz a good all around gloves

    • @FirstStrikeAthletics
      @FirstStrikeAthletics  2 года назад +2

      Depends on how hard you hit! And the make of the glove.
      If you’re sparring with more than light strikes I’d opt for 16oz.

    Hi, will a 45 kilo guy like me still use 16 oz for sparring?

    • @FirstStrikeAthletics
      @FirstStrikeAthletics  3 года назад +1

      I’m sure you could get away with using 14 or perhaps even 12oz gloves depending on the padding. As always check with your coach first!
