@@CombatCultureUSA Hello sir. Interesting channel. I am on a Budget & i have a choice between Rdx or Title. Just wanted your opinion on which one to choose? Thank you for your Time. Look forward to hearing your response.
I'm punching the heavy bag with bag mitts. That and fist pushups have made my hands pretty hard and resilient now I can punch full power in almost anything and not feel pain and discomfort. The old boxers use to punch bags with mitts only so the hands would become hard as stone. For training mitts and sparring i use Fairtex BGV6 and they suit me well.
Hayabusa T3 were the first gloves I purchased and IMO the best beginners glove. Fantastic wrist support, super snug, and great knuckle protection. Two years later and they are still in great condition. Only problem I have with them is that they don't offer very good feedback. I now use Cleto Reyes gloves just because I like the sound of "pop" when i'm doing bag work haha

Similar to most hobbies beginners dont know if they if still do it a year later, so spending 170 bucks is kinda risky. So I would consider cheaper ones for the first 6 months and during that time you can also try out different gloves and finding out what you prefer (oz, wrist protection etc.).
I'm actually loving my Champion (?) Red White and Blue Heavy Hitters 14 Oz in velcro. They're a pretty fantastic Winning clone that's only $130. I just looked at their website and couldn't find my glove available on their website. They're really well balanced and padding is great. My knuckles are never sore. Thanks for subscribing. I'm a fan of genuine leather, as they typically last longer and offer better odor control, but if you're just getting started, either one will do just fine!
I purchased a pair of Venum Devil gloves, I like the cushion for sparring, but the velcro gave out after 4 months, which Venum refuses to help with cause it's past their 1 month warranty. Not saying they're not good gloves, but I'd be wary.

And my wrist was consistently under-supported. I do not recommend spending that little money on gloves if you plan to hit the heavy bag hard!
For sure, there's ton of members at my gym who spar / train with Cleto's. Just be aware that there is a break in period, how long, differs from person to person. Great gloves all around!
I'm deciding between Fairtex BGV1 and Cleto Reyers. Can you please tell me which one has a snug fit from inside? Is Fairtex smaller externally but bigger inside?
@@CombatCultureUSA thanks for your reply. I ended up buying both. The Fairtex BGV1 is a little bigger than the Cleto Reyes Precision Gloves. The BGV1 Falcon is softer with thinner leather. The Reyes are real thick but after some Vaseline it's more comfortable. Cleto weight is more accurate than BGV1, which is 2oz overweight. I'm keeping both.
So, I know people prefer different weight gloves for different things. I have two pairs of 16's but I've heard people say you should bag work with lighter weight gloves or hand wraps from time to time on the bag to improve form and strengthen your knuckles? what weight should I be looking at? 10 or 12 oz gloves?
There are otherways to strengthen ur wrists and knuckles. I recommend using the heaviest gloves u can find(16) to Develop power and endurance in those shoulders to begin with, because later when u switch to lighter gloves ur speed and power will be insane.
Fairtex and Reyes are close for me. They hurt when you train for a long period haha. You need to get used to the thin knuckle padding. Fairtex got the better wrist support in my oppinion.
Nice pair of winnings. One brand that reminded me of the fit, finish and quality of winnings, is a glove from SABAS, but for the fraction of what you’d pay for winnings. My favorite glove for feel and feedback is the Rival RS100 and the venum hammer (signature glove for Lomachenko). Both happen to be very good looking gloves too, if that matters.
I’m 5’9 and 152 with probably a little smaller than average hands, I’m looking at yokkao 14oz, would that be a smaller glove for a good fit? And be allowed in western boxing since it’s a Muay Thai glove?
The Yokkao's I have are 12oz and they fit pretty snug, and I don't have large hands either. I think with hand wraps on, you should be fine with 14oz Yokkao's. To answer your second question, you should be fine to spar / train western boxing with Yokkao's, competing would be a different story and up to the folks holding the event (and you'll likely need 16oz). Hope that helps!
Hey! I've used them for sparring and had no trouble with clinching or catching kicks. They are a bit stiff compared to some other gloves I've used (Fairtex, Winnings, Boons), so you can't open your hand as much, but not enough to cause any issues. Wrist support is great, but taking them on and off can be a pain because of the double straps.
I can clearly see that the twins are very thickly padded, are they wide? It will be difficult for the stabbing blows to penetrate between the two hands of the one and a half.. Doesn't it bother you that the gloves are so thick?

Thoughts on hayabusa s4? Not looking to spend on pricier side but seems like that brand can have longevity, especially if I’m only just starting out and using for training twice a week. Just want to hear your thoughts. This gives me something to think about 😀
What boxing gloves would you recommend? Now I have venum, it didn't even last a year, it's falling apart. The stuffing is very soft. I'm thinking 10 OZ. Ben Lee, adidas? Katsudo? Price around 60 euros.. Thank you
About to get started in muay thai training. Do you know which size is best for me? Afraid 16oz might be too big.. but also afraid 14oz will be too tight if i wear handwraps!! (Im 5ft8 and weigh 150lbs & Im considering the Hayabusa s4 if that helps). What do you think?
What size would you recommend for the hayabusa gloves since they inky come in 12oz and 16oz. Im 200 pounds. And what size were the ones in the video. Thanks!! Subbed!!
We appreciate the sub 🙏🏼. The Hayabusas in the video were 16oz, I’d recommend the same for you as well. Not only will it be better conditioning for you but it’ll last you longer as well. Happy training 👊🏼
Plenty to choose from depending on your price range. Traditional boxing brands will likely offer more wrist protection than Muay Thai brands, but that’s not always the case. My main recommendation would be lace ups for stability.
Question: Shipped to my door the Cleto Reyes Training Gloves is about $70 more than a pair of Hayabusa T3 (regular version). I'll be using them for basic boxing training (no sparring), which would buy? I know it's personal choice just curious what your personal choice would be. I'm 5'7" 150 lbs if that helps any
I think the T3 are a better value but I’ve never owned a pair. I have 5 year old pair of cletos that feel like they are about done. You almost have to have bring 2 gloves to the gym for awhile to break the cletos in because your hand will start hurt after a couple of rounds. I would estimate the cletos need probably 72 rounds on the bag to break in
Hey great video, can I ask what weight and brand gloves you use for normal pad and bag work? Boon seems to be a good choice from reviews, would they be a good choice for pad and bag? Yokkao is another brand I am looking at due to my smaller hands, what do you think about them?
12 oz winnings are my go to's. I use my Boon's mostly for sparring, but have done pad work with them on before and they felt great. I spent a few months using Yokkao's and I thought they great. They're smaller than the Boons so they're easier to carry around and will probably fit your hands better.
@@CombatCultureUSA thank you for the reply! The winnings are so nice, especially in the clean white color. How are boxing gloves for pad and bag work? Are they better than traditional muay thai gloves? I purchased the 12oz boon compact due to the positive reviews, as I heard those are good if you want a snug fit. But for my next pair, I might consider a boxers glove in 12oz. I dont plan to compete so I dont necessarily need to train in 12oz muay thai gloves. By the way, do you have any recommendations for shin guard?
Also I made the mistake of buying the buakaw gloves from thailand before. My thumbs are swimming in those! They have a great broken in feeling out the box, but leather quality was not as I expected. Smelled like a new football leather for some reason
Hey just started getting into boxing/mma and I’m like obsessed. I went from weight training everyday to this everyday and holy crap I literally cannot stop fighting. So onto my question, that is a sick shirt. Can I purchase anywhere?
you need to try "ringside" brand laced gloves for sparring , people be sleeping on these gloves , so comfortable and doesn't have your hand feeling cuffed like cleto reyes , also "winning" brand are good too , they are very safe for your hands
Out of the three, I've only used Cleto's and I break them out on occasion but for whatever reason, they don't fit my hands well. However, I have a lot of training partners who spar / train with Cleto's exclusively, so if I were to recommend, i'd have to say Cleto's.
Hello, I like your video about gloves. I have a problem. I am 171 cm tall and weigh 76 kg. I don’t know if CLETO REYES’s magic carpet gloves use 12oz or 14oz. Could you please give me some suggestions? thank you
I have a Question please: I just bought Boxing gloves 8 onz, when I wear them I can feel the heart beat in my hands, is that normal or is this a sign that they are too tight? i wear them without a hand warp. They would never fit with warps, even with thin ones. Many thanks for your videos, they are great.
Important question to ask is what is your style. I’m a heavy hook .. I use my fore arms to block a lot.. I’m a puncher.. the cleto Reyes fit be best.. Not saying other brands aren’t good it’s just what works for me.. I use the cleto for Muay Thai .. as my sparring glove .. my training glove i use an apex title .. been wanting some venum
@@daveyponderosa9549 which fairtex model have you used? i heard the bgv9's are very similar to reyes? i train in only boxing so im looking for more of a pure boxing glove

I’m 5,10 and 130lbs and I’ve used the same pair of 16 oz for sparring for ab 2 years and it just takes a bit of getting used to.
can you do clinching and open hands with Hayabusa T3 LX ?
I was thinking about getting Grant Professional Boxing Gloves for Competition Fights or cleto Reyes or some rivals gloves but I’m not really sure what’s best for hat work or actually getting in the ring and I’m 15 I don’t gotta lot of money so I wanna make sure I make the right descion.
Thank you
how is venum 10oz gloves for sparring and heavy bag work?
To small for sparing, 12 are super minimum, but 14 and 16 better. So if u want uniwersal, chose 12 oz ✌️
How about Grant Gloves?
Haven't tried them personally, but plan to include them in the next review video!
I’ve never owned them, but teammates of mine swear by them.
Grant…..you can’t go wrong.
No one reviews them cause no one can afford them Haha. But seriously you can’t go wrong
@@fififornow8031 is that their slogan?
@@s3bast1aannn no theyre just great gloves. Probably best in the boxing world
What oz was the winnings you showed us in the video?
12 oz
If im doing heavy bag workouts, sparr, and pad work, can a 10oz work? Or 12
10 / 12 for bag and pad work, I'd recommend 16's for sparring
About to get started in muay thai training.
Do you know which size is best for me? Afraid 16oz might be too big.. but also afraid 14oz will be too tight if i wear handwraps!! (Im 5ft8 and weigh 150lbs & Im considering the Hayabusa s4 if that helps). What do you think?
For training, you usually want to go with a 12 ounce glove.
Do you have merch?
What's the best for someone with bad wrists from boxing please?
Plenty to choose from depending on your price range. Traditional boxing brands will likely offer more wrist protection than Muay Thai brands, but that’s not always the case.
My main recommendation would be lace ups for stability.
@@CombatCultureUSA thanks dude appreciate it. Never even considered lace up. Will have a look
Venum, twins, yokkao, everlast, and raja the best.
No mention of winning?

Yokkao
I would estimate the cletos need probably 72 rounds on the bag to break in
What boxing gloves where you can make a tight fist wearing it?
I like my Fairtex but I might need to upgrade soon. They got smelly bcus in the beginning I didn’t take care of them lol
Let us know if you need help picking a new pair 😎
Hands wraps help with that. They are what sticks are to shoes. You don't want to smell your shoes after wearing them without socks lol
Get glove deodorant
Cleto reyes, top boxer and fortress are the ones I'm looking at. I need a pair for sparring and a pair for bag work. Which would you recommend?
you need to try "ringside" brand laced gloves for sparring , people be sleeping on these gloves , so comfortable and doesn't have your hand feeling cuffed like cleto reyes , also "winning" brand are good too , they are very safe for your hands
8 or 10 oz with laces are pro boxing gloves to train use heavier gloves depending your weight and hands size
Does the brand matter a lot? Or should I look for any type of brands?
do u think the Hayabusas or cleto reyes in 14oz r better for bag and pads?
I like Cleto's better for bag and pad work, but Hayabusa's if I'm sparring w/ clinch. Cleto's are great for box sparring!
Love my Hayabusas for sparring and my Fairtex for bag and pad work.
Just my 2cents worth.
@@daveyponderosa9549 which fairtex model have you used? i heard the bgv9's are very similar to reyes?
i train in only boxing so im looking for more of a pure boxing glove

BG V9 16oz
Love them.
I do MT, it we also have strictly BOXING there too. So I guess I do both.
Went to MT from BOXING.
Where can i get the Hyabusa's, Cleto reyes, or winnings for a decent price in the UK?
Hey I just started Boxing around a month ago and I'm thinking of getting Venum Ringhorns, I'm not sure if they are good though what do you guys think?
Im going to get the CLETO
What about topking?
does anyone actually recommend twins or yokkao for just solet boxing and heavy bag work.
Hi could you please do a review on 3xsports boxing gloves
if i’m getting fairtex bgv1 and i’m 5’10 165 should i gets 14s or 16s for a training glove
I really don't know whether to go for boon or cleto reyes. If they are comparable then I'll go for Boon coz of the price, but if Cleto Reyes are noticably better then I'm willing to pay more for the better quality
Did you purchase the boon gloves? If yes, how is your experience with them :)
@@samuelhoffmann9504 got the cleto's pretty great
@@harryflowerdew5186 Hey bro where did you get your cletos from I know theres a usa site but I live in a different country and the shipping fee is 215 dollars so I’ve been looking for another place that sells authentic and not fake ones but haven’t had any luck do you know any places I could buy them?
Hey! Is there any good cheap and also good quality Boxing gloves That are like 35?.
Maybe not 35 but around there are the sanabul battle forged gloves they’re really good
Hi, at that price point I'd suggest the TITLE Pro Style Leather Training Gloves 3.0. They retail for about $39.99, but you can get 20% off if you sign up on Title's website. They're solid gloves that have lasted me for years and are usually the go to pair of gloves I recommend students who are just starting off. Let us know what you end up buying!
@@CombatCultureUSA Okay thank you, I'll buy title. thank you for responding.
as a muay thai fighter of 15 years, i prefer yokkao gloves and fairtex
what do you suggest for the weight of a pair of yokkao? is 12 oz good for beginner? or 8 oz?
@@patboy24 Get 16oz gloves…most gyms require 16oz for sparring and training
Just noticed i have the same glove deodorisers as you, i'm thinking of buying the t3's in the far future.
Are all of those gloves yours?? are they all 16oz all??
How about fly boxing gloves?
Hi, thank's so much for the review! I'm currently looking for a new pair of boxing gloves for kickboxing and I'm still not sure which to buy :/ Do you maybe have some recomendations what I should look out for at around 100$? (Or a bit higher if you estimate it's better to invest some money) Because I'm not sure if I should rather chose Thai or boxing gloves.. Thank's in advance👍🏼
Ring to cage c17 or fighting gloves
At $100 you have quiet a few choices to choose from. Fairtex, Boon, Twins, Yokkoa's are all around that price point on the Muay Thai side, Venum's are more of a hybrid between the two but were my main go to's for a few months.
I'd suggest asking some of your gym mates if you could try their gloves on and see which ones fit your hands the best, and then decide from there.
Let us know what you end up getting!
@@CombatCultureUSA Hey, thank's a lot for your answer! I ended up going with Hayabusa S4's and at the moment they are great👍🏼
So Fairtex is the smallest/most compact 16oz gloves?
What about for actually fighting what are best I’m 115 pounds
