    From training mma but growing up watching boxing and hitting a heavy bag, I can say that MMA coach Trevor Wittman makes the best glove. He created it himself to prevent hand breaks. The brand is called “ONX” , the gloves are extremely expensive, but they’re the best glove out there for sure!

      Have to get me a pair one day!

    • @_Andy7l0
      @_Andy7l0 Год назад +5

      @@SENSEIJASON They’re very good! They’re have a heat mold technology where you heat the glove up when it’s on and open/close your hand and it’ll mold to your hand and knuckle shape. It’s the only glove out rn that’s recommended/safe to wear without a wrap. They’re actually intended to eliminate the need for wraps all together! Some of the tech is a cross leather portion of the glove shaped like an “X” on the back hand on the glove which when tightening the two strap glove, becomes interlocked and tightly wrapped to your hand, to eliminate any excess bulk or squareness to the glove. His glove sort of looks like a round soccer ball lol but it’s a design that plenty of UFC fighters in his training use! Hope this helped!

    Hi! Quick question. Semi-contact karate, being an extremely fast martial art, do you think it is good for endomorph people?
    Because this type of body, being heavier than the others, is generally slower and less agile

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 года назад +4

    I have a Question please: I just bought Boxing gloves 8 onz, when I wear them I can feel the heart beat in my hands, is that normal or is this a sign that they are too tight? i wear them without a hand warp. They would never fit with warps, even with thin ones.
    Many thanks for your videos, they are great.

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 года назад +3

      It is common for gloves to feel tight even painful when you first buy them. Just keep using them and they will break in overtime and should fit perfect. You can try to do knuckle push ups with them to soften them up.

  • @Andrew-qh2ub
    @Andrew-qh2ub 2 года назад +2

    In my opinion these would be my favorite beginner gloves but if I went pro I would choose Cleto Reyes or winning something like that

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 года назад +5

      I mean, it’s not always about the gear, maybe if you are on a professional level. But for any hobbyist or lifestyle martial artist these work great! You can have the most expensive gloves on the market, but if you don’t know how to punch it is a total waste of money. Much better to focus on technique. The gloves are just an add on. As many fighters used bare fist back in the day. And karate use makiwara bare knuckle.

    • @crimsonfalcon07
      @crimsonfalcon07 Год назад

      Don't get any of these. If you have arthritis, Ring To Cage C17s are far and away the best options short of Winning, which cost $400. You'll feel the difference in your joints immediately between them.

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  Год назад

      @crimsonfalcon07 I mean not everyone is prepared to drop $400 on some gloves. I’d say if you know you are in it for the long run, and you’ve built up quite some experience, by all means get some winnings. But for the average joe, good technique will be much more effective at reducing wrist pain.

    • @crimsonfalcon07
      @crimsonfalcon07 Год назад

      @@SENSEIJASON that was the point of recommending R2C C17's instead of $400 Winning gloves. They're unbeatable value when it comes to protecting your joints IMO.

    I'm aware that the majority of the gloves are aimed at beginners but what would you recommend is the best for intermediate/advanced kickboxing?

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 года назад +3

      Top of the top would be Winning. That’s would I would get, if I really wanted to. But I don’t always have someone to tie my gloves for me.
      And honestly I come from a bare knuckle background (karate) often striking makiwara (wooden board) bare fist.
      Ultimately what matters the most is the technique and conditioning of one’s fist.
      I personally like Yokkao gloves and fairtex.
      Their quality is appropriate for all skill levels.
      Again, think about the person or the fighter who wears the gloves rather than the gloves themselves.
      Imagine if you gave Floyd Mayweather a pair of $50 gloves, would he instantly suck? No, his skill would resonate in whatever gloves he put on.
      On the other hand if you have a complete noob a pair of $500 winning gloves, do you think they would make him a champ?
      These are the more important questions. As far as kickboxing I would stick with Fairtex bgv1, and select yokkao gloves.

    Fairtex makes high quality gloves I actually own the Fairtex Bgv1. For protection for the wrist the BGV1 are not the best It hurts my knuckles everytime I hit the bag. Some that have great protection are the Outslayer ON1 for boxing not the Muay Thai ones they sell.

    Fairtex: is soso TBH. Its a classic glove but the thumb is exposed and can be easily caught on a bag or pad during training leading to injuries.
    Ringside: I haven't tried... but, IMF (Injection Mold Foam) is actually the cheapest way to manufacture gloves. It gives you a single density of foam which is not ideal since you are not able to control padding density (i.e. softer on the inside to cushion your hand and firm in the middle for protection and support).
    Hayabusa is always quality. And you pay for it. But a nice product.
    Venum is just over-priced trash. They have "nicer" stuff, but I have never been very impressed... the particular glove here is manufactured in china for about $10.
    Sanabul: I have never tried, but they manufacture in Pakistan which generally does good work... so assume it is decent.

    Why do you buy 14 once gloves?

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 года назад +8

      I think it’s the best overall glove oz on the market. Good for bag work, mitts, and light sparring. I have 10 oz yokkao gloves, that feel good, almost weightless. I like to feel a little weight on my hands to give me some resistance when I’m working out. So the 14oz gloves work well for my needs. 16 oz is way too bulky for bagwork. At the end of the day, it depends on what suits your needs. Thanks for the question!

      Just looked it up, and I’d say yeah if that’s what you prioritize the wrist support. But I actually come from a karate background using a lot of bare knuckle, so I’ve trained my technique well enough not to eff up my wrists. I like the bgv1 because they offer more flexibility at the cuff in order for more clinching or grappling. Bgv1 also looks way more minimal compared to the bgv6. Just my opinion

      @SENSEIJASON Ringside is garbage. Absolutely cheap, fitness level boxing gloves now marketed for those trying to lose weight but not actually box. Step into an actual boxing club and pretend gloves are simply not worn. Great if you are starting out losing a few pounds with light hlbag work. Any sustained orvreal bag, mitt, or God forbide sparring, and this junk doesn't hold up.

      @user-sn1lu5yi6r Okay now I understand where you’re coming from.
      This video was catered to hobbyists and enthusiasts, rather than aficionados.
      Nothing wrong with being an aficionado, I just believed that these top 5 gloves would cater to a larger audience, since most do not have the budget, time, dedication to buy a pair of winnings, Reyes, Hit N Move.
      For me I am a total gear head, but it comes with a cost as you may already know.
      I may do a video of gloves over $200 in the future as I amass a larger collection.
