Yes but i think The hollywood vampires california usa are the best of the best of the world South ❤️ florida hollywood and N M B Miami ❤ hollywood vampires alice cooper and johnny Depp dior and Savage Fenty so much for the opportunity to get together with you and im honored blessed and happy to be your wife Love Free bird and Dreamweaver ❤
Por supuesto, el talento que tienen, la forma de tocar y componer no es equivalente a nadie en este mundo, me gustaba más con peter Gabriel en los vocales…
The transition into Second Home By the Sea always makes me smile. There is nothing better than experiencing this live. The music, lighting and atmosphere gives you chills.
Neil Peart: Phil Collins was an enormous influence on my drumming in the '70s, and thus remains a part of my playing even today. His recorded drum parts with Genesis and Brand X in those years were technically accomplished, yet so musical - even lyrical. His rhythmic patterns were woven into the intricacy of the music, while lending a smooth, fluid pulse to the songs and extended instrumentals. His fills were imaginative and exciting, alive with energy and variety, while the refined technique was always in the service of the music. Even within those fills, Phil applied a jazz drummer's sense of dynamics, which also guided his ensemble playing, and inspired me to try to incorporate that sensibility into my own triple-f approach.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
My boy Phil is outright beyond epic, and we have all just witnessed yet another utterly off the charts and above and beyond of other musicians' abilities performance.
This is a true statement for Genisis... Phil , You are truly an ICON, Mike also... All of you. Don't ever stop performing.. You've developed that HOME BY THE SEA and nothing wil ever replace that... Phil, Don't let that Lamb Lie Down On Brodway..... Play On!!!!!
Such a high-level live performance. I´ve been a big fan of Genesis for so many years now and still they amaze me with their live performances over and over again. Such precision and perfection in every aspect. Not many bands are so good live.
I moved to Kent, WA in Aug. 1985 into this apartment on the East Hill where I had a view to the west, of the Olympic Mts. and you could barely see part of Puget Sound (Pacific Ocean). This immediately became my song! It was about 12 miles to the sea but it was much closer to it then where I came from!
Thank you for this fabulous video. I cried when I read the lyric for the first times, as a song writer this song is incredible. When a writer can go to that place it is a gift and cruse at the same time. Folks who have experienced that know what i am saying; I believe in my heart Genesis experienced that when creating this piece of work. Genesis you kicked ass! Thank you for giving the world this fabulous delivery and gift you all have. I feel every bit of your souls. Thank yousaffi01. Lisa
Always an amazing show to see live, I saw them live a few times & they were stunning every single time!......All back in the days when there were some truly magnificent musicians around producing truly magnificent shows & we were spoiled rotten for choice of who to go & see sometimes.
What ever version of home bye the sea ore second home bye the sea it's just genius this band genesis were the masters of timing choreography that wonderful melodic sound which they had through out the year's i keep saying that genesis were the best band ever and I stand bye my statement what a shame we won't see them again on stage absolutely fantastic genius 😅
Genesis is the Ultimate band of the 80s that can never be beaten by these new bands of 2012. Now this is real music that everyone can relate to. It sure takes you back in time to the 80s were music was awesome and not the mess that you here in the year 2000. Thanks for the upload saffi01. I can not wait to see more of your awesome collection. Hardcore Genesis fan forever till the day I die.
The studio version is good, but the live version is rungs above. A bit heavier, crunchier more nuanced, etc. I like the extra bass fills that Stuermer supplies. An example of a song(s) that evolved on tour. I realize this is still not "classic" Genesis to the fans who prefer the PG/Hackett era, but for those of us who like PC at least as much...sublime!!
I dont really agree. im not one of those who always thinks studio version are the best but the voice sounds better in the studio compared to live version.
The best moment in this song is when Daryl adds the moog Taurus pedals. I was at giants stadium, in late May of 1987, and although it is not this tour, same song. My bones were vibrating because of how loud they had the volume. The heavy wet base of the moog pedals served as the source. From that day forward it's my favorite portion of the song. ❤️
As someone who prefers Gabriel/Hackett era Genesis, I can seriously say I agree with you quite a bit. Abacab and S/T had highlights that us prog nuts can really enjoy.
Sad that Premiere TV is no longer. It's translated into Sky a couple of years ago. Still pay TV. But they didnt Show music concerts till than.sad sad. This Genesis Concert Rocks. Taped it on Video. Lost it. Didnt have it on DVD.
I was there, fantastic concert and Phil Collins was about 1 inch tall from where we were sitting up the left side. getting out was like charge of the light brigade all those cars charging for the exits.we sat and waited an hour to get out.will never forget this concert, thanks for the memories Saffi01 cheers
i am just w/o words! he came 2 albany, ny when this album (yes album) was out! what a performance - luv by brother (fellow AFRICAN-AMERICAN) w/his performance of drums!
Genesis was awesome to see in the 1980"s. Every one in the band was so good at what they did and Phil Collins was the consummate entertainer! Saw them 12 times and every show was GREAT! Never disappointed!
You are right... I drew a line under it all after the Wembley shows in 87 .. it was not going to get better and the albums that followed were ok, but Phil was really a solo artist by then.. I have no desire to spend £100 plus watching him in a wheelchair or seeing his son on drums , wish them and all the fans well.. the Lamb tour with PG will always be my best gig ever....
WHAT AN EPIC PIECE OF MUSIC! FOR MY EARS GENESIS WAS JUST SUPERLATIVE IN EVERY WAY....NO MATTER WHO WAS FRONTING IT-----PETER GABRIEL, PHIL COLLINS.....HECK I STILL ENJOYED THE ALBUM WITH RAY WILSON---AND YES, I KNOW HE WAS NOT IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS HIS TWO PREDECESSORS----BUT EVEN A TRUNCATED GENESIS IS STILL WORTH LISTENING TO. IN ANY EVENT, THEY WERE GREAT....AND I LOVED TONY BANKS KEYBOARD WORK. THEY ARE ALL MISSED..
My favorite version of this song is the one they did on the Invisible Touch tour (mostly becuz I think Mike's playing & tone were a little better) but this was still a very solid performance.
Phil's introduction is a bit silly (in my opinion) but it almost compels you to keep watching ... ... and good if you keep watching ,,, because this is a real great live performance of 'Home By The Sea' !! Thanks so much for uploading this full live version :)
I was there, was a fantastic atmosphere. I was 6 months pregnant and went on the back of a motor bike. Would of loved to of been able to of reached the front...
The We Can't Dance tour stopped in my home city of Pittsburgh, at since-demolished Three Rivers Stadium, where the Pirates and Steelers used to play. One evening I opened my window and heard what I thought was someone blasting "Home By the Sea" on a stereo a few blocks away. It seemed strange, since the song was 5 yrs. old & wasn't being played on the radio anymore. It wasn't till later I realized what I'd heard had been the band themselves, playing the song live at the stadium 2 miles away.
Genesis at their Best! What's not To Love. Just sensational. So glad it was my era! Lifts you to another planet! Brexit be damned. Europe hates us because we have the Best Bands in the World and have done for 40-50 years!
It wasn't Phil's final concert with Genesis as they toured the UK arenas and theatres in the fall of 1992. Also, the audience at Knebworth was 100,000-120,000 (which is not too shabby anyway!). Nevertheless, HUGE thanks for posting the whole sequence including the intro. That's something only true fans do and it's great of you to share this!
Brilliant 🌟 We have been blessed ❤
Genesis is the best band in the world.

I won't argue the point. Rush is pretty damn great as well.
This is like arguing if hambugers are better than burritos. Both are trully amazing.

Probably one of the best groups that could perform live. you don't see that much anymore...
BEST VERSION!!!! I love Phil...saw him twice...shooting to see him on this tour. Have a feeling it's his last 😢. My old man. Getting old sux azz.
I never expect anything less than my favorite musician, Mr. Tony Banks, but wow, Genesis is a gift, thank you gents!!
One if my favorite songs from genesis 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My favorite version of this song.
One of the best songs ever, from the greatest decade ever!
Llllllllllllllllllllllllp lolghgg
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Franco Jalen instablaster =)
Love this song and I love the audience participation time!!!!
Thank you
This concert is even better than the DVD. Just a shame they didn't put this on DVD. Thanks so much for putting this on youtube!!
Agreed. The Earls court DVD is good but you can't beat playing in front of 100 thousand fans at the premier outdoor concert venue in the UK
My boy Phil is outright beyond epic, and we have all just witnessed yet another utterly off the charts and above and beyond of other musicians' abilities performance.
I so agree 100%
Banda linda e além do mais sou louca por essa música. Enfim, doida pelo Phil e amo a banda.
Merci monsieur phil Collins pour votre talent et pour tous ces merveilleux souvenirs que vous me laissez vivre...
Genesis' best 80s song by a mile. It's up there with the best from the 70s.
This whole song is in the zone amazing
This is a true statement for Genisis... Phil , You are truly an ICON, Mike also... All of you. Don't ever stop performing.. You've developed that HOME BY THE SEA and nothing wil ever replace that... Phil, Don't let that Lamb Lie Down On Brodway..... Play On!!!!!
Incorporeally beautiful - i am at a loss for words..
Phil Collins knows how to put one heck of a show on! I really want to go to one of his shows!
Hes an invalid now sorry
Genesis reunion late this year!
These songs are top of the 80s material, absolutely fucking awesome. And how cool are the animations on the screens?
La mejor banda de la historia!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Love this show. Got to see them on Invisible Touch Tour in Chicago, a long time ago.
Such a high-level live performance. I´ve been a big fan of Genesis for so many years now and still they amaze me with their live performances over and over again. Such precision and perfection in every aspect. Not many bands are so good live.
Siempre vigentes y sus shows son imperdibles y monumentales.
I love how "in the zone" Phil looks while drumming!
Por si queda alguna duda es el mejor cantante del mundo!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jamais haverá um cantor como Phill Collins.
Absolutely perfect in every way.
This was a awesome tour. One of the best bands ever formed along with Rush & YES. They don’t make them like this anymore.
Nice shout out to RUSH and YES!!!!!
Uno de los grandes e históricos Conciertos de la gran y legendaria Banda musical Génesis 😊

Un gran y selecto Concierto Historico del Rock😊
As I stumble through life wondering why, moments like this song intertwine my wounded soul with the temporarily harmonious universe.
An-unique-verse!
Oh grow up & stop feeling sorry for yourself
@@SuzyQ334 I did. That was 4 years ago, when I was only 13.
@@SuzyQ334 Oh grow up and stop berating people for leaving comments on RUclips to make yourself feel superior.
just a great front man who was a world class drummer. so underated in all ways.
I was lucky enough to see Phil do this live some time ago! Great show!
The instrumental is the most exciting I've heard.
Saw this tour @ BMO Field in Toronto, FUKK'N BRILLIANT!!!! :)
I love the drum solo !!!!!!!!!
Favorite Genesis song ever

The video imagery in this song at the concert with the jumbo tron screens was amazing to say the least.
Imagine performing in front of a throng that size. Amazing.
Tony bank is incredibly talented !, his keyboard work at 11:10 is brilliant, 2 pieces on 2 keyboards at the same time!
