After listening to this track, I have 3 points to make : 1) I am convinced that Mike Rutherford is one of THE MOST underrated guitarists ! The solo towards the end was simply fantastic, It was totally different from the original song but great improvising ! 2) Home by the sea / Second home by the sea are some of the most beautiful tracks. Sure there is a lot of music out there but these 2 tracks are simply mind blowing. Phil's drumming is one of the best. 3) Genesis is one of the best prog rock bands !
Mike's a.. Bassist at best. Ain't no gunslinger as a lead guitarist. So what That's to the likes of me why Daryl n Chester were more than welcomed into the fold. Top most fellas.

For me, this was progression, and a bit of the past mixed with a bit of the present and beyond. A vocal and musical masterpiece done by all on stage. Absolutely brilliant from one of our all time supergroups!!!

bonham is fantastic.. and this is very different.. but i agree. for me personally: i get unreasonably happy when i watch phil play. it goes straight to my heart a little more than everyone else does

I saw Genesis in 2007 in Denver and video will NEVER do this song justice. It is an amazing experience to see them perform this live. Phil Collins is one of the top 3 drummers in history (the other 2 being Neal Peart from Rush and Led Zepplin's John Bonham). There are none better.
That smile from Chester Thompson towards Phil Collins @03:36 says it all. Awesome bandmates loving each other and playing like gods without any flaw, enjoying everything they play together.
Have followed and Loved GENESIS for 40 years and they are just as Good as it gets! Tony Banks is on anther planet. Mike Rutherford , well , he did his own solo album called Small Creeps Day which is Brilliant and Chester Thompson! Makes the Band as does Dave Bruford. MUSIC never again played as this was. One of their Great songs!!! Love you and Thanks for 40 plus years of music happiness. I listen to this everywhwere I travel!!!
I'm so happy for the time I lived, saw genesis with Peter in 1972. Never missed a concert after that. You have no idea what it was like in the 10th row at a Genesis concert, truly out of body experience
Same here Richard. The only negative side of Genesis, is that's hard to recognize other bands and there music. After all it a all sucks compared to the talent and greatness of Genesis.

The understanding that Phil has with Chester, and vice versa, is unlikely to be seen ever again…incredible…that little sequence at 5:05…one of the finest instrumentals by any band anywhere in the history of music…
