Masterpiece of Genesis. Oh my God, The Rolling Stones, Kiss, Genesis, The Police...I'm 52 and enjoyed that great music when I was a teenager. Compared to the music of today which is horrendous
I'm 50 and I disagree with that last statement. There's still a lot of great music being made, just like back then a lot of crap was made besides those gems that are still being played. It's different, that's all
@@davidgroeneveld1382 I think whenever people say "old music was better" or "there is no good music anymore" , they don't mean that to all extremes. @@conordoyle9481 , @David Groeneveld No, he's right. In the juke box of our small (+ - 5000 inhabitants) lake shore's town's young people's pub, of the about 80 songs represented in the box, Genesis' Domino was the only progressive rock music piece available to be chosen . As at the end of each 3 months the song least asked (= paid) for always was thrown out of the juke box (and, instead, a new song came in in exchange), i often went there and played the Domino three, sometimes four times in a row. The guests were finally often looking in surprise, but never any one complained. For about six years i could keep the Domino in the box that way, but then i had to leave the town for far away, for professional reasons. About two years later i visited my home town again, was eager to go into the pub - but the Domino track "had gone" : ( Some days later, as i was sitting quite sadly in front of my Martini in the pub, two girls came to my desk and asked: "You are the Domino man, aren't You ? What a fantastic show Genesis put on, love the lights and the special effects particularly when Collins was able to go and stand somewhere out of sight then project his face onto the massive screens behind the band (very clever).
