This is a channel for people who suffer from dissociation (depersonalization and derelization - DPDR). If you have depersonalization or derealization there is a way to get out of it and get your life back. DPDR is a form of anxiety that makes you feel like you're looking at yourself from the outside (depersonalization) or you experience life 'like looking through a fishbowl' (derealization), or both (DPDR). Essentially you feel disconnected from yourself and everything around you, for hours or even weeks and months at a time.
It can be extremely scary and exhausting and often it feels like there is no way out which causes a lot of anxiety. However, there is a way out and it's absolutely possible to live a normal and connected life, permanently.
If you'd like to know more about your depersonalization and derelization and how to overcome it, please book a free discovery call with me. Together we'll go into why you dissociate, the path to recovery, how to finally overcome it and how to stop it coming back.

Ive been struggling with dpdr now for a year and after trying to 'get on with life' I haven't been able to shake it off.
Istead i feel I am going down the anxiety and depression road to the point that i wake up and dread having to live another day of it. (So exhausting)
How did you get out of it? I try distractions and think long term recovery, but nothing is distracting enough or long enough and consistent enough to avoid falling back into the thought of dpdr and continuing in the vicious loop. What exactly did you do to recover?

There's no single answer to recovery and a comment is too short a space to write about it for it to have its true impact. Get in touch with a discovery call and we can talk in detail then. Link in the description.

Dan can you help me? I dont know what’s wrong with me. I feel like i get overstimulated and emotionally just shut down. I’m just totally blank. Flat. And i realize i feel like this so i try to over compensate by being funny, but it just comes off as fake and then i realize I’m not acting normal and overthink how I’m acting and have a panic attack. Like i just started a new job and i have so much anxiety it’s like i can’t feel other emotions. I can’t feel happy. I can’t loosen up and just be chill and have a normal conversation. I probably seem stiff to be around sometimes and i hate it
