I might be mistaken, isn't the plot they sent an AI out to investigate and find other worlds and they received no contact with Earth for nearly 3,000 years and this is them returning to investigate?

All parts seem to be edited in ways that make them both identifiable but also their own thing. The Nach head looks like its got a bit of Melander in there, but only just a bit (or it was just thickened). The Chest looks like a more rounder arqubes-like Loader 4 (or maybe a rounded out Steel haze orteus) with a more square-like Hal back piece to it. The Arms are Firmeza's that (as someone else said) look like "more angry looking shoulder pads". The legs are Hal legs without the wing pieces and a few exposed inner bits are now covered up. Honestly this looks sick as hell and kinda wish you could make this mech in the game. Its very Nice looking.
Everyone's mentioned AC6, but ngl, with all the broken skyscrapers and water around there, all you need is a massive laser beam cutting through the screen at times and some wacky looking robots and you basically have the intro to Nier Automata, maybe a factory at the end as well.

This short is an astounding piece of work to be coming from a one man army. You've got it in you to make as brilliant of a cinematic as ACfA. Amazing stuff, bravo!
Absolutely Magnificent. Pacing, music, dynamics of animation are graceful (hiding many little flaws I'm sure). My only negative, for myself, is the cutting back and forth from freefall to flying was unconsciously confusing timeline wise. It's established we are in atmosphere, "why the back and forth there?" my brain asks. Like going back minutes rather than hours.

Like I have said on the other comments, I had so much more scenes on my hand that I have rendered it but I had it to crop and remove bunch of them in order keep the animation not boring. I am glad you like it :D To be honest I use blender since 2 years and this was the first time I animate something :D I of course did a lot of reserach etc. Only pointers I can give is to imagine the movement that you are planning, record yourself doing that movement and try to copy that :'D for the details it's up to the person desire I beleive :)
@@huzeyfesina cool thanks for the pointers ill make sure to keep that in mind when im animating a human or humanoid character I think ive been with blender for a bit longer then you but its been an off and on relationship and to be honest ive lost so much knowledge and failed to get out of my comfort zone that im basically like a beginner again (doesn't help that school work/home stuff has been getting in the way) I'm going to start pushing my self more and release more stuff especially shorts content
This is very well done. I do like the parts being reconizable but not exact from the game. It lools like you merged design aspects from 3 cores and 2 heads, legs look slightly altered same with arms.
Great video. But if I were the author, I would be much more honest and open about the sources of inspiration. In the end, the author's work on redesigning assets is quite good. The end result is original enough not to be called plagiarism. I would write right at the beginning of the video: Inspired by... And for complete honesty, I would write in the description what work I did and what I used for it. But again, great video. Keep going and be open with what you are doing!

I love the ambient vibe of a Mech drop onto a quiet tomb of a world with the music and lighting being chill and calm, its not an aesthetic you see often with most mecha animations being hyperviolent battles with chaos and speed.
Pretty cool, but there are two massive immersion breakers: 1. The landing The giant mech lands on top of a building at full speed and nothing happens. Normally, he would end up in the basement of that building. Also... why no landing thrusters or anything? It would get smashed into peaces by that impact. 2. The flying That's something that also annoys me in AC and similar titles. This just doesn't work and it looks silly. The back thrusters point upwards, yet the mech moves horizintally. The "ambient" space scenes are pretty nice.

There were 2 options that I could do. First way is using the add on called lensFlares. It’s simple to use it and pretty self explanatory. Second one is using a lensflare that you can make by yourself and put it infront of the camera as a png image. Then simply playing with the shaders and color ramp to make the opacity up and down. It’s easier to show it then writing it I guess 😂 (I used the addon in the end 🙃)

Oh yeah! I inspired a lot from the Armored Core 6! I actually had just finished playing the game before I started doing this project! So I was already doodling mechs from the video game.I also inspired a lot from Titanfall, Halo etc.. which they are one of my favorite games! 😂

I couldn't get what's throwing me off because everything to the eye and ear seems fine, but i think i know now. It's the placement of the camera. It's almost always floating like a drone which subconsiously works against the idea that the AI is possibly the last human made object that moves. I think I'd replace these shots by placing camera on the ground, attach to the robot, to the main ship, in the building window or something like that. It might all be wrong lol i just have this feeling and trying to find the reason. Great work nonetheless!
You're absolutely right, and I realized that part after some time. Camera placement is something I definitely need to practice more. The reality is, I ran out of time and energy before I could finish the animation. It was fun to create, but it was so time-consuming that I had to make some sacrifices to complete it.
in AC 6 when going full on speed mode it usually took a more aerodynamic position (not enough in my opinion) but here it was even less, other then that it's a wery well made animation 👍👍

Thank you! I treid my best! I must say it's pretty challenging! Making an animation all by yourself is fun and tiring. I had pretty awful days where I was stuck but yet continued forward :D And here are the resutls! I am glad you liked it :D
0:28 This shot is just the best. It's conceptually simple, having the camera follow the mech down as it drops, but all the little jitters and the sway as it is let go to fall out into the cloudy expanse it's been previously safely held above makes it feel just right. Two things I'd like to give some constructive criticism for though: The progression of the mech's momentum scene to scene feels very odd, because it's down, forwards, down with no distinct indication of the initial fall being slowed down or it dropping out of flight for its landing. And also, it would have been nice to see the (what I assume to be) rocket powered cargo pod to land by the mech at the end. As it stands it just feels oddly disconnected from the main focus of the short, the only relation between it and the mech otherwise being that they are both descending from orbit onto the same planet from what I'm not even sure is the same ship.

Thank you for pointing out. Initially, the cargo pod was part of the animation, but I had to remove it for the sake of the story and due to time constraints. I anticipated there might be questions about the connection between the cargo pod and the mech, and this feedback confirms its importance once again :D Overeall I am aware of the gaps between some scenes. During post-production, I had to make selections to simplify the story, as there were too many scenes rendered. I know there is still a lot of work but maybe on the next project of mine I will consider these!! Thank you once again for your valuable feedback and for your support! Did you make these parts from scratch based on the AC6 parts or did you import them straight from the game and then alter the model? How did you get the models from the game?
@@cooperlittlehales6268 I have modelled everything in this animation by myself! I took references from the AC6 game that’s why the pieces from the Mecha has similarities with the real-game pieces. I just altered them so they are different slightly :) I did not take any models from the game itself.

All parts seem to be edited in ways that make them both identifiable but also their own thing.
The Nach head looks like its got a bit of Melander in there, but only just a bit (or it was just thickened). The Chest looks like a more rounder arqubes-like Loader 4 (or maybe a rounded out Steel haze orteus) with a more square-like Hal back piece to it. The Arms are Firmeza's that (as someone else said) look like "more angry looking shoulder pads". The legs are Hal legs without the wing pieces and a few exposed inner bits are now covered up.
Honestly this looks sick as hell and kinda wish you could make this mech in the game. Its very Nice looking.

Absolutely Magnificent. Pacing, music, dynamics of animation are graceful (hiding many little flaws I'm sure).
My only negative, for myself, is the cutting back and forth from freefall to flying was unconsciously confusing timeline wise. It's established we are in atmosphere, "why the back and forth there?" my brain asks. Like going back minutes rather than hours.

I love the ambient vibe of a Mech drop onto a quiet tomb of a world with the music and lighting being chill and calm, its not an aesthetic you see often with most mecha animations being hyperviolent battles with chaos and speed.

Pretty cool, but there are two massive immersion breakers:
1. The landing
The giant mech lands on top of a building at full speed and nothing happens. Normally, he would end up in the basement of that building.
Also... why no landing thrusters or anything? It would get smashed into peaces by that impact.
2. The flying
That's something that also annoys me in AC and similar titles. This just doesn't work and it looks silly. The back thrusters point upwards, yet the mech moves horizintally.
The "ambient" space scenes are pretty nice.

And because man has been freed from Satan's dark influence, and man will be the spoil in all these battles, and Satan will be the object of punishment at the end of this battle, after the total work of salvation is done of mankind will be completed.)

I see lens flare! How did you do it?
There were 2 options that I could do. First way is using the add on called lensFlares. It’s simple to use it and pretty self explanatory. Second one is using a lensflare that you can make by yourself and put it infront of the camera as a png image. Then simply playing with the shaders and color ramp to make the opacity up and down. It’s easier to show it then writing it I guess 😂 (I used the addon in the end 🙃)

Oh yeah! I inspired a lot from the Armored Core 6! I actually had just finished playing the game before I started doing this project! So I was already doodling mechs from the video game.I also inspired a lot from Titanfall, Halo etc.. which they are one of my favorite games! 😂

I couldn't get what's throwing me off because everything to the eye and ear seems fine, but i think i know now. It's the placement of the camera. It's almost always floating like a drone which subconsiously works against the idea that the AI is possibly the last human made object that moves. I think I'd replace these shots by placing camera on the ground, attach to the robot, to the main ship, in the building window or something like that. It might all be wrong lol i just have this feeling and trying to find the reason. Great work nonetheless!
You're absolutely right, and I realized that part after some time. Camera placement is something I definitely need to practice more. Amazing animation. The only thing that really bothers me tho is at 1:42. No way that roof/building wouldn't collapse with landing like that.
Thank you for your feedback! I’ve seen similar comments about the building roof not showing damage or collapsing when something huge falls on it. The reality is, I ran out of time and energy before I could finish the animation. It was fun to create, but it was so time-consuming that I had to make some sacrifices to complete it.

in AC 6 when going full on speed mode it usually took a more aerodynamic position (not enough in my opinion) but here it was even less, other then that it's a wery well made animation 👍👍

0:28 This shot is just the best. It's conceptually simple, having the camera follow the mech down as it drops, but all the little jitters and the sway as it is let go to fall out into the cloudy expanse it's been previously safely held above makes it feel just right.
Two things I'd like to give some constructive criticism for though: The progression of the mech's momentum scene to scene feels very odd, because it's down, forwards, down with no distinct indication of the initial fall being slowed down or it dropping out of flight for its landing.
And also, it would have been nice to see the (what I assume to be) rocket powered cargo pod to land by the mech at the end. As it stands it just feels oddly disconnected from the main focus of the short, the only relation between it and the mech otherwise being that they are both descending from orbit onto the same planet from what I'm not even sure is the same ship.

Momentum progression is something that I should definitely work on. Thank you for pointing out.
Initially, the cargo pod was part of the animation, but I had to remove it for the sake of the story and due to time constraints. I anticipated there might be questions about the connection between the cargo pod and the mech, and this feedback confirms its importance once again :D
Overeall I am aware of the gaps between some scenes. During post-production, I had to make selections to simplify the story, as there were too many scenes rendered. I know there is still a lot of work but maybe on the next project of mine I will consider these!!

Did you make these parts from scratch based on the AC6 parts or did you import them straight from the game and then alter the model? How did you get the models from the game?
@@cooperlittlehales6268 I have modelled everything in this animation by myself! I took references from the AC6 game that’s why the pieces from the Mecha has similarities with the real-game pieces. I just altered them so they are different slightly :) I did not take any models from the game itself.
The only AC that survived from earth (AC6) is this?
