It's so gratifying to have seen 'Azureus Rising' in my childhood, and today, as an adult, being able to see an animated series again, something I was so excited about so much at the time.

Possible telepathy (Maybe just used on him) or simply a dream sequence, since that's what woke him up. Also, don't forget his armor, it has a map which probably wasn't built in and is quite durable to brush off shots from a gun that tore thru their own armor when used against them. Probably some durability enhancement too since he didn't flinch from the shots themselves. He let the last guy live, either because he didn't want to or didn't care to kill someone who stopped being an active threat.
When i saw the thumbnail today, i could have sworn that i saw this character years and yearsnago and i was right. Crazy that i finally got to see a full animation of it.
I remember seeing the proof of concept back in highschool and wishing that it was something more. It straight up *changed* my entire taste in media and aesthetics. The fact that it's fully realized all these years later, and it perfectly encapsulates everything I fuckin' love is almost unreal.

I agree it’s amazing to finally see this animation get off the ground after so long! But Ruin probably it’s never going to continue considering Wes Ball went on to direct the Maze Runner movies.
The dynamics of the fight scenes is captivating, in that it doesn't rely on generic tropes; this character utilizes the tools around him and doesn't rely solely on his own power. I look forward to seeing how this unfolds.
The attention to detail is absolutely amazing, there is real potential in this as a series or video game. I am no marketing person but if you can get this out there an in front of more people i am sure you will get funding, it only takes convincing the right people to get it done. So thank you for all the teams hard work :)
I can't say that I grew up with your previous projects as I was an adult when I saw Azureus over ten years ago, but it's stuck with me ever since and it's great to see that you guys are doing well.
If it wasn't for Facebook I wouldn't have known this existed at all. WOW that's really awesome. It has full potential to be an Indie movie that I'd pay for. Just subbed.
Amazing work! Hadn't seen anything leading up to this. Lots of great inspirations found in here: Star Wars, Star Wars The Force Unleashed, Haze, Dragonball series, Nausicaä - not a dig at all, these are all things worth being inspired of. Love to see it come together in a unique, cool way. Great slow-mo action and sound design.
13 years ago I watched the first movie and was stunned by the crazy good visuals. And now you've continued the series with a movie that's on par with Astartes! Awesome work, guys! Thank you for this Christmas present!
This gives that professional feel, this really feels like a new Astartes type of project, and really after so many years thinking there won't be any continuation from the first animation with this character, this is really amazing, more people need to see this.

The physics are just so impressive. Things have weight and momentum and the hyper realism of the animation is breathtaking. This is the finest animation work of its kind that I've ever seen.

the proof of concept that has been released 13 years ago is actually what made me want to become a 3D animator! !and here I'm! i HOPE if i can work on the next one even if it is only a one frame! or still pose!!
The animation is absolutely beautiful, especially how fluid the motion is. I'm not usually a fan of ridiculous camera angles but since there is a cartoonish or let's call it a stylized look and feel, it totally works.
Man oh man.. i been waiting for this for a very looong time. I remember the first trailer had me with goosebumps yet last year i had a memory of Azureus and the funny thing is i forgot the name. So i kept going into google and searching "cyborg fighting with a mecha-spider", never got the preferred results though.. But fortunately youtube got my back and then this showed up..

that was insane. the detail of the bubbles on the mask, the destruction of the facility, and the physics of the bodies flying. the production quality is incredible. this is the most polished "small studio" animation ive seen since ASTARTES. Also, I thought the guards were still robots like on AZUREUS rising until i saw the guard shaking and the leg bleeding lol. again, amazing job. cant wait to see more!
It makes me very happy to see that the project continues. I think it was in 2012 when I saw the extended trailer and I liked it so much that from time to time I searched to see if it had something new and my surprise is that today I found something new.

I was never expecting Azureus to get picked up again, but god damn if this isn't a welcome surprise! Nobody else is saying it, so I will- I love that his hair is all blue and gravity-defying because it's just filled with sheer power! It's so nuts and I love it!
This is how you do action scenes with super powered characters! No shaky cam nonsense, no jump edit garbage. The beauty and the terror of the scene playing out like a well choreographed dance of destruction. Well done!
Well, those things happen because of actually filming real actors using stunt doubles. This is animated and doesn't have the same limitations, which you'll find is common in animation in general.
@@muntu1221 Almost like animation is just a better medium for doing things like superheroes. Perhaps. Just perhaps, they should put more money into producing top class animation and leave off the live action drek that's been getting shoved out these last few years.
@grimdolo918 I'm never going to be of the opinion that one medium should just not exist or can't function for a certain genre. That's elitist and not conducive to producing better art. And this is coming from someone who advocates for expanding the animation industry. But live action movies still serve a purpose.

Azureus has been on the back of my mind for YEARS, to see the project blooming is a dream come true!!! The physics omg, the light, THE MODELS!!! The quality looks from a big studio!!! I liked how the guards weren't incompetent to over hype him up but that in fact he is actually a monster compared to them, and a morally gray one at that they are actually afraid of ahhh I can't wait to see more of this project!!!
What an incredible Christmas gift. I was on the toilet when I saw the words "THE ANIMATED SERIES". it was the quickest shit of my life, to drag myself onto the couch and watch the new video on television rather than on the phone. and it was worth it, Azureus kicks ass!

Love the animation, the movement, character, everything…I also loved how the blue haired guy literally run head first with no fucks given of the fact that the soldiers were firing at him..my most favorite of this animation is how skilled and strong he is…he has to be the most badass character for how he single-handedly took on a whole group by himself..I hope we get to see more of him..keep it up!🎉

It's so gratifying to have seen 'Azureus Rising' in my childhood, and today, as an adult, being able to see an animated series again, something I was so excited about so much at the time.

This has been so long in the making and I’m hella proud of y’all for sticking with it. I am PSYCHED to see the finished product, and inspired to keep working on my own worlds.

Has a past with the other guy

HYPER LETHAL
Has a motive for revenge
Exists in a universe with incredibly advanced technology
Moderate possibility that there are others like him or at least equal to his power
Possible telepathy (Maybe just used on him) or simply a dream sequence, since that's what woke him up.
Also, don't forget his armor, it has a map which probably wasn't built in and is quite durable to brush off shots from a gun that tore thru their own armor when used against them.
Probably some durability enhancement too since he didn't flinch from the shots themselves.
He let the last guy live, either because he didn't want to or didn't care to kill someone who stopped being an active threat.
What gave it away that he's in a universe with advance technology

I remember seeing the proof of concept back in highschool and wishing that it was something more. It straight up *changed* my entire taste in media and aesthetics. The fact that it's fully realized all these years later, and it perfectly encapsulates everything I fuckin' love is almost unreal.

The dynamics of the fight scenes is captivating, in that it doesn't rely on generic tropes; this character utilizes the tools around him and doesn't rely solely on his own power. I look forward to seeing how this unfolds.
The attention to detail is absolutely amazing, there is real potential in this as a series or video game.
I am no marketing person but if you can get this out there an in front of more people i am sure you will get funding, it only takes convincing the right people to get it done.

Lots of great inspirations found in here: Star Wars, Star Wars The Force Unleashed, Haze, Dragonball series, Nausicaä - not a dig at all, these are all things worth being inspired of. 13 years ago I watched the first movie and was stunned by the crazy good visuals. And now you've continued the series with a movie that's on par with Astartes! Awesome work, guys! Thank you for this Christmas present!
This gives that professional feel, this really feels like a new Astartes type of project, and really after so many years thinking there won't be any continuation from the first animation with this character, this is really amazing, more people need to see this.

The animation is absolutely beautiful, especially how fluid the motion is. I'm not usually a fan of ridiculous camera angles but since there is a cartoonish or let's call it a stylized look and feel, it totally works.

So i kept going into google and searching "cyborg fighting with a mecha-spider", never got the preferred results though.. But fortunately youtube got my back and then this showed up..

Like, "man i really would like to know what the hell happened to that" but couldn't rememver the name for the life of me. Now i do. that was insane. the detail of the bubbles on the mask, the destruction of the facility, and the physics of the bodies flying. the production quality is incredible. this is the most polished "small studio" animation ive seen since ASTARTES. Also, I thought the guards were still robots like on AZUREUS rising until i saw the guard shaking and the leg bleeding lol.

It makes me very happy to see that the project continues. I think it was in 2012 when I saw the extended trailer and I liked it so much that from time to time I searched to see if it had something new and my surprise is that today I found something new.

Well, those things happen because of actually filming real actors using stunt doubles. This is animated and doesn't have the same limitations, which you'll find is common in animation in general.
@@muntu1221 Almost like animation is just a better medium for doing things like superheroes. Perhaps. Just perhaps, they should put more money into producing top class animation and leave off the live action drek that's been getting shoved out these last few years.
@grimdolo918 I'm never going to be of the opinion that one medium should just not exist or can't function for a certain genre. That's elitist and not conducive to producing better art. And this is coming from someone who advocates for expanding the animation industry. But live action movies still serve a purpose.

The physics omg, the light, THE MODELS!!! The quality looks from a big studio!!! I liked how the guards weren't incompetent to over hype him up but that in fact he is actually a monster compared to them, and a morally gray one at that they are actually afraid of ahhh I can't wait to see more of this project!!!

What an incredible Christmas gift. I was on the toilet when I saw the words "THE ANIMATED SERIES". it was the quickest shit of my life, to drag myself onto the couch and watch the new video on television rather than on the phone. and it was worth it, Azureus kicks ass!
Holy shit, the improvements since the last 13 years is unreal. The original looked fantastic, but this is leaps and bounds from the original. Great job!

Love the animation, the movement, character, everything…I also loved how the blue haired guy literally run head first with no fucks given of the fact that the soldiers were firing at him..my most favorite of this animation is how skilled and strong he is…he has to be the most badass character for how he single-handedly took on a whole group by himself..I hope we get to see more of him..keep it up!🎉

Like some have said , its been awhile , but that was SSSOOO worth it , fantastic job everything was top notch, Character design , modeling , animation !!, vfx , sound design all of it was so refreshing after all the AI stuff floating around. Job well done !
